My Current Day

Guess what I did today.....absolutely nothing.
But I had plans... Ooooh I had plans.
Detail clean the house, tidy up the craft room, redo the front flower bed, start my weight loss journal, start on a Home Journal for Ashley.
Well guess what I did...I sat on the computer most of the day, and most of that was on facebook sites.
Man it feels like I wasted a wonderful day.

Good thing I am joining this planner challenge so I have at least something to share...and hey its creative ;)

Day #4 is "Current Day"
Today the kids start the new year of school.
Sadly, no little ones attending school for me anymore :(
Because it is the first week of school, I decorated my week in my planner with a school theme.
I like how these pages turned out :)

Onto My Day:
Besides sitting at the computer most of the day, I did make supper...nope, I didn't, Heather did that.
I made banana bread...nope, Kristy did that.
I did go through all our mailings and bills.
I also cleaned the filter in the range hood.
I started a list for things that should go into a Home Journal.
I also started a list of things that need to get done if either or both Wayne and I pass away suddenly.
When my girls saw me doing this, they were like "What the heck are you doing!!"
I laughed and told them it is best to be prepared. They were not impressed ;)
I have been meaning to do this after my dad passed away. I know it would have helped me out.

With that I will wish you all a creative and healthy Wednesday :)

  1. It was just a good day to vegetate and do minimal stuff. One needs a day like this every once in a while.

  2. Sounds like a not bad day at all!!! lol

I like the forward planning idea...it would sure help the girls even though to them it probably seems morbid now.
Forward planning like that ensures to take some of the burden off them later.

  4. I think I would like to try my hand at a day planner, I need a safe place to keep it or it will get lost in the clutter of my desk. It would be a great way to use the stickers I have. Your day does sound like some of mine here at the cottage and I enjoy every moment,

  5. I love that you did a school page!! I'm sure you had the best intentions of getting things done, right. I do the same. I think I may let the computer be my reward for accomplishing all my tasks from now on. The damn thing just sucks me in!

  6. Our FB group is so addicting - good thing I don't have access at work of I would get fired for not doing my job!!!!!

  7. The little alphabet sticker/tape(?) is super cute! At least you get in a blog post everyday - even if it's about what you DIDN'T get accomplished! : As you can tell, my blog hasn't seen anything new from me in months.

  9. Sounds like you had heavier things on your mind than flower beds. Sometimes I find I need a day to put my head in order to look at lists like that one.
    Onward to a new day.

    Love the planner!

  10. I too had all good intentions today, of getting in my craft room - but a friend called by for a cup of tea and a chat - 3 hrs later. Then I had to run some errands and now it's nearly time to get the girls from school. Oh well, theres always tomorrow :-)
