Book Lover

I finished another book this weekend :)
I didn't realize how much I missed reading until I started again.
I have always been an avid reader.
As a child it was a way for me to escape my life for awhile and live in the stories.
I was Harriet the spy, peeking into peoples windows, or I was relating to characters in Judy Blumes novels. Realizing some families are more whacked then mine in VC Andrews books, or just scaring the crap out of myself in Stephen Kings books.
I read everything. Like my movies and my crafts I love it all.

Heather suggested this book to me. She said she really enjoyed it and thought I would as well.
She was right.
I enjoyed getting lost in the mystical world of different lands and the special powers some of the characters had.
Plus I love a good strong heroien in books. No weak women for me please ;)

I am glad my girls enjoy reading and that we enjoy the same types of books.
Except they don't read my books...guess they don't like the scary ones ;)
Here is my treat as I was reading.
Wondering what it is?
It is my specialty.....chips and marshmallows ;)
Sweet and salty, perfect combination :)

I hope you all had a creative Sunday :)

Tracy :)

  1. To escape into a book is such a pleasure!
I used to be an avid reader...when i was a kid I took speed reading and so devoured books...a paperback in an evening...
Then we hit that blasted deer and I got my last concussion. I already had a few previous concussions from some bad falls so I did not bounce back this time.
I lost a huge chunk of my short term memory...can't balance the characters in my head if i put the book down, and can't read it all at once anymore as it makes my head explode:(

So now DH is our active reader and I blog...and I am at peace with that now!

  2. I like to read too - but dont as often as I would like to. I think your marshamllow and chips treat is "interesting", having said that - one of my favourite sandwich combos is Cheese and Raspberry Jam (or Raspberry Jelly for you guys). Thanks for stopping by my blog today as well. Glad that you liked the fuse - that was my favourite part too.

  6. Glad you found some time for reading. I love to read when I make the time. Little Harlee is already reading at a second grade level coming out of kindergarten. Simply amazing to me. I will pass on your chips and marshmallow.
