Beautiful scenery and some Goodies ;)

Here is some gorgeous views of the beautiful Lake Superior.
How nice to look out from our room windows and see this....stunning.

I see I have to clean the lens of my camera, lol.
Guess Wayne didn't get all the cake off of it from a cake photo I took...I tried to get a close up of it and opps stuck it into the cake, lol.
I am obsessed with the ice on the rocks. I have so many photos of them...I love how they look.

Wayne I went to My Sister's Place for lunch today(it was featured on Andrew Zimmern's, Bizarre Foods.)
We drive by it every time we go to the States, but have yet to stop there...well today we did.
It was delish...outstanding.
I had the cream of wild rice and chicken soup. I have to try and make this..LOVED it
I also had a bacon/cheese burger...ya I plan on gaining weight this week, lol.

Thought I would share with you my order I picked up when we crossed the border.
Tim Holtz distress markers....I have been debating on getting these since the day they came out.

I did try them out, as when I was checking out 2peas today, many of the ladies on there had said that they had some dry out on them...before they even used them.
So I tried each marker, both ends and there were 3 that weren't very juicy...almost dried out.

I contacted Rusty at Oozak...whom I think is the best at customer service. He got back to me right away.
He had said " I’m not sure why they are like that. It’s almost like the pigment used for those colors somehow clogs the tip a little, and once the ‘juices’ start flowing again, they work fine."
He also told me that if they don't work after that, they will be replaced.
Lets hope that is the problem and I don't need to replace them.

Onto My Day:
Slept in and had a great sleep.
We went to Grand Marais for lunch, then checked out what was open. Because this little town is geared towards the summer visitors, not much was open...but I knew that was going to be the case.
Then we came back to the room and started a fire and just chillaxed. Ohhh I am loving this ;)
For supper we went to Bluefin Grille. I wasn't that hungry as I had such a big lunch, so I just had the artichoke dip with bread, even that I didn't eat half of it.
But I am sure I have blew my weight loss and good eating habits for the week. But I will get right back on track when I get back home.

I hope you all had a creative Monday :)
I did....I coloured blocks of colour with my new markers, teehee.

Tracy :)

  10. That view is awesome. Hope the pens work out. I know with my Spectrum Noir they said if they aren't used regularly they will dry and/or clog even if stored on their side.

  15. Hey Tracy!
I bought my markers a few months ago and I LOVE them! Storing tip per Tim: store them sideways this way it wil let the ink flow freely and not just to one end of the nib{ I hope that makes sense} well enjoy them there are several vids on you tube
    As well on different techniques!
