More berries and a heat embossed card.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
Again the weather is perfect here at our cottage.
Hubby, Heather and Kristy went swimming, I just put my feet in, then fell asleep on the dock.
Hubby and I picked blueberries and then I went and picked some more on my own. Bad picking this year, but so far I have picked 16+ cups of berries today......I think there is going to be a blueberry cheese cake in the works this week ;)

Today's card is for Wayne's uncle's family. His uncle passed away of a massive heart attack last Friday. He was only 59 yrs old.
I hope this gives the family some comfort in knowing that we are thinking of them.

As for the card itself. I heat embossed the whole image and then coloured in the flowers and birds with my Stampin' Up markers.
The blue trim around the image is just coloured with markers

I love this sentiment.
I also heat embossed the sentiment.
I had the worst sleep last night, I think I was up coughing every 1/2 hour. I even got out of bed and went on the couch for a couple of hours. I finally fell sound asleep when Hubby went fishing.
He thought he would be a sweetie and make me breakfast so we could go berry picking ( I told him the night before I wanted to go by 10:00am before it got to hot).
I was ....lets say..... not to happy to be woken up from my sound sleep.
Yes I apologised.
He told me to go back to sleep. But I did want to pick some berries and I thought I could nap during the day, which I did :)

Hope you all have a wonderful, creative day.
PS I will be getting a good night sleep tonight, as I am going to make myself a hot toddy tonight. And for someone who doesn't drink ( I really don't drink, I tried it at the age of 15. Hated it and have never tried another one) this should be interesting, lol.
Hubby is curious anyway, lol.

  11. The card is wonderful and I love that you used that sentiment on it. I had not thought about using that one for a Sympathy card.

Gosh, I hope you get to feeling better real soon! I've never had a hot toddy myself, but I hope it does the trick.

  12. I'm sorry to hear about Wayne's uncle. 59 is too young. :-( I know his family found comfort in getting that card. Hope you are feeling better! I don't drink either, but when I imbibe every once in a blue moon, I say I act more sober when I'm drunk than when I'm not.:-P
