It's finally here…..Ashley's Bridal Shower!!!!!!
Here is the beautiful Bride to Be :)
When the guests arrived there was a banner that Kristy and I had made to Welcome them all.
On the entrance table there was the guest book for them to sign and the dress form to put their cards in.
See all those tiny flowers on the dress form…yup, those are the thousands of little flowers that took me and my girls days to make….but I will get more into that in another post ;)
Look, even Marilyn made an appearance :)
If you want to know more about "Marilyn" just click on her name :)
How we set up the guest's tables.
We added some pretty wedding themed sequins to the table…as pretty as they were, they were a mess to clean up at the end of the Shower, lol.
Here is how we set up the food and beverage tables…with another banner that Kristy and I made :)
Even though I had made 3 large bags of tissue paper flowers….we could have even used more.
Now isn't this adorable!!!!
Kristy made a dress form cupcake cake.
She the theme of the shower now ;)
Not only is it so pretty, it tasted delicious with her butter cream icing she made.
What is a shower without a few games.
Ashley's maid of honour was in charge of the games and she did a great job.
This game was Guess the Bride's Age….Kristy gathered up photos of Ashley through the years and the guests had to guess her age.
Ashley played along and here she is guessing her age, while Lia is telling her, her correct age.
Funny thing was…..Ashley didn't do to good, lol.
There was one photo of Ashley from college and some of the guests thought she was 10, 8 and I think we even had a guess for 6 yrs of age, lol.
I put up a photo wall and brought my big boy camera along.
We took many photos and I am so happy with how it turned out :)
Here is the Bridal party….such pretty girls.
Me and my beautiful daughters :)
And of course I had to get one of just my girls…..love them so much :)
I think the Bridal Shower was a hit, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
So much prep, for such a short time…..but it was well worth it and I think everything turned out beautifully :)
I hope you all had a very Creative Day.

Busy prepping for a Bridal Shower
I am a procrastinator......and I fugured out why.
I have my lists of tasks that need to be completed.
When I complete these tasks early, I add more to the list.
I was finished everything for Ashley's Bridal Shower, so figured I could add some more projects... You know, since I have soooo much time
The same goes for shopping.
If I get my Christmas shopping completed early, I figure I have time to do more.
I was discussing this with Kristy and Heather last night, as we were completing yet another shower project, Kristy said she doesn't see a problem with the gift shopping part, lol.
I hope you all have a creative day.

Canada Day Card Challenge
I was asked by Tiffany of "Paper-Garden.ca" if I would like to participate in their Canada Day themed card challenge….not only that, but she offered to send me some papers to play with.
It sounded like a fun challenge and being a proud Canadian, I was excited to play along.
Here is my take on the challenge using their papers :)
The one thing I love most about living in Canada, is our beautiful land.
There is nature all around me here.
But how to incorporate this into my card…..then it came to me….birch bark :)
I punched the Maple leaves (on the banner) out of birch bark.
I coloured up this cute Prima Doll image with my Copics and then paper pieced her dress.
I added some lace to the bottom of her dress and some sparkly brads for her dress buttons.
I added a cluster of red and white flowers and then added a bit of birch bark swirls to as filler.
Here are the papers that Tiffany from Paper-Garden sent to me.
The papers on the right has such beautiful shimmer to them.
Here is a closer look at the shimmer..so pretty.
The weight to the shimmer paper is too thin to make a card out from, so I just cut it to size and adhered it on the lovely card stock they sent me :)
How fun are these simmer envelopes :)
If you would like to join in on the challenge yourself, check out this link "Canada Day Card Challenge" they have prizes as well :)
I have also came to realize (yes I am dense like that) that you can vote for the card you like the most.
If you would like to do that here is the link "Card Voting" I'm going to be sharing my card on there, so pop on over and check them out :)
I hope you all have a very creative day today :)

Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to all of the great men that raised their children and those that had a part in a child's life.
I made a couple of Father's Day cards.
I normally don't make the same card, but I was in a rush out to the cottage.
I did the stamping before we left home, I grabbed my coloured pencils and coloured these up at the cottage :)
The girls asked Wayne what he wanted to do today.
He wanted a BBQ with his girls, and to watch a movie.
We came home early from camp and all of the girls were sitting in the living room waiting for us :)
Kristy BBQ'd hamburgers for an early supper.
Ashley had to attend get together this evening, so is going to miss out on the movie portion of tonight.
I am so thankful that we can all get together as a family even though my girls are all adults :)
The girls (and I) bought Wayne a new Fitbit as he lost his on Wednesday at work, and is no where to be seen.
He has searched and searched for it…He thinks it must have fallen off when he was on a machine and got run over multiple times but the trucks :(
I hope you had a wonderful, creative day with your family today :)

My Day in Photos.....cottage edition.
Another day in pictures from our cottage.
During our many rides, I spotted some Iris's in a ditch.
I made 2 Father's Day cards and worked in my journal ( fauxbonichi).
This weekend was a fun one at camp.
We hauled it to the cottage...along with some lumber for a future project.
We thought it was suppose to rain all day, but not a drop today. It poured late last night though. So we put a fire in the wood stove and watched some tv.
I rode my quad while Wayne drove his "side by side" .... I call it a dune buggy.
We did a lot of riding today.
We went back to camp, picked up a shovel and a couple of buckets and went back to dig them up.
We planted them in front of the trailer. Wayne thought they would distract from the propane tanks. I really don't think so, but they still look pretty there :).
Then Wayne BBQ'd steaks that were marinated in his special marinate.
I did get a bit of crafting in.
I hope you enjoyed spending the day with me at our cottage.

Ready for Rain
I hear it may be a rainy, thundering kind of weekend.
But no worries, I'm prepared. I brought a lot of creative projects to work on if it is :).
So hopefully the weather will be nice enough for us to play with it.
Hoping to complete a couple Father's Day cards, catch up on my journals and fine tune the "todo's" for the Bridal Shower.
I hope you all had a Creative Day today :)
Edited to add... Kristy told me I can't go downstairs again, because every time I do, I bring more craft supplies and projects to pack up for camp, lol.

WOYWW….too much.
Whats on my Workdesk Wednesday…… a lot, lol.
Actually I have a couple of desks covered in projects.
My craft room desk has stuff on it that needs to be put away…so instead of doing that, I just moved onto another desk ;)
The much loved altered pool table made into a craft table :)
When my friends came over yesterday to create….I started on yet another Pocket Letter….so now I have 3 in the making.
I honestly don't really have time for them because of the prep of the Bridal shower and the wedding, but….I figured I will keep my weekly crafty time with my friends for this type of creating…nothing wedding related.
Unless I get overwhelmed and delegate some projects to my friends ;)
I wanted to make another project for the Bridal Shower so I moved over to another section of the craft/pool table (I love how big this is) and started this project.
I am sure by the photo, you may guess what I am working on.
I did complete this project and will share it after the Shower.
I even set up the camera and video'd bits and pieces….not sure how that video will turn out? It may not make to my YouTube channel, lol.
I hope you all had a very Creative Day.
And if you would like to see some other works in progress on some talented crafters desks, check out the "Stamping Ground's" blog :)

