Come Little Children…art journal page

Happy Halloween :)
Hope you get lots of Trick or Treaters tonight.
Here is my treat, as I don't like to trick.

Caroline and I have resumed our monthly Art Journal Challenges.
This months challenge was to do a Halloween theme and/or collage.
If adhering the fence, bat and word strips is collage, then I succeeded in doing both…but I am guessing mine is more just on the Halloween theme :)

Fist thing I did was use some mists and sprayed the yellow/orange colour for the moon. I also added a bit of white on there as well.
Then to do the purple sky.

I was to lazy to pull out my Cricut to cut the perfect sized circle I wanted.
So I ran upstairs and grabbed a saucer…worked great!
It washed off nicely as well.
The only problem is that when I pulled the plate away, I got 2 streaks on the moon…no biggie, I actually like it and couldn't have planned it that if I wanted.
But…as I moved the plate, a drop of ink fell on the moon, that also wasn't planned and I wasn't as happy about it.

I then stamped my images with black ink and then coloured them with black markers, as I wanted them in silhouette.

These Stampin' Up images of the children were not dressed up for Halloween, so I helped them along.
I drew the horns and tail for the devil boy, the crown for the princess and the tiara and wand for the fairy :)

I used this Unity Angiegirl stamp as is and just coloured the witch and cat in with a black marker

Next I added the fence and some grass.
These were both done with border punches.

At first I was going to write these lyrics out by hand….then I came to my senses and used the computer.
These lyrics are from the movie "Hocus Pocus".
I inked them with a bit of distress ink and adhered them on :)

As easy as this page was to do…I did have some technical difficulties….but  I will give you the illusion that everything went perfectly, teehee.
But if you really want to hear how it all really went down, you can check out my video :)

If you would rather watch my video on my YouTube channel, then click on the link :) Tracy's Treasures24

I hope you all have a very Happy Halloween.
I am entering my page in the Emerald Creek Dares: Tricks & Treats challenge.
I am also entering my page into the Simon Says: Anything Goes challenge…I choose Augusts challenge theme, which was to use 3 colours.

Stampin' Up cards

I had a Stampin' Up party last night :)
I had booked it over a month ago, as the demonstrator and I seemed to have conflicting schedules.
She suggested I have a book party…not likely…I wanted to make some cards. I'm all about the creating, not the sales ;)
So that is what we did :)

The first card is really pretty.
The red ornament is a stamp and the gold one is cut with their die using foil paper.
So much detail in this die….but I wouldn't want to mass produce this with all those little pieces that need to be removed.
I took this photo before I used the Stickles on the holy berries.

I am loving this second card.
I really like the woodsy look to this one.
We used an embossing folder for the card base and then stamps for the image.
I actually ordered this stamp set as I like it so much. Each image is a separate stamp.
I see my Warm Wishes banner is a bit crocked…or lets just say it is how it was photographed, lol.

Onto My Day:
I was playing in my art journal today…boy did I have fun…seems like forever since I did anything in there.
I am also planning on doing a organizing challenge in my craft room. So I had to do some homework on that…which I will share once I get a bit more organized before I organize, lol.

I hope you all had a very Creative Day :)

Fauxbonichi Journal..days 11 & 12

More Fauxbonichi journal pages :)
I like to tie in my 2 pages together….it has something to do with me being a double page scrapbooker.
Because it was the new season of the Walking Dead, I thought the drippy goo punch was perfect for this page instead of using washi tape.
But didn't think it was perfect for the second page…mind you Wayne did get his deer…soooooo.

See how detailed that drippy goo punch is :)
And of course how perfect is Daryl Dixon ;)

The 12th was our Thanksgiving, so found some stickers for that.
And blood splatter along the bottom of the pages. Which were left over from my zombie scrapbooking pages.

Onto My Day:
My day consisted of staying awake by tidying up my craft supplies.
I put away all of my purchases and organized an area downstairs for a gift wrapping centre.
I just need to put a peg board wall up and actually organize my wrapping supplies.
Tomorrow I am going to (hopefully) tackle my craft room.

