Week 14 of the He-Art Challenge and Thankful Thursday

Wow week 14 of this challenge.
The challenges lasts for 23 weeks. So only 9 more to go. And I haven't missed a one, not even when we were in Montana in hotels for a week :)

So here was last weeks challenge.

WEEK 14- Two-Toned or Tonal
Assignment: Create a spread or a page using only two main colors! This could be a background wash.Use any stamps you want, colors, etc. Not necessary to use any TGF stamps, this is YOUR journal, do what you want cuz you rule that journal!

So here is my take on the challenge.
I really like how this one turned out.

It was a struggle as I had a couple different themes in my mind.
But being that Halloween is near, I thought it was best to go with this one
I wanted to use watercolours, as with water colouring your shades vary. And with only being able to use 2 colours, this would have been a bonus.
But it just wasn't working. So I opted to use my copics on the images and water colour for my background.

I used a border punch for the spider webs bordering the scene. I really like that.
I drew the dead tree, I know eh? I'm just as surprised as you are with how it turned out :)

I traced the cauldron from some clip art.
And used a cup to get the full purple moon ;)
The pages are a bit warped because I think I added to much water.

Onto My Day:
Heather found my cheater glasses, yeah. I was so happy I gave her a hug and did a little dance. Don't worry she is used to this, lol.
I have been using Wayne's the last few days and I think they have been giving me a headache as his are to strong. Well its either that or lack of Coca-cola ;)
Worked on Claudia's mini album. It is coming out better then I had imagined. Don't you just LOVE when that happens :)

Thankful Thursday
My glasses were found.
I didn't make supper tonight....take out....I know bad.
Got a message from Hubby's aunt. Haven't chatted with her for awhile as she moved away.
Warm slippers
Watching movies as I create, Today was Alice
My BIL felt fine after his treatment, hope they all go that smoothly.

What are you Thankful for today?

Tracy :)

  2. Oh I just love this layout. I guess I'm just a goth girl at heart. I love black, dye my hair black and love Halloween and horror movies. I will categorize myself as princess goth. Not to be confused with goth princess because I picture that more of over the top goth girl where as princess goth is more frilly and girly and sweet yet dark and creepy all at the same time. Yes, yes I know I'm weird LOL!

  16. Love your project! Great job with your drawing/painting/coloring. Wish I had that talent. :-) Hope your BIL continues to do well with his treatments. Glad you found your glasses. You could be like a friend of ours. He's always forgetting his cheaters when they eat out. He'll borrow his wife's rhinestone cheaters when he's ordering. Hilarious!
