Eggs in a Nest Part II

The eggs in a nest I made yesterday were good. But the ones I made today, were eggcelant. Sorry I just had to, teehee. I took this picture, pretty good if I do say so myself ;)

You wanted the recipe for yesterday's nests. Well it is very easy. I altered the recipe, it is suppose to have ,mini marshmallows in them and different amounts of ingredients. Here is what I used.
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup chocolate chips
microwave them to melt and then added chow mien noodles.
Plopped them on wax paper added 3 Cadbury  Mini eggs to each one. Yup that's it.

Today's recipe is a bit more work, teehee. I only did half of this recipe as I only wanted about 10 of them.
3 cups rolled oats
4 tbsps unsweetened cocoa powder
Mix these ingredients together.
Heat on stove.
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Boil for 1 minute. then add to the dry ingredients. Mix, then form into balls (I used a little ice-cream scope thingy) and drop onto wax paper, then refrigerate. Like I said I only made 1/2 of this.

Look what we woke up to this morning. I know it isn't much, but its still snow :(  Spring is coming I know it is. Mind you I shouldn't really be surprised as this happens every year. But I think winter came early this year and we are all just a bit tired of the snow.

Today I worked on the Baby mini. I just finished binding the pages and putting the pattern papers on the chipboard. You can tell its a boy mini as all the papers are blue :)
I was going to use mint colours, but changed my mind at the last second. Hope I am happy with it.
I brought all my stuff upstairs to work on it, as Hubby wants me to watch movies with him today. Which is nice, except I have to keep running downstairs for something. He turns off the movie and waits for me. Funny as we could probably recite every movie we own....which is a lot.
Guess what type of movies we watched.....if you guessed Zombie movies you are correct, teehee.
Can you believe I haven't even tried any of my new Copics yet!!
Well I plan on doing that tonight. I am going to colour some images that Schell gave me as she gave me some baby images and I think they will go great with this mini. Thanks Schell.http://www.schellscraftcorner.blogspot.com/

I keep thinking that today is Sunday because everyone had Friday off. So happy I am wrong.
Hope your weekend has been a creative one.

Tracy

  10. Happy Easter to you and your family. Hope the snow leaves for good this time and your Spring finally shows itself for real :-)

Glad you and your Hubby got to spend some time together. It is cool he paused the movie while you ran off to get more supplies. He didn't want you to miss anything while you were gone.

Your treats look yummy, and so cute.

  15. Hi Tracy,
I have just caught up on your blog, OMG that album that Pea sent you and the goodies were truly stunning. Your Mini's and Pea's are so spectacular, I wouldn't know where to start, although I really would love to give it a go.

I know you post your Mini's on You Tube, but I'm not a member is there a way I can view them, as I'd really love to see them Tracy.

We visit zoo's alot, in fact we went to one today, we took loads of photo's as my youngest son is so obsessed with animals and he's only 5, he would love a mini that would fit in with his love of animals, but I wouldn't know what to do.

A really silly question, for example the mini Pea sent you, what do you do with it, are they for putting photo's in, like a scrapbook?

Hope you've had a good Easter
    Happy crafting
    Tracy x