I hope you all had a very Creative Day :)

Fauxbonichi journal days 9 &10

Here are some more pages in my Fauxbonichi journal :)
I will eventually be up to date with my pages on here, lol.
I don't want to bombard my blog posts with all of my pages, so I am going to post 2 pages everyday, until I am caught up, then only post every second day :)

I went with a gold sparkle and deer theme for these days

Isn't this washi tape so fun!!
I love that it has so much sparkle to it.
It is more of a copper colour than a gold, but it goes well even so :)
If you are wondering what FNS stand for it is Friday Night Scrapbooking.
Every Friday Night (during the colder months) I invite my friend over so we can all create together.
I love these nights and look so forward to them :)

Another reason I used the deer theme, is it was opening weekend for deer hunting and my Honey is a hunter.
I received this gold shiny deer cut out in a kit.
I honestly didn't think I would ever use it…surprise :)
That my friends is why I am a hoarder, lol.

Today was a no energy, computer kind of day.
I started to unpack and put away my craft supplies I had purchased on our weekend get away…but didn't get very far.

I hope you all have a very Creative Day today :)

Home Safe.

We made it home safe and sound….now to put away my shopping goodies.
But like the true procrastinator that I am, I will do that tomorrow, lol.
But for good reason…..Sunday night is The Walking Dead night :)

On our way out of Duluth, Wayne wanted to pick up some Dunkin Donuts, as we had never tried them before.
I also grabbed a hot chocolate.
I have to say, I wasn't impressed.
For one thing I had to wait for all of the other breakfast orders to go out before I got my hot chocolate.
I could understand if I ordered something they had to prepare, as first come first served…but the hot chocolate comes out of a machine…simple…..but I had to wait for 5 other people to get their breakfast orders.
And to top it off, the hot chocolate wasn't even good…I only took a few sips and threw it out.
I have to say, it gives me a better appreciation of our Robin's Donuts and Tim Hortons :)

I am off to watch my show as well as last weeks and the week before first, teehee.

I hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

More Shop, shop, shopping

Another full day of shopping…..love shopping, teehee.
We left the hotel at 6:20am…I fell asleep on our drive to Rogers MN.
Our first stop was at Cabela's. I was very sad as they didn't have any chocolate Bear Claws :(
I had finished my last one the other day as I knew we were coming here.
I was planning on stocking up…but no such luck.
Our next stop was Joanns :)
I found a few Tim Holtz products…oh yes and a bit of washi tape ;)

I always look forward to checking out Blick's.
I was looking for some Black Gesso.
I purchased this huge container for .20c more than one of the tiny containers.
I can share this with my friends :)

We then went to Ikea.
I picked up a couple of floor lamps….this was all I was looking for and was happy to find them for $8.95 each.
I will share those when I get home and set them up :)
Guess what I found at Ikea as well….washi tape, teehee.
The wings stamp is from Hobby Lobby when we got back to Duluth.

We also hit up a Tuesday Morning.
This one usually doesn't have much, but I found a few goodies :)
Yes, those are a couple of journals….but I may take the pages out, and use them for notes or for when I write letters.

Found another Hobby Lobby :)
Wayne didn't think I would be long, so he stayed in the jeep…surprise, I found more ;)
I love anything with the months or days on it, so when I saw these Month stickers, and they were under $2.00 for a set of 2 I picked them up….good thing I really checked them out, as there was only 1/2 a month in a pages…so I needed 2 different packages to make up a year…weird eh?

On our way back to Duluth, we always stop at Pine City Scrapbooking.
I love this store!!!
Wayne talked me into getting this dragonfly die/embossing I had my eye on for a while now.
Most everything else (besides the Prima girl stamps and the TH bat stencil) are dies…I have quite a few cards I am planning on making with those deer and tree dies :)

When we got back to Duluth, we were thinking of stopping off at Red Lobster again…but when we saw so many waiting outside, we decided to check out 5 guys instead.
After supper, we went to the mall to pick up a treat for Heather and then to Barnes & Noble.

