I am going to finally share my class project that I am going to teach at the Scrap for Heart crop I am attending this Saturday….wow that is tomorrow :)
Because the teachers are all volunteering their time and supplies for these classes, (as this is a charity event for the Heart and Stroke foundation) I had to come up with something, quick, inexpensive and (hopefully) fun.
So I came up with these Valentines Treat Pockets.
Of course you can make them any theme you like, but decided on Valentines as it is the next holiday :)
I used envelopes and paper scraps….now I know we all have a few of those laying around :)
The pocket in the middle I put treats in, but the one on the end I will use for a pocket in my scrapbook or Smash book :)
I am linking this project up to Paper Issue, "Fill 'er Up" Challenge
As an added bonus, I made a video on how i made these and also how I mad the accordion embellishment out of a cupcake wrapper.
Here is a link to this project on my
YouTube Channel Tracy's Treasures24
I hope you all had a very creative Friday.
I am off to get ready for FNS and double checking my bags for the crop tomorrow.
I keep thinking I haven't brought enough supplies as one of my bags is only 1/2 full.

Dining/Craft table
My Craft Dining table came in today and it looks so pretty.
It is a bit big for my dining room, but it has two leaves in it, so we can take one out when my crafting friends aren't here :)
I was a bit surprised that it didn't come assembled already.
I was even more surprised that they didn't put them together once they delivered them.
The delivery men put some carpet runners down as to not get snow on my carpet, I couldn't figure out why they just didn't take off their boots.
That was until I realized that they were just bringing in the boxes….not putting them together.
I phoned the company and was told we would have had to pay extra at the time of purchase to get them assembled. I am sure Wayne would have happily paid the extra to get them put together.
It would have been nice if we were informed of that at time of purchase.
But Wayne is taking tomorrow off, so I thought we could have some bonding time.
Kristy said if you and dad put them together, I'm not going to be around…dad goes insane when he does these things, lol.
So as I packed up for my crop on Saturday, Wayne put together all the chairs.
He put these chairs together like a boss ;)
I did have to help every once in a while, but nothing to major.
I did unassembled our old table though ;)
Lets take one more look, isn't it pretty :)
I am going to pick up a table cloth with a felt underside and a vinyl top for scrapbooking nights though ;)
And a table runner for my decorative bowl :)
About me packing up for my crop…I feel I haven't packed enough.
My main bag isn't even half full, that's not right. Even though I do have 2 other smaller bags that I am taking ;)
I hope you all had a creative Thursday :)

Class kits all packed up
I have all the kits ready for my class on Saturday :)
Can you tell its a Valentines theme ;)
Now to pack for the actual crop.
I got a call today to tell me that our new table is coming tomorrow.
Don't you love it when you get something early ;)
Now lets just hope they were right and we do receive it tomorrow.
Bye, bye table, you have served us well though the years ;)
I had to take Heather to the dentist today, as they found a little cavity on her last check up.
The rest of the day I was either surfing the net while watching Hannah Montana, lol.
Kristy was reliving her youth as she has a real bad cold and was on the couch most of the day.
I never had the television on during the day.
I hope you all had a wonderful creative Wednesday :)

January's monthly Tag
I finally did the monthly Tim Holtz tag.
I know I my goal was to make them by the 15th of the month, but at least I finished it before the last day of the month ;)
Here is a link to Tim Holtz January Tag.
Here is my tag :)
I like the contrast between the light background and the dark numbers and clock face.
I like that I put the year on the tag.
I also like the gear embossed-foil inside with the gear embellishments.
Actually I am really happy with how my tag turned out.
My lonely tag, waiting for its friends ;)
As much as I am looking forward to making the next months tags, I hope the year goes by slowly so I can enjoy every second of this year.
I made a video of my tag in more detail and how I made it :)
Here is a link to this video if you want to watch it on my YouTube channel.

