One Year Old :)

Today is 1 full year since I started my blog, Yeah me. You know I haven't missed one day of posting. I posted every single day.

Everyone is talking about their New Years Resolutions.
I have mine as well, but first let me share a card I made today.
It is an easel card. I have wanted to make one of these ever since the first time I saw one. I don't know why I do that, but I always put off what I want to do.
Does that make sense to you? I always do the things I don't want to do before I do something I really want to do. I started making this for my sister. She loves the colour blue and so I started with the colours. Then I couldn't find anything that suited her for the image. So I think this will go to her daughter, my niece Amanda. They both have birthdays this month.
Isn't this just a neat type of card?OK so onto my Resolutions for this year.
Here is my Resolutions for last year "my first blog post".
Ya I wasn't to successful.

My Resolutions for 2011 are:
Scrap booking:
Do a double page layout once a month.
Try my hand at some sketches
Try some challenges
Finish my Camp/cottage journal
Make more mini albums, even if they don't have a purpose...i love those
Other Crafts:
Make my Christmas quilt that I bought for this year
Sew my purses that I bought patterns for
Continue to enjoy my paper crafts
Make the projects that I wanted to make last year.
Tweak my blog and YouTube channel.
Life Goals:
Get more active, I need this for my health, not an option
Loose 10 lbs these two go hand in hand
I would love to end the soda but not doable...so cut down.
Eat more healthy
Be creative everyday. This does not mean making a project everyday, but being creative in one way or the other.
Put myself first. This is going to be the hardest of all. I put my family and friends first.
This looks like a long list, I know. But they are doable. And they will enrich my life. They are things that I am passionate about. So because of that, I will hopefully obtain most of them.
So what are your resolutions. Or are you like my SIL and don't put the pressure on yourself, because you know you won't follow through with them?
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and you get to be creative today.
Tracy

  4. Happy New Year, Tracy! I love your card! Are you going to do a tutorial? I would love to make one of those. Since I have been a bad, bad blogger, one of my resolutions is to be more on top of that. And to scrapbook more and make my son a quilt. I can go on and on. You get the picture.LOL

  6. Happy New Year, Tracy. You do have a list of resolutions. I am a person that doesn't make any. I worked my 12 hour shift today-but that is OK, as it was big money. Cait and I watched a movie when I got home. Interesting card. Haven't seen one of those before. I had Curtis open the door to let the New Year in, as I had gone to bed long before. Getting up at 4:30 is a killer. Will try and get the decorations down today-like to leave them up until the New Year though.

  7. I think you should definately make more cards Tracy, this is fabulous, easel cards always look better and more intricate and the receiver won't know how easy it was.

Such a long list of resolutions, but good luck with them and hope you enjoy doing everything on your list. This is the first year I haven't made any resolutions, i'm just gonna take each day as it comes this year and make the most of each one.
    Happy crafting
    Tracy x

  8. Tracy,
I love your card and I am sure your niece will as well. And wow, you posted everyday, that is terrific. I have a list of goals myself, but I think I will start with trying to blog daily.

  10. Happy Birthday, blog! I'm totally impressed with your daily blogging. My New Year's Resolutions involve having a much shorter To Do list in 2011 than I did in 2010!

  13. Happy One Year to your blog!!!!My only resolution that I know I can accomplish this year is to be more grateful of my family and friends, you never know when can happen. Spend more quality time with my boys doing what they like...and yes, this means a little less crafting for me but they are growing rapidly and sometimes I feel like I have missed some things from being pre-occupied. I also agree with yours on eating healthier and being more active :0) The rest will just have to fall in to place. Good luck with yours!

  14. Happy one year old to your blog! I'm starting in on year six I think, or five and a half, but since I only post once a week, you have me well outnumbered!!!!!!!

That is a LOT of resolutions! I generally stick to one a year, and even then it sometimes takes me more than a year or two to accomplish only the one. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

  15. One year! Go you!
You have a ton of goals! I'm pretty confident you'll complete most of that list!

  16. Wow congrats on having updated this blog everday! <33 I'm sure you can accomplish all! I need to certainly start trying to accomplish all my goals, lol.

I have a suggestion that may help for your soda goal. I hate sounding like I'm selling something, but I just love this soda so much. It basically tastes exactly like soda, only it's 100% natural. My sister loved Coke way too much (LOL) and we popped in a natural store, saw them, bought and loved them. It's much healthier and better to drink for sure. Here's their link: http://www.blueskysoda.com/

Again sorry. But feel this drink deserves so much love: it really tates exactly like soda.
Anyways, sorry for the long ramble there.
And tons of luck on accomplishing all these goals!

  17. You are doing such a great job without using the mega-bucks markers! And being faithful to blog every day is very impressive. I don't make official resolutions. Works better for me to make tiny, unofficial ones.

Happy New Year to you and your family!

  18. I have a short list but it is to blog more, share more, take pics more often. And to loose a few more lbs.
To get the house organized and leave the clutter behind. That is it.
Love the card, always wanted to do one too. I think I will in a few days when I get the studio done. Here's hoping anyway.
    hugs,Pea