Funny Story:
When we were leaving Joanns, just before Wayne was about to back up, there was a lady standing waiting for us to go, while Wayne was waiting for her to walk.
She didn't move, so Wayne put the jeep in park, so she would go…she still was waiting….so I waved her to go.
She then walked to my window…so I thought she was parked beside us.
I opened my window and apologized, while laughing saying I didn't realize that she was parked beside up.
Turns out…she didn't park beside us.
She said she was doing a Minnesota Nice and was letting us go first. But then noticed our licence plate and that we were from Canada. Then it made sense to her, as Canadians are known for being so courteous….her words not mine, lol.
We all had a good chuckle…then as she walked away, she apologized for the Jays loss, lol. She said she was rooting for them.

As much as I love to shop, I am looking forward to getting home and creating with my new goodies.
I hope you all had a creative day today :)

Shopping for creative goodies

Wayne and I took a little trip…just him and I :)
We are in Duluth MN.
Our first stop was Barnes & Nobel.
I didn't think I needed anything from there….we were just wasting time until 5 Guys opened up, lol.
Turns out I needed 6 journals, lol.
The top set, is a set of 3 :)

First crafty shopping after an early lunch was Hobby Lobby :)
We don't have a Hobby Lobby near me, so this store is always a treat :)
Usually when I come here, almost everything is on sale..not this time :(
I said I wasn't going to get anymore paper, but the set in the background was pretty cute and very cheap.

Funny story:
Wayne and I were walking past an isle in Hobby Lobby and I here "Tracy!"
It was my friend Myra…funny to see someone you know when we are away….but it happens quite a bit, lol.

I also said I didn't need any more washi tape….but apparently I did, lol.

Wayne wanted to check out Best Buy…I didn't.
So I got him to drop me off at the dollar store.
How much fun is the dollar store….oh yes and I see a few more rolls of washi tape, teehee.

Wayne also wanted to check out Menards.
He always seems amazed that I can find craft supplies in any store we go to, lol.
I seem to be picking up quite a few napkins on this trip.
I have an art journal page for each of these napkins….really, I do ;)

After a delicious dinner at Red Lobster…can you imagine what I ordered….I ran into Walmart, in Superior, to pick up a couple packages of my pastries…Cream horns…yummy.
I think Wayne was wondering what took me so long to pick them up.
I took a wrong turn and ended up in the craft isle……found a few good deals ;)

Lastly we went to Michael's.
I thought these little note books with the cover "So Many Ideas…." was perfect for me :)
Yes, yes, more washi tape ;)
I gave Wayne 2 coupons to use, and I paid at a different till and also used 2 coupons.
Then I asked her if I could have them back as I was headed Minneapolis tomorrow…she was nice enough and gave them back to me :)
I like this Michael's waaayyyy better than the one at home.

Lastly we went to Target to pick up some pop for Wayne and a chocolate milk for me….and to pick something up that Ashley and Kristy asked for.
Look they had new washi tape!!!
I have the grass washi, but use it so much that I decided to get another one :)

We are now back at the hotel….Wayne watching Gold Rush and me fondling….I mean admiring my new goodies ;)

I hope you all have a very Creative day :)
I am heading to bed soon as we have a long drive tomorrow and I need my strength for shopping, teehee.

Fauxbonichi journal pages and a gifted card :)

More pages in my Fauxbonichi journal :)
This one isn't as artsy as some of my others, but I have a sign on my Craft table that says "Not every page needs to be a Masterpiece"
I have to repeat this to myself over and over, lol.

I don't always follow the challenges that are posted on the Fauxbonichi Journalers group that I follow on Facebook, but this day I combined two of them.
We had to draw an umbrella.
Yup, that what that is, teehee….I added some stamped leaves falling as I thought it would look more fallish.
The other challenge was to write in faux calligraphy.
I actually do calligraphy, and found this challenge so much fun.

