My Travel Bag

When you travel or go on a trip do you take along some of your creative supplies?
I do.
I don't think I can go anywhere without something creative…even if it is just a note pad and a pen to jot down some ideas and list.
But honestly, I usually bring a lot more than that ;)

Here is one of the totes that I take with me.
I love this tote as it has heavy duty straps and is a very strong and durable material.
It has inside pockets and also pockets on either side, outside of the bag, that close with heavy duty snaps.
I usually keep a pair of small scissors in one of this pockets as well as pens and sometimes inks or stamping blocks

Look how many books I can fit in here :)
I have about 4 magazines, my art planner, my day planner and also my fauxbonichi…as well as some other supplies I fit into the empty spaces.

So here is everything I have fit in my Travel Bag.
I even have a tube of washi tape, stamps and my chocolate mints ;)
Honestly I think this bag is heavier than my luggage, teehee.

I couldn't fit my mini inks or my pen/marker sets in this tote…these had to go in my luggage.
Who needs that many clothes anyway ;)
It really bothers me that I didn't notice my pen container was upside down in this photo :(

Do you travel with your crafty supplies?
If so, what are your must haves?

I hope you all had a very Creative Tuesday :)

  1. That looks like a great set-up for taking some crafting goods with you, Tracy! I don't bring any supplies with me, but pen, paper, and my camera are always in my bag. :)

  2. That bag does hold a lot!! I usually take something. I always take my planner, but depending on where we're going depends on what I take. If we're flying... No scissors. Lol, but I can take other items.

  3. I have a travel bag that I use to carry my Nook and books and other things. You've inspired me to put together a mini craft kit for it.

  4. If I'm going for the day it's my knitting bag which has scissors, bodkin, pen, paper and extra yarn. When it's summer and we travel to the cottage it starts out with a few items and grows. I have one bag I take back and forth in case I need to craft at home, it has the basic kit and memento ink.

  5. 2 years ago I didn't took any of my craft supplies with me on our yearly big holiday and I had a hard time relaxing. I have learned my lesson and from now on I always take 'some' supplies with me. When we go away for longer than an weekend I make myself a travel junk journal and I enjoy that very much. When I read your fauxbonichi posts I start to think I should try something like this myself, but I'm not sure I can sustain (is this the correct word??? :/ ) this...

  6. I don't take supplies with me when I travel. I try to have projects done ahead of time. One year on a family RV trip, I packed all kinds of crafty supplies in the RV and never touched them, so now I just have my camera (and lots of books to read :) Have a great day :)

  8. Unless I am going to a crop, I usually don't bring craft supplies. But I do bring a journal and pen to keep track of what we do. It really helps with my journaling when I get back. Especially if it is a while before I get around to doing anything with the photos!

And thank you so much for the card and punches! I got them yesterday. :)

  10. Looks good. I keep my dew drop inks the same way, in a plastic container. But we never go anywhere not even overnight. LOL It's too much of a pain to figure out pet sitting for all my animals. LOL

  11. Love a good sturdy bag, looks like you have a dandy! I don't take crafty supplies with me unless I am going to a crafty event. But I do always have a camera of some sort with me!
