Thankful Freezing Thursday

I can't believe this.
Hubby came home for lunch and asked me if I had seen the back door.
Well of course I hadn't, its been so cold out that I have stayed inside of the house since Monday.
Well because of this cold snap we have had, it has actually peeled the paint off of our back door.
I have never heard of this happening.
But I do know what my first home project will be in the Spring ;)

Onto My Day:
I have been a bit pathetic the last few days as I have done nothing.
I have a few projects I want to get done by the end of the month, but I just don't have the oomph to get to them.
Lets hope I have more oomph tomorrow.

 Thankful Thursday
That I am able to just veg if I want to.
My hubby coming home for lunch.
My daughter coming home for lunch each day.
Heather working today.

I hope you all had a creative Thursday :)

I want to wish my daughter Kristy good luck with her exam tomorrow....mind you she doesn't need luck, she has smarts ;)

Tracy :)

  3. Oh My - best I check our front door, I never use it as we always come in through the garage! Anyways, its meant to be warm today going to be a lovely -25c - Emily will have her first outdoor recess all week. Kids, you know you are Canadian when, your daughter comes out of school, no gloves on, no snow pants on, no hood up, -37c windchill and says "I'm fine Mom" !!!!!! LOL! Have a great day.

  5. That door is crazy! I've never seen anything like that before, from the cold!! I'm sure the drain why you've gotten nothing done is because we haven't chatted or texted. Lol!!!!!! I had such good intentions of crafting last night and I made the mistake of coming home and sitting down. It was all over after that. Nothing got done except dinner.

  6. That stinks about the paint on the door. At least yours had paint on it. We have 2 doors that we never painted and it's been at least 7 years since installing them. (insert rolling eyes)

I have been in a blah all this week too. I think I may suffer from that seasonal-itis disorder. LOL! And no, the cold sure isn't helping either. I just stay inside and keep wood burning in the fireplace inserts.

And I hope it warms up for you soon! I don't think I could handle cold like that.
I can barely handle it here in the 20's. I am such a wimp!!!

  12. HOly cow, that is something crazy..I've never seen paint peel due to freezing weather. It's not too cold where I am right now..it's about 47 degrees, overcast with some sprinkles. Up in No. Utah, though...icy rain, over 200 accidents in the past couple days. UGH. No thanks.

Hope you stay warm and veg to your hearts content! :)

  16. Oh Wow! That is so weird, the paint bubbling and peeling like it did. Ah, the joys of home ownership ;-) a surprise when you least expect one. Boy do you get some cold weather!
