Santa Cutie

You have probably seen my cute Santa peeking above some of my projects from the last few days. I had made him quite a few years ago, but still love this guy.

I think I had made about 10 of these one year as Christmas gifts.
Every one of them had a different outfit.

He is totally stuffed with soft stuffing and has a bean bag like bum for weight to help him sit up.

One of my goals for 2013 is to do more sewing.
I do love to do all types of crafts, but for the last few years I focused more on the paper crafts.
I keep meaning to do more sewing, but for some reason, I grab my Copics and some paper instead.

Onto My Day:
Kristy had to go to work this morning, so I drove her for 7:00 am. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't -20C out there.
Came home and slipped back into bed. I had a bad sleep last night, which is very rare for me.
Caught up on some book work and then Wayne and I went to pick up a few groceries and some goodies for New Years Eve.
Watched the remake of Total Recall. As good as the graphics were and as gorgeous as the characters looked, I still liked the 1st one better. The original seemed to have a better story line to me.

I hope you all had a creative Thursday :)

Tracy :)

  2. He is such a fabulous Santa! I did get in the craft room yesterday for the first time since before Christmas, however I can't post the card I made just yet as its for a DT commitment. I am hoping to get in there again today, so will see how it goes. Have a great weekend, we had another pile of snow yesterday, around 25cm so the kids are off to the sled hills today - guess where I will be;-)

  3. Your hand made Santa is just darling! I can't wait to see what you sew up on 2013. I know it will be just as fabulous as your paper projects (which just blow my mind!)

  4. He's adorable! The only thing my sewing machine has ever seen is paper. No fabric. LOL!

  5. He is just so sweet and adorable! At least you can sew...I don't think I could ever thread a needle. And dang girl, that is some cold cold weather. I think my bones would be breaking cuz they'd freeze. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and may the New Year bring you happiness and prosperity.

  6. That Santa is adorable! I can only do very basic sewing, fixing a hem or a button, things like that. I have a sewing machine, but I've only used it to sew on layouts!

I hope you were able to get a nice rest after you dropped Kristy off! I hate not getting a good night's sleep!

  7. That is a great goal for 2013. I would say I'm all for it too, but I am the same way. When I think I could work on something else, I always end up with photos in my hand and scrapbook instead. :) Love your cute Santa!

  8. Your Santa IS a cutie Tracy :) -20c, good grief, remind me to come visit in the summer! Haha! It's not quite that cold here, we're down into the teens at night and right around freezing during the day, it was warm enough to wash the crap off my car today :) The girls and I just got back from the store and bought our New Year's Eve goodies too! I'm feeling a bit unsettled as we head into 2013 and I can't quite put my finger on it... Need to shake it off :) No creating for me yesterday. I sat on my arse and read all day. Lol!

  9. Cute santa! I used to make projects like that. I haven't seen that remake but a lot of times, the original, even with the cheesy special effects, is better.