I was so proud of myself, I actually cleaned up my room after making this tag, teehee.
I hope you all had a very creative Tuesday :)

Challenge card received and December Daily video
Today I received Phillane's challenge card.
I love this image..even though it isn't a CC Designs image she said we needed to use, lol.
Challenge failed my friend, lol.
Just kidding, this card is stunning.
I love that she used this corrugated card and that she turned the file folder card on its side.
Also the image is adorable, and beautifully coloured.
Thank you so much :)
Our internet has been so slow lately. It reminds me of when we had dial up. The page actually loads slowly in layers.
I put up a video of my December Daily. I started at 9:00pm and it finished 6:00am.
That is 9 hours for a 25 minute video.
I am also wondering if I am uploading to big of a file….so this time around I used a smaller file.
I haven't watched it on YouTube yet to see if there is a difference in quality.
But here is my December Daily in more detail :)

January Card Challenge
My friend Phillane wanted to us to do a monthly card challenge.
What we do is every month, we are going to come up with about 5 things we should do on a card and then mail each other our cards that we had made.
For January:
File Folder Card
CC Design image to colour
Use Sparkle
Use our stash.
It is Phillane's Birthday this month, so I made mine into a Birthday card for her.
As you can see I have followed our challenge prompts to a tee…I am a stickler for the rules ;)
Here is this little cutie in a bit more detail :)
Look I even added lace to mimic snow…I hardly ever use lace on my paper crafts.
I made a video if you want to hear more about our challenge and see this card in more detail :)
I still can't get my videos in screen, so here is the link to my YouTube channel.
Tracy's Treasures 24
Today I told Wayne that he should have is Black & Tan that he has once a year.
He usually has it on New Years, but because he was so sick, he never got to have it.
So as he enjoyed his drink, I enjoyed mine….a frosty glass of Coca-Cola :)
This can of coke was in the back of the fridge for a whole week and it was partly frozen ;)
Wayne was so looking forward to his drink, he couldn't wait for the photo shoot to be complete before grabbing his drink, lol.
Just in case you are wondering, Black & Tan is Harp Ale and Guinness beer. The reason for the name, is when you slowly pour the darker beer in, if you are good, it will float on the lighter coloured beer.
I spent the day doing a bit of writing and organizing my flair buttons :) I will share that in another post though.
I hope you all had a creative Sunday :)
If you want to join me with these card challenges, I would love to see what you come up with :)

Working with my New Planner Pages
I am still getting the feel for my new planner pages.
One thing I do like about these pages are that the spaces for each day on either side of the washi tape seem to be wider.
I add washi tape to where the time schedule is. I don't use this, so it is a great place to add washi to, to decorate it up :)
On these new pages the time schedule is almost in the middle of that page, last years pager were closer to one side or the other.
So I seem to be able to write more in these spaces.
I added this quote from a 4x6 Sn@p Card that I cut down, backed with card stock and then used washi tape.
I covered up the December days that carried over to this week.
One thing I don't like about these pages is that instead of all the English written first, they broke it up to English, French, English, French.
So when I add my Washi tape to separate the days, I have to cover up the numbers and parts of the English dates :(
So I guess I have to hand write my day numbers again this year.
Another reason I do like these pages is because it has a "Notes and Memos" for the month that ended and also "A Diary Record" on one page and the next is "To Be Done in..." for that month.
I really like these features. As you know I love to write, and here I have a lot of room to both make plans and to write.
I hope you all had a very creative Saturday :)

Playing with papers
Tonight during Friday Night Scrapbooking (which I thought no one was coming to) Myra was going through her papers and wanting to get rid of so much of it.
Now if you know me, I have a bit of anxiety of anyone getting rid of papers ….and most things to do with creating.
Myra was going to throw away a whole paper pack!
I told her to donate it.
She didn't think anyone would want it.
So I took her paper and made a layout for her.
I have to tell you it was so much fun.
No pressure.
Usually it takes me hours, if not days to make a 2 page layout. I critique everything.
This one was so fast and fun.
One - it wasn't for me.
Two - there were no photos to match the papers to.
Three - She was going to get rid of the papers anyway, so if I screwed up it didn't matter.
I isn't my best layout by far…..but it was fun :)
Myra has one of these Fiskar paper trimmers with the wire.
She couldn't figure out why her paper was rough and tearing.
I remember reading on 2peas about this so I figured out what the problem was.
What we did was just cut the wire off. Hope it works better for her when she replaces the blade, so she doesn't throw it away.
Wayne took today off of work today.
He wanted to find a new end table, as I broke ours a couple of years ago when I stood on it to dust the floor lamp.
Word of advice…don't stand on a pedestal table that has a mirror top, to dust. You will stand on the edge and tip the table and fall in-between the table and couch and have trouble getting up.
Oh yes back to the shopping story.
We did find a nice solid wooden end table. I think I can even stand on it to dust the lamp :)
While we were at the store, Wayne noticed a very large dining table.
He thought it would be perfect for my crafting friends as it is big enough to hold 8 people.
I guess he really doesn't want me to cover his pool table.
We had to come back home to measure our dining room to make sure it will fit as our room isn't that big.
It does fit, so we ordered it.
I guess he enjoys listening to my friends and my complaining, laughter and chatter :)
I hope you all had a creative Friday :)

