Scrap cards and a video

If you are a follower of my blog, then you have probably seen these already.
They are my scrap cards...greeting cards that I have made out of my scrap papers.
You know you all have scraps.....lots of them, what better way to use them up then to make cards with them :)

My goal this year was to use up my scraps.
What I don't use up I am going to toss.
Yup, that is hard for me, but I hate feeling so guilty cutting up a brand new sheet of paper, knowing I have so many scraps that I should use up first.
Mind you some of my scraps are 10-15 yrs old (yikes) and butt ugly. So I shouldn't feel bad about tossing them. Plus because I have used a lot this year, the pieces really aren't big enough to donate.

Here is a video I did about my cards and how I store my scrap papers.

  Onto My Day:
Lost Internet most of the day as it has been raining here.
Raining...in the middle of December is unheard of here. Some of our snow has melted because of it and we even have a puddle across the street..crazy I say.
Kristy wasn't happy this morning as she had to start work at 5:00 am this morning. They have her making bread..which she isn't really excited about. Not only about waking up so early but also she would rather decorate the cakes and make the treats.
So after work Kristy and Ashley did some Christmas baking :)   It was tasty :)

I hope you all have had a creative Saturday :)

  1. Awesome use of those scraps Tracy....Great minds thinks alike, that's what I normally do too, and don't forget even if they are smaller pieces you can always make smaller note card sets too.
    TFS~

  7. I love your card sets, and I really liked seeing how you store your scraps. I used to have something like that. Now I one of those clear drawer things, in 12x12. I have them sorted as "red, yellow, orange, pink" "blue, green, purple" and "black, white and brown". I wish I had more drawers though!

Getting up at 5am is no fun! I think I'd prefer decorating cakes too. Although I definitely prefer eating bread :)
