1st Birthday card

I shared this card on my YouTube channel, but not on here yet.
It is a card I made for my great nephew's 1st birthday :)
I saw this card sketch at one of the scrapbook stores on our trip.
I used this same banner die on his baby card, so thought it was fitting to use it on his 1st birthday card.

I even used some of my new papers from my 6x6 paper pads ;)
See I use my new stuff......or at least I am trying to.

I took this photo before I added the number "1" on the banner.

Onto My Day:
We went to celebrate our great-nephew's 1st birthday.
I love getting together with family :)
It was an afternoon party. They had so much food out.
I was still full at dinner, so didn't eat supper.
Here is his cute cake. It is a cupcake cake.

I spent the rest of the day on the computer and working on my mini album.
Funny (or sad) thing is, it took me forever to do just one element in the mini.
One thing!!!!!
It is NOT going to be completed by Monday.

Hope you all had a creative Saturday :)

Tracy :)

  5. Very cute card! I like the patterned paper you used. How's the rash coming along? It takes me forever to do things too, as you well know LOL. I have a great idea then as I'm working I get another great idea that changes the whole thing and then I usually get stuck as some point with no idea what to do next. I'm sure you'll do a great job and probably get it done faster than you think. I'll cross my fingers for you just in case!

  6. Love the card! I have been working on cards all day! I have 7 of them to make! Yikes! 3 down and 4 to go have to postmarked no later than Monday. I am in a card swap at shabby scrappers and I am never this last minute! I am not going to do any more swaps for awhile because of my health issue... I hate last minute... I will be doing a vid of them sometime next week.. Watch for it... I hope the cream works for you and clears it up..
    Hugs!

    1. No, we didn't get to Canadian Tire. I decided we should get back on the road, as it was snowing like crazy and I didn't want to get caught in some messy weather. Hopefully next time.

  10. That card is so cute! I love the idea of using one section of the banner! Adorable cake too :) Your party sounds like our family parties, food wise. There's always so much food. I think we're always worried there won't be enough so we tend to over do it. I'm sure Heather's album will be worth the wait :)

  11. Super cute card! Love the cupcake cake :0) I remember when Dallas, now 14, loved Thomas the Tank Engine. I still have them all in a big rubbermaid box for future grandkids :0) Hugs!

  12. How cute! Love the card, the cake and I'm sure I would love your sweet nephew too! :-) On my way to attending a birthday party for my nephew, too. Except he's 6 foot 5 inches (literally!) and 25 years old. Man how times flies!

  18. CUTE stuff! I love how you did the card and the way you finished it on the inside!

I've been having the same issue with one element taking me forever with the mini I've been working on.

We had a cupcake "cake" for Brooke once with princesses. Of course, way too much frosting for my tastes, but she loved it!