Happy Mail…more Pocket Letters Received :)
I received some more Pocket Letters :)
Not only are these so much fun to make, they are also so much fun to receive.
I received this one from Elise "Feed your Craft"
This is the second one that Elise has made for me.
I love the card with the pocket that she made…I will be using this…like I did with her flip card :)
Thank you so much Elise, I love your ideas!!!
I received this Pocket Letter from Becky "Fourth House on the Right":)
Not only did she send me this pretty Pocket Letter, but she also sent me this pretty pencil…I love the little crown on top.
Look at the beautiful pocket letter Becky made me :)
I really like the papers she used, and that she inked the edges for me ;)
She added these really pretty paper clips.
My SIL fell in love with the crochet piece in the centre.
Thank you so much Becky :)
Last but definitely not least is the Pocket letter that Linda "Cards by Linda" made for me….As soon as I saw it, I got excited :)
If you know anything about me, than you know that I love scary movies…zombies being my favourite, lol.
When I saw the green guy, I thought he looked like House…..well, it is House..a zombie House, lol.
There is so much going on, on this pocket letter I don't even know where to start.
I also like the sequins with the eye balls in the middle….very creative.
The back of Linda's pocket letter is just as fun as the front.
She also stuffed it full of goodies in between her works of art.
Thank you so much Linda :)
I had a couple of my friends over this afternoon and we chatted a lot more then we crafted :)
I worked on a few Pocket Letters as the project for the Bridal shower is totally complete.
I hope you all had a very creative Day today :)

My Day in Photos…cottage edition.
I can't tell you how much I love this new mirror I have for my quad.
If you look below my big mirror, you can see my original mirror.
It worked, but I would have to manoeuvre my body to get the right angle to see if Wayne was behind me.
As you can see from the picture….he is behind me :)
The best thing about this weekend was I had all of my daughters up at the cottage.
As well as Tyler, Ashley's fiancé and Blake, Kristy's boyfriend.
We knew they were all coming up….but Wayne had an ulterior motive for wanting everyone up this weekend.
We had a huge pile of wood that needed to be split and piled.
So what better time to do this, then when our whole gang is up here :)
Wayne sweetened the deal by promising everyone his special marinated steaks for supper that night :)
So the men split the wood.
Now look at that smile…I don't think they mind at all…but then again they were only half way through that big pile of logs behind them, teehee.
Besides the heavy lifting, I think they got the easier job.
I actually enjoy using the log splitter ;)
The girls then gathered the split wood and hauled it to our wood shed.
I was piling it in the wood shed, but then Heather told me I still had room to pile it higher……well, yes I did, but I couldn't reach, so she took over ;)
I think we have plenty of wood to last us for a few indoor fires and for heating of the sauna, lol.
All of this wood is either from trees that have fallen due to storms, or that were too close to the camp or my FIL's house that could have potentially landed on his house due to a bad storm.
Just so you know we don't go around hacking down trees that are healthy and strong.
So after all of the work was done, Wayne and I took our quads for a ride.
This is one of my favourite trails….this is the smoothest part of the trail…the rest is uphill, downhill, over fallen trees and rocks…I love it…so much more fun than a flat open trail :)
But I think I need to get some bike gloves as it really hurts when I get twacked by a gnarly tree branch.
We came back from our ride to find the rest of the gang playing lawn golf.
It was such a beautiful day.
Then I cleaned Ashley's jeep.
Technically it is my jeep, but lives at Ashleys house for her :)
At one time, this was our only vehicle.
When we would come to camp, I would clean it, top to bottom, every single weekend…I even washed the seats.
I loved this jeep….actually I still do….it is such a great fun colour.
Watermelon anyone :)
This is what our watermelon looks like after everyone has taken a piece.
Notice that the middle is all eaten first, lol.
And I made sure I got the first piece ;)
Then it was arts and crafts time, teehee.
Bet you can't imagine what we are making….teeny tiny flowers for the Bridal shower project I am working on.
I am almost finished with it.
And yes I will share with you, what it is, after the Shower. Which is on the 28th of this month.
With how active we all were, I still managed to take my two major walks that day.
Here is my step count for it.
And just to verify….I make sure to take my fitbit off and leave it in the cottage when I go on my quad, as it will register steps over bumps and such….and I want my steps to be accurate….or at least as accurate as this gizmo is.
Now I am on to today.
We left camp a bit later.
We brought my FIL's trailer into town….so I nabbed a few of their lilac blossoms.
I just love the smell of these :)
That was my Saturday at the cottage, I hope you enjoyed spending the day with me :)
