Back to Reality

Today is my BIL's 60th Birthday. We celebrated last night with some cake and ice-cream at our cottage.
Here is the card I made him.
I used 4 different stamps to make this card.
The faux stamp is popped up with foam tape.
I am not overly excited with how this card turned out. Actually I don't think I even like it, lol.
But he just throws them away after, so no biggie.
Remember last week when I cleaned up my scrap room.
This is what I found :)
Well not exactly....it HAD a chocolate bar in it when I found it, lol.
I had wondered where it went. I had thought one of the girls (or more like Hubby) had found it and claimed it as their own.
This was my view most of the day today.
We came home from camp and went straight to the "Pit".
Heather had to grease the trucks.
Hubby was excited to go on his bulldozer.
And I did some of my book work.
Yes that is 2 cans of pop you see there. I was in there working for about 8 hours.
At least I had air conditioning, they didn't.
I have a very busy week. I sure hope I get everything completed.
I am going for a girls weekend with my friend, Debbie, next Monday. We do this every year. I think we have been doing this for the last 10 years.

Hope your Monday was a creative one.

  2. I like the look of the card! I'm a fan of the antique post card look:)
I think I will be making a tutorial on that rose. It turned out so pretty and there are so many tips that would have been useful to know while i was making it. I've never made a tutorial so I hope it turns out ok:)

  5. I was kinda surprised that you didn't like the card, I thought it was awesome!

Never heard of that candy bar, so it's obviously not in the states.

I'm NOT a fan of doing bookwork, so I commend you for being so good at getting yours done, but I know the bills don't paid of you don't.

  7. I like the card. It's very manly. For some reason it is really hard to do masculine things.

I don't know about the chocolate bar. Would I be more upset about them being in my scrap space or eating my chocolate? Hmmm

Hope you finish your bookwork quickly so you can get back to your amazing crafting!

  8. Love the vinage look of your card; I have a hard time creating a masculine card. Never heard of an Aero bar, but glad you found it!

  14. Your card looks just fine! I have to laugh, though....I cringe at the thought of people throwing away cards I pour so much effort into...but heck, I guess they can't keep everything...lol.
