Oh such a tease.

It is the Canada Day weekend this weekend!!
A weekend full of family and fun.
Not sure how much I will be posting over this weekend, but thought I would share a couple of sweet pictures of our Luna.
I put new seed in our bird feeder.
Luna loves watching the birds, but gets very excited when the squirrel came to feed.
She was so excited we could hear her banging her tail from downstairs.
I chased the squirrel out of the bird feeder, so it decided to tease Luna. Lol.
I don't think Luna minded as she sat there looking for the squirrel for a long time after it had gone.

I hope you all enjoy your weekend and if you are Canadian a fun and safe Canada Day.

Fun Fold Card #6 Tri-fold

This is the last card in the Crop & Create kit.
This one was so fun to make.
I enjoyed piecing these pattern papers on the card.

Here is the card that Sharon made...since she had the kit, she used these fun bold flower die cuts!!!

When I first made mine, I didn't have any flowers with me, as we were at Sharon's camp.
I did like it without the flowers...but still wanted to add some.
Since defunkifying my craft room, I have uncovered some supplies that I had forgot I had....like these die cut flowers.
They came in multiple sizes and colours.
I added them to both the back and the front of the card panels, so the full flower can be seen.
But I only added the pearls to the front of the card.

I also did a video on all of these cards, so here it is :)
If you would rather watch the video on my YouTube channel, just click on the link "Tracy's Treasures24"
I hope you all have a very Creative Day

Playing in the yard again.

I played outside again...it was a beautiful day. I wanted at find a cute "Welcome" sign.
I couldn't find one, but found this instead.....I just had to plant these flowers in it.

I used to have a wooden garden angel on my gate, that I had cut out of wood and painted. Sadly I don't have a photo of  the one I made, but it looked exactly like this one. But the weather aged her badly.

Here is the flower purse on the gate with the flowers planted.
I'm not sure if it is suppose to be used as a planter, but I did, lol.
I know it's not meant to be hung up...but I did.
I usually do my planting on the ground.
But my knees are so bad, I wanted to stand up to do my planting.
I told my husband to keep our broken BBQ, as I thought I could turn it into a potting table.
But in order to get to it.....more cleaning of the backyard was to be done.
I will share that mess on a different post.
Here is my potting table...for now.
I plan on cleaning it up better and prettying it up :)
I hope you were able to enjoy the outdoors and be creative today.

Fun Fold Card #5 Gift card holder

I am continuing to share the cards I had made from the Crop & Create's Fun Fold Card Kit.
I purchased the kit for my SIL, but she was having so much fun making them, that I just had to make them too.

As Sharon had the kit, I used some of my own supplies, even though there was more than enough papers and embellishments for the both of us in this kit.
Sharon followed the instructions and how to place all of the embellishment perfectly...I, on the other hand, worked with what I had and improvised ;)
Here are both of our cards together.
How fun is that multi coloured bubble paper :)

This is the inside of the card.
I love how the gift card just kind of pops up when the card is opened.
I will definitely be making more of these ones :)

I had my friends over this afternoon.
Because everyone is enjoying the summer and most head off to camp on the weekends, I have had to put my Friday Night Scrapbooking on hold for the season.
But I changed it up to Monday Afternoon Scrapbooking :)
So that was my day today.

I hope you all have a very Creative Day

Cottage Closet Re-do.

What to do at the cottage when the weather isn't the nicest?
Spruce up the place of course :).

There is an open closet in our bedroom that isn't the nicest.
The shelves must have been made with leftover boards.
Each shelf had 2 boards butted up together and wrapped with wood pattern adhesive paper.
The boards were nailed in place on wood slats
When Wayne and I painted our bedroom years ago, we just painted around them, plus we ran out of paint, so the closet was the thing to suffer.
As you can see a dresser fits perfectly on this area.
I took everything out and got to work painting the walls (as more coats were needed than what was on there) and the slats or brackets.
I also purchased new shelves, that Wayne cut to size, and also painted them white.
Now doesn't that look so much nicer.
Lastly time to organize my shelves.....my favourite part :)
Very top holds a few lamps that we replaced, but I'm not yet ready to get rid of yet.
The second shelf holds cottage supplies. Paper products, light bulbs and my hat.
The black boxes are just cardboard boxes that I flipped the flaps up and used duct tape to reinforce them.
And the last shelf holds my craft supplies.
Now let's take a closer look at the most important shelf shall we ;).
From left to right
Pattern paper and cardstock
Paper trimmer
A few embellishments
The container with the Coke packaging is my stamped images
My new Spectrum Noir markers
And lastly my planners and journal....but those go home with me at the end of the weekend.
I can't tell you how much better this looks and how happy I am when I look at it :)

I hope you all had a wonderful and created weekend.
As we were at camp we missed the flooding that happened back at home this weekend..oh my.
Wayne and I drove around the city today and the lake and rivers are high, but the roads are now water-free....thankfully.

Play Date

I invited a new friend over to craft today :)
I sold my Chameleon markers a few months ago on a local buy and sell site.
The lady that purchased them was very excited....and like all creative people do, we started to talk about the different crafts we do.

Flash forward to a week ago, I messaged Tessie to see how she liked the markers.
She admitted that she hasn't really tested them out yet....but inquired about how I blend my coloured pencils.
So I invited her over to come and play.
I put together a little card kit for us to make.
Here is the card I made.

