Did I really eat that!

I swore I would never put one of these in my mouth ever again.
I haven't had one of these in my mouth for over 5 yrs.
Every time I think of one, I get this gagging reflex in my throat.

What you may wonder am I talking about? Get your mind out of the gutter, I know what certain of my blogger friends are thinking, tsk tsk. LOL.
I am talking about wieners. I watched a show on how these puppies are made and let me tell you it isn't pretty. If I see how certain foods are prepared or made and it grosses me out, I can't eat that type of food anymore.
Hubby tells me I can't watch these types of shows anymore or I will stop eating all together.

Well we had corn on the cob, hot dogs and potato salad. I did not have a hot dog. But then later on I started to get hungry and thought, oh I'll have one, its been years. It went down just fine. Then about 15 minutes later I felt yucky. I wanted to vomit. I didn't, thankfully. But I can't stop thinking of how they make these and I feel all gaggy.

Okay now onto a better subject. Took Ashley driving again. I had some errands to do and figured she needed the practice, it was nice having a chauffeur. Heather came along. Because she read the driver's hand book she was critiquing the other drivers. LOL.

You maybe wondering if I did any crafting/scrapbooking today and unfortunately I have to say "No".
But I did organize my scrap/craft room for a tad today. I also did a bit of craft shopping.
I went to my LSS (local scrapbooking store). They had buy 2 adhesives for the ATG gun and get 1 free. So I bought 4 got 2 free. I may need to go back and get more :)
Also Michael's had some stamp sets on sale. I had 2, 50% off coupons and couldn't find anything to buy with them. So I bought red sticky strip.
We have a debate going on in my home. Hubby and Ashley want to go to our cottage Friday after work. Kristy doesn't want to go at all. She doesn't want to go until school is done for the year, but said that she would go on Saturday morning. Heather and I don't care which day or if we go at all.
So far it is Saturday, but time will tell.

Thankful Thursday
1. Shopping, that is always something to be thankful for :)
2. A nice day.
3 A vehicle to drive.
4. A smile on my girls faces.
5. Pretty flowers

What are you grateful for?

  1. Mom was better today Tracy, thanks for asking. No she hurt herself just like I did. Trying to take the curtain rod down. Those fancy things with the hooks and strings. They are awful looking. Mom uses tension rods. they fit just about any window and when you Move a lot it is the only way to go. We were a military family.
Nice loot, I can't wait to go to the LSS. Tomorrow. Yippeee
Have a great weekend no matter what you do.

  3. Tracy, a lot of "rules" have changed about what goes in hotdogs now a days. (They used to put stuff in there I wouldn't feed my dog.) I have to be in the mood for a hotdog....and it doesn't come often. I much prefer a CHEESEBURGER! :)

    Get crafting TODAY woman!

  5. We love a good hotdog - the ones in natural casings. They have a nice snap when you bite into them. Our favorite hotdogs are Deutschmacher, which, of course, we cannot get down south!

  6. I'm grateful that my diet doesn't include hot dogs! Ick!

I have a hot dog story that I like to tell, but it's too long to leave as a comment. It's on my blog though if I can get this link to work: Pig Eyeballs: A Hot Dog Story. You might like it!

  9. I feel the same way about hot dogs! Its funny but I only eat them when I am in a golf tournament and thats all you get at the turn. When I try and eat them at home I get so sick after as well! Must be a mental thing :)
