Grow where your potted :)

This is the last card to share that I had made on my girls getaway.
I sure dragged them out didn't I, teehee.
I used this image from the gorjuss girls line....isn't she adorable :)
My friend Phillane gave this stamp to me, thanks Pea :)
I think this is one of my favourite cards.

I used my Copics to colour her up.
I paper pieced her dress. As you can see, I also shade the paper piecing I do. It gives the image a bit more dimension.
I also drew in the grass., and added some clouds in the background with some distress ink.

The inside of this card.
As always I used left over papers and a recipe/index card.
I edged the papers with black distress ink.

Onto My Day:
I can't believe that October is already here.
So with a new month also comes month end. I was working all day today.

Tonight (while I was working) Wayne and I have been watching Dexter. I really like this show. When I first heard about it, I had no desire to watch it. But after watching a few shows, we are hooked on it.
It is so not what I thought it was.
We are also excited that Bones and Castle have started up again. We just hope that Bones is better then last year, and it doesn't focus so much on baby stuff. Actually Heather stopped watching Bones last season because of that.

Hope you all had a creative Monday :)

Tracy :)

  3. I think that is one of my fav cards of yours, too. Love the way all the colors work together and you can definitely see the dimension in her dress. I just wonder, where is her mouth? It's on the wooden leg, I know, I know....

  4. Love this card-that image is so cute and your coloring looks perfect on it! I'll have to remember that paper piecing tip to shade the edges. Great idea.

  7. Ah, love that image. This is a sweet card. Love the browns and that you can pull out such a unique color combo for the card based on how you color the image. Love it! I just started watching Bones on Netflix. There are so many shows that I never watched when they were on the air but it's fun to catch up. Dexter on the other hand...I don't think I need those images in my head so I just avoid it. :)

  11. This is a great card. I love how you shaded the paper piecing to make it pop.

I hope Bones gets better. I hate when a show changes the focus like that, it would probably make me stop watching too!

  15. She is beautiful :) I still need to figure out how to paper piece. I started coloring my new stamp last night. We'll see how I do with it. Ha! We watched Dexter for awhile and then got out of it. Need to pick that back up again, it's a good show. We're going to try that new show this year, Elementary. We'll see...
