A friend to love

Today is Design Team project share with Redonkulous Designs :)
Today I used this oh so cute image called "Baby Girl Hugs". Isn't she adorable.
I wanted to try something a bit different so I coloured her up with my Stampin' Up markers.
Actually I wanted to colour her up with some water colouring, but if you read my post from the other day, then you would already know that was an epic fail.
But I did get to use my water colour markers, so I guess that was close enough ;)

As you can see you don't get the uber smooth blending like you do with Copics, but I still like the results. I love the sharp contrast in colours.

I thought I would share my marker colours I had used on this image.
Flesh=blush blossom, blushing bride
Hair=more mustard, so saffron.
Dress=marina mist, bashful blue
Bow=rose red, regal rose
Turtle Body=pear pizzazz, certainly celery
Turtle eyes=old olive, river rock
Turtle shell=garden green, pear pizzazz
Shoes=crumb cake, river rock

Here is the inside of the card.
I always use left over papers from making the card, to use on the inside of the card.
But in this instance everything is left over as I made this card with papers from my stash. Also they were on my table left over from Kristy's album she made.

Onto My Day:
Can you believe I am actually posting this in the morning. Yup ;)
When I take Kristy to work at 7:00am, I have been staying up. Man, I can get more in my day this way. But I have to tell you I am still not a morning person ;)

Hope you all have a creative Wednesday :)
And check out the other girls on the DT to see what they have created for you today :)

  10. This is so so cute!

    I love getting my day started earlier in the morning, because I get so much done. But I am not a morning person, so that's no fun!

  13. Beautiful job coloring as always! Even with the water based markers you still do an awesome job! Do you know I'm only missing one marker in my copic collection ONE. It wasn't available from where I ordered my last ones from. I feel so incomplete. Oh I also wanted to tell you about this facebook group that I joined it's Digi's Galore. The girls (and boys) use a lot of redonkulous designs images and a bunch of others I never know about but was sure excited to find! And then I found out the sad news that tickled pink is closing down :( I loved her images. That image is so cute. If she drew an image with a girl doing that with a dog and the dogs eyes bulging out, that would look an awful lot like my daughter and her daily torment of the pooches lol.

  14. Super cute and creative as usual Tracy! I love the colours you used. Well I have to say, I have always been a morning person, but most recently I've had no choice but to be a 3 or 4 in the morning person these days - LOL!

    LOVE Dena's comment! This is such a fabulous idea! This may be on the top of my list to do! I can totally see the image in my head! HA!
