Another typical day

Today was a day that I didn't get hardly anything done that I wanted to.
I had a list of 11 things that were to be completed today and I only finished 3 of them.
I don't know if it was because I ran out of time, unmotivated or just plan lazy.

I took Ashley driving again. She did pretty good.
Heather has been reading her drivers handbook and took a mock drivers test on the Internet. She passed it. Ashley was trying to get her to write it. But it is pretty expensive to take it, so she wants to wait a little bit until she is sure that she will pass it.

I am seriously mad at myself for not getting any crafting in for quite awhile. I made a resolution at the beginning of the year to be creative everyday. FAIL, big time.
I have so many ideas in my head and so many things I want and need to get done. I just don't seem to make it my top priority.
Why do we do that. We enjoy something, have a passion for it really, and we put at the end of our lists. Why are we (me) as women always put last on our list. Kids, husband, home, all are on the top of our list and if we have time and energy after all that is taken care of we then can do the things we want to.
I am like that with everything I even wrote about it a couple of years ago, I found it while I was cleaning my scrap/craft room.
Hubby took my out for dinner. It has been awhile since just him and I went out, we usually go out as a family. This is my favorite appetizer. 4 cheese spinach dip at Montana's.

When we got to the restaurant (which was very busy) Kristy phoned me. Now I normally don't have my phone on in a restaurant, but I forgot I had it with me, actually it has been on for 3 days, I never use it LOL. So anyway she asks where we are as it is so noisy (we never told them we were going out). I could tell by her sigh that she wasn't pleased. Until I told her Dad is taking me on a date. I guess the was ok because she just asked me to pick her up a pop. LOL.

So here is to tomorrow, a day to create.

  1. Yes, tracy I had a big list today too and got done three things.
I was told by hubby that my art comes first cause I was updating my site. They don't have a clue how much time it takes to do that. My art is the last thing, like yours.
I got mine to cook today at least. MOm took me to dinner so I didn't have to cook- yipppee.
I hope your daughters arm is feeling better.
maybe tomorrow I will get more done.
    Have a good one.

Wow that's a starter it looks humongous but delish.. mmm making me hungry.... why are us women all the same about things we want to do? when I am old and dribbly I don't want to look back and think WHY the f**k didn't I do what I wanted!! so I am making a new years resolution TODAY... to do what I want, when I want. thanks Tracy for the great inspiration... but then I only have a hubby and no children to consider so maybe just maybe...

  3. Sounds like a lot of us women are in the same boat. I managed to work on a tag last night for a page that's been sitting. But that's all I've done. I have piles of pictures begging me to scrap them and ideas are swimming out my ears. *sigh*
maybe today. Keep plugging, Tracy. We're with you

  6. Hi Tracy,

Us as women, call all relate....I am sure. Mom's are always last on the list to be taken care of or to have our needs or wants met. Sad, because we normally hold the weight of the world, on our shoulders.

Make sure to do what you want today! As for me, my Mom has my kids and hubby is working....so I am taking the day off and only doing what I want to do. HA! May work in the studio, may not. We shall see. I am taking is SLOW. I even slept in! That does not normally happen.

I hope your daughters arm is better. Have a great day. It is gloomy and raining here, no fun.