Problems?
You ever have one of those days….you know the one….Its not a bad day, just a day when things don't go the way they should?
I'm sure we all have.
Well here is mine.
The plan today was to make a video of my Project for the class I am teaching.
To then drop off the sample to the organizer of the crop.
Bring Heather and Kristy for a sleep over at Ashley's as they don't have to work tomorrow.
And have a nice dinner with Wayne when he got home from work.
This is how my day really went:
Started to do a video and my video camera started flashing. Because I didn't have my cheater glasses, I had no idea what it was, so assumed it was that the battery was low.
Run upstairs to get my power cord and recharge it as I am taping.
Still it is flashing. Get the cheaters and read that my camera is full. I have never had that happen.
Delete some old video bits and start to re-tape.
As I am taping the phone rings. Its our insurance guy asking questions about our home.
I guess after dishing out money to the flood victims and hail victims, they are raising rates and want to know about any updates to our house.
As I check out the year of the furnace for him…I start to get a bit excited as hot water is running out of our water tank and making its way to the wall.
So get off the phone with him to call the repair guy.
As I turn off the water tank….no water for us until he comes to fix it.
I get ahold of Ashley to let her know I can't bring the girls to her house.
Plus I can't bring in my sample for my class. Luckily that isn't due until tomorrow.
Ashley tells me she will pick up the girls after she is done work, if the repair guy isn't there.
He doesn't come for 4 hours, so Ashley comes by to pick up Heather and Kristy.
Thankfully the repair guy shows up and fixes the problem just as Wayne comes home from work, so at least Wayne gets a hot shower.
Kristy made pizza dough and I was going to pick up the toppings after I brought the girls to Ashley's.
Because that didn't happen and I didn't have water (well I did in the fridge, but good excuse not to cook ;) we didn't have the healthy pizza for supper.
But I did have a nice healthy, yummy salad from Wendy's. It tasted healthy anyway ;)
I did get to be creative though.
I did finish my taping and edited it.
Our basement didn't flood.
The girls still get to spend time together.
Wayne and I still enjoyed a nice dinner tonight.
I'm just a "glass if half full" type of gal ;)
I hope you all had a creative Thursday :)

Book for my Monthly Tim Holtz tags.
I put all of my Tim Holtz monthly tags in this book that I altered.
When I was at Scrapfest last year (family vacation, not there for the event) I watched Tim Holtz demonstrate.
He had his tags in this little tag book.
Unbeknownst to me, it was his product. And here I was thinking the whole way home on how I was going to make my own.
When we stopped off at Pine City Scrapbooking I saw this book cover..and I think I might have squealed a bit ;)
The page protectors have to be purchased separately and also the binding, which I had.
I added the washi tape and the key hole charm to the book.
Here is a closer look at the book and how I put it together with the tags :)
Here is a link to my YouTube channel ;)

Today was spent working on my description and instructions for my class I am teaching in February.
The description and project are to be sent in on Friday.
I am working on my procrastination, so am handing everything in tomorrow ;)
We are having a windchill advisory today.
I had to run to Safeway for a few groceries and it was crazy windy.
Sounds like someone is banging on the house at times.
I love it….as long as I am cozy in my home that is ;)
I hope you all had a creative Wednesday :)

A bit of shopping and Sebastian
I didn't get to create at all today….but I did do a bit of creative shopping.
Did I need any of these items…nope. But they were all on clearance :)
The price for Thickers here is $8.49….which I refuse to pay, but these ones (only this colour of course) were on clearance for $4.99.
Everything else was $1.99 :)
I dropped Kristy off at her boyfriend's house.
He only lives a block from Ashley's house, so I met Ashley at her house for lunch.
I was there before she was, so I got to spend some time with Sebastian.
We snuggled for awhile, and then he heard some birds.
They were huge crows and would be able to carry him away…but I let him think he could take them, ;)
Then Ashley came home for lunch and he got really excited :)
He is watching her until he couldn't see her anymore, so ran to the door to welcome her home.
I thought that was so sweet.
While I was at Ashley I fixed her bedside lamps.
Then we started to organize her linen closet.
That was until little Sebastian decided to help us out by snuggling in amongst Ashley's purses :)
Can you see him?
Here he is.
Isn't he a pretty boy :)
He has such a fluffy tail.
Can you imagine my posts when I get grandchildren, lol.
I hope you all had a warm and creative Tuesday :)

