Making Jam with Gram ;)

My step mom is an excellent cook.
She can whip up a meal out of nothing.
She is also great at baking too.
Kristy just loves her strawberry jam. Kristy asks her grandma for it for Christmas every year :)
Since they are still in town (as my dad smashed his back window of his truck. which he was not happy about) they came by to spend the day with us.
Kristy and Grandma made strawberry jam most of the day.

They ran out of jars they made so much, lol.
Funny thing is, I donated most of my jars last year.
I had a few boxes and thought I was done with making jelly, so off they went in the donation bin.
Isn't that how it goes. Just when you get rid of something you need it ;)
Luckily I saved one box of jars.

Doreen (my step mom) also made us a wonderful meal for dinner.
Brisket with mashed potatoes, veggies and gravy...with a nice strawberry desert ;)
Sadly Wayne had to work late, so Kristy warmed his meal up for him. But he wasn't complaining :)

I hope you all had a creative Wednesday :)
This week is flying by.

Tracy :)

  4. A great family day - my Grandmother used to make the most awesome black currant jam, just a little tart, not too sweet :-) Your last few posts have really made me look back at some good memories of mine :-) TFS

  8. This looks fabulous! I've always wanted to make jam, but have just never done it! No one in my family does it, so I never learned. I'm pretty sure the internet can teach me though!

I'm sorry about your dad's windshield. I hope he can get it all fixed okay!
