Re-doing a Layout...I never would have thought ;)

Guess what I did tonight on Scrapbooking Friday.
I Scrapbooked.
Like actual scrapbook pages. Not cards, or a mini album or organizing, but actual scrapbook pages :)
Its been a while, like almost a year.

Okay let me clarify this a bit more.
I really re-did a page.
I had done this page years ago (from 2008) and was never really happy with it. But because I had (and still do) so many other photos and events I wanted to scrapbook, I just left it as is.
Well the other night, I looked at all my old scrapbooking pages and I just cringed at this one.
I really wanted to change it.

So I did :)
I didn't do anything different with the photos.
I even kept them with the same black mats I had.

I guess I should tell you about the event of these pages.
This is my middle daughter Heather when she was in high school during a concert.
She was in band and really enjoyed it.
I love the 8x8 paper I have used with the converse on it. Heather has always and still loves and wears her converse :)

I love that little wooden owl :)
Heather also likes owls. I really like that these pages are more to her style then the one I did in 2008 :)
I am really happy with how they turned out.

I was on Katie's blog yesterday and she had this question about changing an already completed layout.
As I commented on her blog, I had never thought I would ever re-do a layout, as looking at the finished layout gives me memories of who I was with when I made that particular layout.
So I get double memories ;)
But then again..never say never ;)

Oh ya and the thing I thought I had to do today...I think it was to go out with Ashley for lunch, but we did that yesterday instead.
At least I think that is what is was..no one phoned me to tell me I forgot something anyway ;)

I hope you all had a creative Friday :)

Tracy :)

  1. It is a great redo! The colors really do seem more suited to the photos. And that paper is perfect :) I have always said I will never redo pages. Once they are done, they are done. I just have too many that need a redo. Buuuut, did make a copy of a photo in Evan's baby album of our first photo as a family. I then made another page using it. One with less sticker sneeze :)

  2. I don't think I have ever redone a page. I just do not go there! But you did a great job with yours! I plan to have a day to myself after the last couple of weeks and get in my scrap space! Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. Never redone a page, but there are one or two in may albums that I have never been happy with...hmmmm.....may just have to do a redo! Thanks for the idea.

  6. I love the redo, but I like the colors of the original. I've only redone a couple of layouts in my scrapbooking life, and they really needed it! LOL!

  7. Thanks for the shout out :)

I really love both of your pages! But if the second one is more Heather-y, then that makes it even more awesome!

  8. I like the originals too, but that really is a great revision. It can be fun to have a second chance at showcasing photos, can't it. But like you, there are always so many unscrapped photos that it's not feasible for me to take the time to redo many. Besides I actually enjoy seeing how my scrap style has changed over the years.
