Welcome....you little stinker

I know when I am defeated
I give up. Welcome to my backyard my friend...Welcome.
And being the gracious host that I am I even put out some pretty flowers at its entrance.
You guessed it the skunk is here to stay.
I am thinking its a skunk. We haven't seen it yet.
Hubby is putting out his live trap as we speak. But I wouldn't be surprised if the sneaky bugger takes the treats without even getting into the trap.

Onto My Day:
Had a doctors appointment this afternoon. It was just a GP. I have had sore knees for years, now my hands are sore in the morning. Well he finally took x-rays, and took more blood. No wonder I am low on iron, every doctor I see wants my blood, lol.
As it turned out my, whatever levels, are a bit high for rheumatoid arthritis. Fun, joy, wonderful.
My dad (step dad) had this and had twisted joints and had both knees replaced. Like I said I am on the low readings so not to worried. Just something else to chalk up on my list. LOL.

I brought Heather and I home Wendy's for lunch. I really like the Apple Pecan Salad. So good. Even though Kristy says it tastes like fart, lol.

I ran to my local book binding store, as I was looking for some different colours of binding tapes. Not only did the lady give me some more tape. She also gave me their cut off pieces of book board (thick chipboard). I was so giddy. She said they just throw them in the recycles or trash. She told me to come by every couple of weeks and they will just give them to me.
I think the double double from Tim Horton's helped ;)

I got to create today. I am stumped right now on my project. I thought I had it all figured out. But the last part is giving me trouble. Hopefully I will dream about it tonight and it will go smoothly tomorrow.
Sharon is in the States so we didn't get our Friday Night scrap booking in. I think it has come to an end for the season. As we don't do it in the summer because we go to camp almost every weekend.
We would have gone this weekend, but Hubby is working again.

I hope you all had a creative day today.
To my American friends hope you have a wonderful long weekend :)
For my Canadian friends hope you have a wonderful regular weedend :)

  5. I'm so sad to hear about your health problems, and I understand why you are counting all of the small blessings every day. Although the skunk is probably NOT one of those blessings, huh? ;)
    I hope you'll catch him!

  7. Sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope that you are feeling a bit better soon.
I'm going to have to try that Wendy's salad that you had. Their berry almond chicken salad is sooo good!

  8. Ooohhh, I had a Wendy's Baja salad yesterday and it was delicious! My mom had the one with strawberries and chicken, don't remember what it's called. Neither of them tasted like gas :) Mike thinks the flowers will be what drives the skunk away! Lol!

  9. Oh that was good luck at the book binding place! It reminds me of when the lady at the grocery store used to save the lox wings for my grandmother. It's smoke salmon. Most of the fish is really, really expensive, but the "wings" (the fins I think) they just used to throw away.

I'm sorry about all the doctor visits and the low whatever levels. :-( :-( :-(

  11. Tracy,
You are such a hoot, putting out a welcome sign for your visitor.
My step dad had a trap to get the squirrels that were invading his outside patio. And lo and behold he once got a skunk and that was quite the issue.
What a great deal you got on the excess book binding--way to go.
Hope you are doing better with your health problems. Getting older stinks!!!!
Hope your creative process is working out better for you today.
And you have a great weekend too.

  14. That is just too funny! I love the welcome sign.

Sorry to hear about more health issues. I've got the same thing going on here. I now either have brain damage or Adult ADD. I'm pretty sure it's ADD since it runs in family but they have to check anyway to rule it out especially since I've been falling a lot lately.