For the second page I did a journal challenge.
The question "Would you rather carry a 1kg of feathers or a 1kg of stones.
I noticed most of the journalers picked stones as the bag would be smaller…which makes sense.
But I had a different outlook on the question.
Plus I was able to stamp my TH wings on my page :)

I spent most of my day with my middle daughter Heather as I had a lot of errands and she only worked in the morning, so came along :)
I love spending the day with my girls….I even got to spend the evening with all of them tonight.
Wayne and I are heading across the border for the weekend, so Ashley wanted to come by to see us before we left :)

I received this adorable, sweet and beautifully coloured card from my friend Phillane.
If you are a YouTube watcher, you know her as Pea from Whimsical Endevors.
Isn't this the cutest card and image?!

She also wrote me a very sweet touching letter inside.
Look at these die cuts…aren't these leave so pretty!!!

I am off to go and pack for our trip :)

Hope you all had a very Creative Day today :)

House Dangles and Doodles in my Fauxbonichi Journal

These pages are on the top of my list for some of my favourite pages!!
Isn't this a fun one :)

I was inspired by Kim, from my one Fauxbonichi Journalers group I follow on FB.
I loved how she doodled around her page.
It took a bit for me to go free form, lol
I started with the straight lines..which I used a ruler for….even though I could have just followed the lines on the grid paper.
After that I told myself…just doodle lady!!!
So I did :)

I knew I was going to journal about a couple of more homes that I have lived in..plus it was zentangle/dangle Tuesday, so I drew some dangling houses….and hearts, as I love hearts :)

At first I was just going to colour in the houses and hearts, but then decided to colour in the doodle design as I like more colour to my pages :)
I used my Distress markers for all of the colouring.

Here are my pages complete….except, yet again, I took the photo before adding what made me smile on those 2 days :)

I had my friend Sharon and Lynne over this afternoon for a bit of a friendly creative time together, so I was creative today….I hope you all had a creative day today :)

Journal pages..Last weekend at the cottage.

Another couple of pages from my fauxbonichi journal :)
These pages were from our last weekend at the cottage.
Every weekend when we are at the cottage I usually added some type of trees to my pages.
We are surrounded by the forest and our lake out there.
I have also created a few pages on our weekends out there, with a lake scene :)
But enough about me missing our cottage….

I added wood grain washi to the top of my page and grass washi tape to the bottom….then the tree stickers on both pages.

I also stamped maple leaves for the background in different fall ink colours :)
Lastly I wrote about our weekend on some journal cards :)

I hadn't wrote about the things that made me smile for those days. I took the photo before I added them to my pages.

I hope you all had a very creative day today :)

The Perfect House

I thought I would share some of my pages in my journal for this month.
I stamped these house stamps, as I had decided that my journaling was going to be about homes.

I didn't have anything special happen on the 1st and 2nd of this month, so I decided to do a bit of journaling.

This page was about The Perfect House.
There are a few things everyone would like for their perfect house, here are mine :)

I am going to do a few pages on Places I've Lived.
This one is about the first house I remember living in.
I was chatting with my brother about what I remember about this house.
He and my SIL were shocked on how much I remembered, especially since I was about 2.

I really enjoy journaling about my memories…can you tell ;)
I hope you all had a very Creative Day :)

Zombie Cat.

You all know what I will be doing tonight, teehee.

Yes friends, I will not talk to you or text you during this hour…..but call me later and we can discuss the show ;)

Oh look a zombie kitty trying to get in our window, lol.

Kristy was washing her bedding, and when my girls wash their bedding they keep the door closed as they don't want Luna on the bed.
Our Luna is an open door type of cat.
What I mean by that, is if a door is closed, that is the room she wants to be in.
Kristy had forgot her door open during dinner, so Luna snuck in.
I see she tried to hide behind the blinds….not only is she obviously visible by her shadow, but her tail is hanging below the blind as well, lol.

I hope you all have a creative day today….I did :)