Organizing my Flowers
While I was on a 2hour phone call with a friend, I decided to clean my scrap room.
My desk may be clean and organized, but the floor is not.
Well guess what I did instead???
Organized my flowers.
I really didn't think I had that many flowers.
But as I was putting them in these containers, I kept finding more in other places of my room, lol.
Now how does that happen ;)
I love that they are so nicely contained and organized.
I hope that is all of my flowers :)
I have a bin for my just my whites.
And one just for my pinks.
One for my blues and purples.
One for my browns, beiges and blacks.
And lastly one for my orange, yellow, green and reds.
I think storing them this way will be so much easier to find the ones I want….and hopefully I will use
them more.
Here are the containers I used.
I picked them up at Michaels to re- re-organize my wood stamps, lol. Yes you read that correctly re-reorganize.
I organized my wood stamps, but I think I found a better way :)
These are the thin containers.
Funny as they are twice the price of the thicker, bigger ones.
I am thinking of making a watermark on some of my photos.
So I was playing around with some app. on my phone.
Not liking this so far…but hopefully will get it how I like it some day soon ;)
I hope you all had a very creative Monday :)

2013 Monthly Tags and a project in the making
Keeping with the theme of January being my "catching up" month.
I made a video of all of my tags that I had made for my "Tim Holtz" monthly tags.
I started the year off great by making a video of each of my tags….I think that ended in about April, lol.
So enjoy the show ;)
I was asked if I wanted to teach a class at the "Scrap for Heart" crop I am attending in February.
Thank you Denise :)
I love to share anything creative, so figured why not.
Here is my work in progress, teehee.
You can see a bit of the project peeking out from the stack of envelopes ;)
Ashley came by tonight.
She and a friend were out photographing around town, so she came over for supper….funny she just happened to have her laundry with her, lol.
She was really hungry when she got here and wanted some cereal, only to discover all of our bowls were in the dishwasher….which was running.
But I taught my daughters that if they have a problem, to figure it out…she did, lol.
Off to write up a description of my project to send to the Scrap for Heart organizer :)
I hope you all had a very creative Sunday :)

Last of the goods
Sadly this is the last bit of my wild rice soup.
I scraped the bottom of the pot yesterday and put the last little bit in this small bowl.
Then I hid it in the back of the fridge, lol.
Man it was good :)
I have been keeping up with my fitness :)
Look I did almost 53 minutes on the treadmill.
This is how my mind works…I did 2.75 miles, but if I would have gone another round I would have done an even 3 miles…but I still wouldn't have done a full 60 minutes.
So I told myself just let it go…let it go…so I did.
I'm so proud of myself ;)
Now if you look at this photo it is ironic that there is a Toblerone chocolate on my treadmill.
I didn't eat it honestly.
I use is as a prop for my iPad, so I can watch videos as I walk…really I do.
Now seriously are people trying to dive me insane.
Can you see what is wrong with this container?
There…..so much better, teehee.
I don't have OCD, I may have a few OCD tendencies.
But I wouldn't never belittle this illness by saying that I have it.
Wayne wanted me to share with you what the blood suckers at the clinic did to him.
Poor baby :(
I hope you all had a creative Saturday :)

Memory Planner looks like fun :)
If you know me, then you know I don't really follow the crafting trends.
I couldn't tell you the latest and greatest products that were at CHA.
I don't really know what Tim Holtz new goodies were, unless Nicole shared them on her Facebook page ;)
But I did see this Heidi Swapp product that I thought was really neat.
I was on 2 peas in a bucket and someone posted about it.
I thought to myself….now that looks like fun.
I may have to take a closer look at that.
If not for the fun calendar like book, but for the fun goodies you can purchase for it.
To me it is like a calendar, smash book and pocket page scrapbooking all rolled into one.
Now whats not fun about that :)
Heidi has two videos on this fun book if you want to check it out

Onto My Day:
Wayne took the day off work as he had a doctor appointment.
Then we went to check on Sabatien as Ashley was at work and had trouble giving him his medicine.
But we got it in him..it only took 3 of us to do it, lol.
Tonight is Friday Night Scrapbooking :)
I hope you all had a creative Friday :)

