He-Art Journal week #15 and a Thankful Thursday

Week 15 for the He-Art Journal Challenge.
I had a bit of a challenge with this one.
I usually don't look what the other ladies do until after I am done with mine.
I don't want what they did, influence me.
But I had to take a peek at a few of them. But it didn't help me. The ones I saw used washi tape, I don't have.
Here is the Challenge for this week.

WEEK 15 - Stickin' to it
Assignment: Create a spread or a page using a little or a lot of sticky!!! Stickers, washi tape, thickers...pile it on! Use any stamps you want, colors, etc. Not necessary to use any TGF stamps, this is YOUR journal, do what you want cuz you rule that journal!

So what I did for my Sticky part was use dryer tape.
I have done this before. What I did was use foil tape (for joining pipes) stuck it to some card stock, ran it through an embossing folder and then coloured it with alcohol ink. I also used a sharpie marker (red) to colour on a few hearts.

I coloured the Alice image with my Copic markers and paper pieced the tea cup.

I wanted to make it look like Alice was falling down the rabbit hole.
So how did I do?
Not my best one, but I am happy with it, kind of.

Onto My Day:
Worked, yup all day.
I did go for a brisk morning walk with Lynne this morning. It was -5C and nippy.
But first Kristy and I went to McDonald's for breakfast. Kristy was all excited to go last night, her idea. But she wanted to leave so early, she would have been to early for school. So I held off, plus I didn't want to go into a cold vehicle :(
She was a bit early for school as it was.

Thankful Thursday
Walking with a friend who encouraged me to walk today.
Breakfast with my baby.
All you wonderful blog friends who leave me comments, you put a smile on my face, every single day. For that I am very Thankful :)

Hope you all had a creative Thursday :)
Watching the new episode of Bones now, see you all tomorrow.

  1. Aren't you a smart cookie using the foil tape and embossing it. It looks amazing. I like how Alice is falling down the rabbit hole.
My work schedule is all mixed up this month, so I am working tomorrow.
    Enjoy watching bones.

  4. Much better idea than washi tape. Now I want to go out and buy some dryer tape too. The way you used it it looks like an ornate frame on a mirror which also eludes to Alice in the Looking Glass as well as making her look like she is falling down the rabbit hole. Didn't I just sound totally geeky right there LOL?!