Here is the card Tessie made.
Here are both of our cards together.
The image is from Stampin Up coloured with coloured pensils and Gamsol.
I really enjoyed the day creating with a new friend.
I did have to laugh when I received a couple of texts from my girls.....one right after the other.
Kristy's text "how was your new friend?"
Ashley's text " how was your first date?"
They are so sweet....and motherly. Lol.

I hope you all have a very creative day :)

Fun fold card #4...Gate fold card

Here is the 4th card in the Crop & Create fun fold card kit and I love this one.
It is so fun the way it closes.
I positioned  my bottom tag to tuck under the doily.. that I popped up.
It helps it to stay closed.

I didn't get a photo of my SIL Sharon's card, as these cards don't stand up on their own and I was taking the photos on her deck.
They actually fell off of the deck a couple of times before I decided taking pictures of them was not going to work.

I tried to open the card up a bit so you could see how it opens and the inside of this card.

I hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

Fun Fold Card #3...Easel card

This next card, from the Crop & Create Fun Fold card kit, is an easel card :)
I love easel cards, I love how they can stand up so nicely to be displayed.

The instructions for this easel card were a bit different than the ones I usually do.
Instead of the card base being attached to the bottom of the card, these instructions called for the base to be attached to the top...just one minor fold difference.
The fold is similar to the "Z" fold card.
Here is how this card looks from the side.
See how nicely it stands up :)

This is both Sharon's and my cards.
Remember she had the actual Fun Fold card kit, so my papers are from my stash.

Lastly to share with you how nicely these types of cards fold down to mail flat.

I hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

Fun Fold Card 2...Z fold card

Here is the second card I made with the Crop & Create kit.
This is a Z fold card.

Here is mine and Sharon's cards together.
Because she had the kit and I was just following the instructions, ours are a bit different.
But don't these colours just make you smile :)

Here is the card opened up.
I love the little cluster on the front of this card.

I hope you all have a very Creative day :)

Side entrance

Yup... Still working on my yard.
This is what I accomplished on Friday.
But you know it didn't start like this.

This is the enterance to our side yard.
The side door is the door that we use the most.
See the different colour of the stones..a bit beyond that is part of our driveway.
Look at all of those weeds, or should I say, small trees, lol.

I cut all of the branches off of the tree and then dig it out.

The root was so deep, I couldn't dig it all out. Plus on the other side of the fence is my neighbours property and they have paving stones there. So I had to be careful.
So I took the heavy duty clippers and cut as much of the roots out.
Love my safe gardening shoes, teehee.

Looks better already :)

But now to take out this dead plant.
This one was actually harder to get out than the tree.
I even got sweaty!!!
I can't remember the name of this shrub, but it grows all over the place and has many feeler roots.

I didn't want to go back to the nursery, they have enough of my money for now.
So I used some decor that I had scattered around the back yard.

My sister bought me this little fairy girl for my birthday years ago.
I love how her wings have weathered.

Here is the full area.
I just have to repaint my milk jugs.
I first painted them a deep burgundy, but painted them white for Ashley and Tyler's wedding for their wedding arch.
But I want to paint them my burgundy again.

I have really enjoyed being outside working on my yard.
Still have so much to do, but that is the story of my life... with everything, lol

Hope you all have a very creative day :)

Fathers Day cards and my weekend at the Cottage

I had a wonderful weekend at our cottage.
We had a full house as all of our daughters came up as well as Tyler, Blake and puppy Oscar.

But first let me acknowledge today as it is a day dedicated to the fathers in our lives.
I made a couple of cards.
The first card was for my husband.
A man who has a rough exterior, but is such a softie to me and our girls.
He has taught our daughters to be punctual, responsible and to value family.

My second card is for my Father in law.
He taught his son the value of working hard and his love of the outdoors.
He has also been like a father to me

Lastly, a Father (to be) card for my son in law. I had planned on making this up at the cottage, then realized to late, that I didn't bring up any cardstock or pattern paper.
I found a scrap of cardstock and used some construction paper from when the kids were young.
Good thing I bought those Spectrum Noir markers to leave up at the cottage and my stamped images ;)

Now onto my fun filled weekend.
Headed out on the quads quite a few times.
Even Heather enjoyed a ride or two.
A rare photo as she never lets me take her picture.
Put the dock in this weekend.
Everyone enjoyed a swim (except for me. It's still to cold).
Oscar loved the water.

Enjoyed s'mores around the fire.

I completed a book.

 And enjoyed a stunning sunset.

I hope you all had a wonderful creative weekend. :)

Fun Fold Card #1....Inside Pop Up Card.

I thought I would let you get a break from my flower beds and weeding.
Even though that is what I did all day.
Figured I would share a card that I did when my SIL and I went away for our girls weekend in May.

I had purchased a fun fold card kit from Crop & Create for my SIL/friend Sharon for her birthday.
She was having so much fun making these cards that I wanted in on it, lol
Because she had a kit, I had to do a few things differently on my cards.
But I think they all turned out pretty darn cute.
Here are both of our cards :)

Here is the inside of the card...pretty fun, right?!

I think this may be called a pop up card?
When you open the card the 2 flowers pop off of the page because of how it is folded.
Sharon's had butterflies on this part, I used these flowers I had found when organizing my room :)

I hope you all have a very Creative day :)