Handmade Smash books a video and time to finally change the planner pages
Do you remember these smash-type books I made when I was on my Girls Getaway?
I love how they turned out…but I have yet to put them to use.
With my goal of having January my catch up month for last year and being in the present come February. I have been catching up on making my videos.
So here is a video talking about and sharing the inside of these two books.
I notice my videos are really big on my blog and get cut off, so if you want to go to my YouTube channel to watch it there, you can see the whole screen.
Thank you for the well wishes about Ashley's cat Sebastian.
He is doing well.
Ashley took the day off of work to care for him. She said he is doing well, but doesn't like the kitty litter he has to use because of his claws. And you know how this silly cat loves his litter, lol.
Isn't this a sweet photo of them.
I guess they both needed a nap today ;)
I thought I needed new month pages, but it turned out that the ones Wayne bought me for Christmas has them already.
I may still use the ones I purchased as they are 1 month on 2 pages. The one that came with the package is 1 month on 1 page.
There are a few differences in these planner pages than the ones I had last year.
Some good points and some not good points.
I will share those in a video later on :)
I hope you all had a creative Thursday.
Mine was spent making some videos and trying to figure out my iMovie program. The biggest problem was getting my Mac to read my video camera..but I think I got it figured out :)

Frozen - Washi
Look what I found today!!!!
Guess where I found all these yummy, addictive, beautiful washi tapes……
The Dollar Store.
Kristy and Heather were with me and thought I was just rifling around to find a certain one.
But nope, bought them all, lol.
I am planning on sharing them with some of my crafty friends and maybe even saving some for birthday gifts throughout the year. But we will see, lol.
Heather and I went to the movies tonight.
Kristy didn't want to go, so Ashley asked us to drop Kristy off at her house.
Ashley is lonely…Sebastien, her cat, has to spend the night at the vet as he is getting fixed..ouch.
But he gets to come home tomorrow morning. So Ashley took the day off of work to take care of him.
Oh ya, I guess you may be interested in which movie Heather and I went to see.
It was Frozen.
Heather and I enjoy animated movies :)
Heather and I also Saved the World while we were there.
I didn't realize that recycling your 3D glasses could actually save the world, but that is what the container stated ;)
Today was spent cleaning and organizing my laundry room :)
Yup….I live an exciting life, teehee.
I hope you all had a creative Wednesday :)

Needed more Wild Rice Soup :)
I couldn't help myself.
I needed to make another batch of soup.
Last time we only have enough for one family supper and a bowl for each Wayne and I for lunch.
This time I made a double batch.
But with making a double batch, it didn't fit in my original pot. So when I added the rue with milk…it almost overflowed. So I had to pour it into this larger pot.
Let me just say…..it was a bit messy ;(
But on a happy note, Ashley came by for supper tonight :)
I did my time on the treadmill this morning and then was going to jump in the shower.
But I dragged my arse, so told Kristy that I will take her boyfriend's house, as I didn't have to leave the vehicle. I let Kristy do the driving on the way there.
As I drove past Lowery's (our local office supply store) I remembered that I didn't have a monthly calendar for my planner. So without thinking….I went into the store.
So if you seen me in the store, thank you for pretending you didn't as I looked so bad, lol.
Don't you hate when the slush builds up on your wheel wells and then freezes in there.
I am always worried that my tire will get caught in here when I turn.
I can't tell you how much I kicked this to get it off my jeep. That was a work out in itself.
Maybe it was good that I didn't take a shower before I left, teehee.
Fighting a bit of a migraine tonight :(
I was hoping to put my new pages into my planner….guess thats a job for tomorrow :)

National Clean off your Desk Day ?!
Did you know today was National Clean off Your Desk Day?
Neither did I.
But I did jump in and tidy up the ol' desk.
Now doesn't this just call out "Come andmake a mess on me create a work of art.
I love when my desk is all cleaned off….but it doesn't last very long.
I did one better and cleaned of my stamping area.
Funny thing was, I went upstairs to make dinner. Later on, I went down into my craft room to get a certain pen…and was pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean the desk and stamping area are.
I forgot I had done it…or surprised that it was still clean.
My plan for the next few months is to go through every single cupboard, drawer, box and container to see what I have and to micro organize everything in my room.
Actually I am pretty excited to start on this :)
Today was a breakfast for dinner, type of meal.
This put a smile on my face when I opened the carton.
Heather boiled a few eggs the other day and asked what to do with the extra one she didn't eat.
I told her to mark the eggshell with a marker so we know which one it is.
Heather being the creative person she is…got creative ;)
I hope you all had a creative Monday :)
