Brave and a winner

I took a (work) break last night and went the movies with my daughter Heather.
We both love cartoons, so it is usually just her and I that end up going.
The cartoons today just amaze me.
Not only are the stories so captivating, but the artwork is just amazing.
I get so lost in the reality of it all that I forget that it is a cartoon.
But every once in awhile I realize once again that someone drew this and brought it to life.
I think a movie full of kids was more enjoyable then going to one with all adults. There was no talking, no cell phones and we all were there to see the movie.

Onto My Day:
I worked, yup all day.
I didn't think that I would get that Gorjuss girl image I stamped on a card this week, but I was hoping.
Kristy had her 1st day of work today.
She said the training consisted of watching videos and taking a test about them.

My niece came by to drop off something she would like me to make for the table that her cake is going to be on.
I am so happy to be even a little bit a part of her wedding.
She is such a sweet girl (always has been). I am so happy for her.

Oh yes and we have a winner from the Canadian Card making blog hop.
The winner is....Romaine, congrats :)
So happy one of my girls won ;)

Hope you all had a creative Thursday :)

Tracy :)

  1. Didn't you love the movie- I wanted my girls to be like that- strong and brave and independent. And in the end think the world of their mum.

  2. My whole family wants to see that! What did you think?
So excited that I won! Did you know that Williams Lake is only 5 hours from me? I love that there is an online shop so close!

Question: I have only 2 TH distress inks and I. Ow you have a passion for them. I use them on the edge of paper; do you also ink up stamps on them and stamp with them? What makes them different?

  6. Yeap, cartoon is awesome. The animation, the voice and colors are all hard work, but the finish product is just amazing.

  7. I'm with ya on the loving cartoons...it amazes me how they bring it all to life and the big screen.

You asked about my card, the butterfly stamp and if it was stamped on corkboard. It wasn't, but it totally looks like it...go figure. I guess I didn't get the coverage as good as I should have and that's what I ended up with. I kinda liked it so left it.

HOpe you have a great Friday and an even better weekend!

  8. I love the cartoons, too!
And it really is amazing what goes into making them!
Definitely different from the days of early morning saturday cartoons, but I loved those, too :)
So did you like Brave? I want to take my two to see it.

  9. Awh, we just got home from this movie... So cute! The first day on a new job is always boring, isn't it? It's got to be even more so for Kristy though because she's already kind of been working there. Can't wait to see what you're whipping up for your niece's wedding, will you be able to share with us? Congrats to Romaine!

  10. I really want to see this movie! Maybe when I'm home I can convince my mom to go with me.

Watching videos and taking a test does not sound like a fun day of work, but hopefully she will get to do something interesting soon!

I hope you get to share what you are making for your niece's wedding!

  11. Hi Tracy! Gee, I've been wanting to see this movie, but I'm just waiting till it comes around to the local "cheapie" theater. Can't wait to see what you're making for the wedding. My own daughter is getting married next month, and I'm making mini albums for all the bridesmaids... AND I'm making the happy couple an afghan. Busy, busy, busy! Hope you're enjoying your weekend! ~tina
