I'm Toxic ;)

Bet you were thinking I was Britany Spears for a second eh? Teehee.
Nope...
I had to go for my MUGA scan today.
I have heart disease..it runs in my family.
My grandfather passed away from a massive heart attack at the age of 34.
Both my parents had heart attacks at the age of 50.
My older brother had a heart attack at age 42
I found out I had heart disease when I was in my 30's.

Thankfully I was diagnosed with it on a routine visit and have been well taken care of by my doctors.
So almost every year I go for a Muga scan.
I need to get two injections.
One of them has radioactive material.
If I cross the border into the U.S (in the next 2 days), I have to get a note from the hospital to explain this procedure as I could set alarms off. Thankfully that has never happened, teehee.
But it would have made for a funny blog post ;)

After I get my second injection I have to go in this machine to get a moving picture of my heart.
This takes a little over a half hour.
The top part of the machine comes down..almost touching my nose.
Funny as when I had this done last year, I nodded off, lol.
I twitched and thought I ruined the test...but nope they said it was fine :)

This is what I woke up to today.
Isn't it beautiful.
As much as I am looking so forward to Spring, how can I not enjoy this scene.

Onto My Day:
Kristy and I did some running around.
While we were out my engine light came on in my jeep.
I just re-started it and it was good.
When I came home I noticed some antifreeze in the driveway...but where Ashley parks.
Then I get a text from her that her engine light is on...what the heck.
Later I moved the jeep for Wayne to plow the driveway and noticed some antifreeze where I park my jeep.
I have no idea what is going on.... weird though.

When Ashley came home for lunch, she had pointed out the driveway needs to be shoveled as she had a bit of trouble leaving the driveway.
I just said, we have a snowblower and a plow on the truck...there is no way I am shoveling the driveway.
So we just waited for Wayne to come home to plow it ;)

Hope you all had a creative Monday :)
I have something creative to share with you tomorrow...a little love on the way ;)

Tracy :)

  4. Hope all comes out well with your tests! Onto your vehicles and the antifreeze leak... Could you have a critter out there who is chewing on a line under your car? Antifreeze is sweet so I'm told and might be appealing to a dog or some other 4 legged friend. Good luck on this. You sure can't live there without antifreeze!

  7. That looks like the machine that is used when I have my radioactive iodine scans for my thyroid. I had a large radioactive dose a couple of years ago and was flying within the US in a couple of months and they gave me a note just in case. Fortunately there was no problem. Glad they are onto your diagnosis and pray all will be well for you.

  8. Those machines look so scary, but I know they keep you healthy and safe, which is good :) I'm ready for spring too, but I do like the wintry picture. I hope everything is okay with the cars. I would have waited for Mike to come home to shovel too. Lol! Can't wait to see your post tomorrow!

  14. I should send you a radioactive sign we have from our days in the military. LOL the girls could put it on ya when you are leaving the hospital and cause a nation wide panic. LMAO Nah but I bet people would leave ya alone. LOL
Pretty scenery. would be better without the cold. Then again no cold no snow. so everything has it's ups and down.

  15. I'm glad you're managing your health. It's never too early. A friend of mine was shocked to learn about her heart troubles at around age 35 and now she has an artificial valve. Scary stuff.
