Swingin' with my Kitty

We are home safe and sound, so I could share with you another card :)
I did this one at my girls creative get away....yup I still have some to share from that week ;)
This is another simple card.

I received this paper from a friend in the UK.
I used the background paper as my starting point.
I wanted to work off this pretty tree.

After I stamped and coloured this adorable Gorjuss girl image, I backed it with some coordinating paper and adhered it on the pattern paper.
I then drew the branches, I extended them onto the white paper to blend in with the background paper.
I love this little girl, she reminds me of my daughter Heather, who just loves cats.

A close up of the sentiment as it is very faint in the photo.

And lastly the inside of the card.
Left over paper scraps from the card front and my index/recipe card.
I thought I had read somewhere that they make recipe/index cards with a grid pattern on them.
I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find them here. We are heading over the border into the good ol' US and am going to see if I can find them there. So if anyone knows of where I maybe able to find them, could you let me know?

Onto My Day:
We cleaned up camp and headed home this morning.
I am not quite done with my camp journal, but I did bring everything home to (hopefully) finish it up.
And believe me I had a lot of stuff to bring home, lol.  Bag lady at her finest ;)

When we got home I was so happy to see my girls. I missed them.
Sure I talked to them on the phone and they would text us, but its still not the same.
I am going to be a wreck if they move away.

Hubby and I have been watching Breaking Bad.
We were shocked when they mentioned our city in one episode. How odd to hear our little city on a television show....it made us like this show even more, lol.

I hope you all had a creative Monday :)

Tracy :)

  5. Tracy, you always have the cutest images on your cards, and the coloring is awesome!

I feel the same way about my daughter moving away. We do so much together that it would crush me not to see her everyday.

  9. This is a sweet card. I love how you've done the sentiment about the tree...kind of looks like a cloud. And love the bold pink dress you gave that cutie.
