# Love You Layout

I don't post for months and then "Bam" a post every day for like a week, lol.

If you have read my posts from this week and last week, then you know that I attended a virtual Creative Gathering put on by The Scrapbook Cottage.
They had 7 sketches for cards and 7 sketches for scrapbook layouts (which I completed thank you very much, teehee)....But they also had classes!
Because they are located in Winnipeg and Steinbeck and I am from Ontario, I wasn't able to pick up the kits for these Class kits. Sharon would have mailed them out, but I was a bit late in hearing about this, and the kits wouldn't have got to me in time.

So what is a crafty girl to do....but make up her own kits with her supplies.
Sharon and Kathy shared what was in their kits, so I just tried my best to make them work.

I was only able to do 2 of the classes as this event was jammed packed!
I still have my makeshift kits put aside to work on these classes at a later date, as the classes are still up on their Facebook page .

Here is my take on Sharon's Class
What I loved about this one is the heart shape with the 2x2 papers.
Sharon used a cut apart paper, where I had this stack of 2x2's.
Another difference is that Sharon had a pattern paper for her background where I used white cardstock and added paint splatters.
And one last change I made was that she had cut her photos in 2x2 sizes and added them to the 2x2 squares.
This was a really fun take on a layout!

Then I did one of Kathy's classes.
I was shocked that Kathy coloured and cut all of the tiny images in her kits....not only that but there were 4 cards in each kit!
I found some cute images that were coloured and some I had to colour that night to put on my card.
Even though our images are different I used the same concept as Kathy for my cards.
I only got 1 out of the 4 cards completed.

I also did a video on these 2 projects.
I would love if you visited my YouTube channel and send me some love...If you have a channel, I will return the love right back to you ❤️

Thank you all so much for visiting me today
I hope you are all well, safe and are having a creative day.

Sawyer's 4th Birthday and his Spiderman card

My oldest grandson turned 4 in Sept.
He is so cute, such a sweetie and so so smart.
He loves his cars and heavy machinery (like his grandpa).

He also loves Superheroes.
So I wanted to make him a card similar to his little brother's Hulk card.
I found an image of Spiderman off of the internet and printed 2 up on my photo printer.
I also grabbed this halloween paper as it was perfect with this spider web on it!

I fussy cut the image out, and then cut out the head and the hand from the second image.
I then popped up Spider mans head and double popped up the the hand.

I enjoyed doing some virtual scrapbooking with my friend tonight...so not the same, but its the next best thing!!

I hope you all had a creative day.

Judy's Card

Isn't this such a pretty card?

I was at a small scrapbooking crop with my friend Debbie and this card was the Make N Take.
My favourite Stampin' Up demonstrator Judy walked us through this card.
We water coloured the the flowers in with re-inkers.

I love to decorate the inside of my cards and this is stamp was perfect for this
I just think this is such a beautiful card and can be changed up depending on which sentiment you use or the colours you choose.

I even completed a few layouts at this crop....and I taught a little unexpected mini album class at my table, lol.

Thank you all for visiting me today
I hope you all have a very Creative Day

Imageless Card?!?

A card without a coloured image!??!
I know right, I don't have many (if any) cards without coloured images on them.
I wanted to put a coloured image on this card, but no matter which one I tried, they kind of got lost in the papers.
So decided to go imageless ;)

I started to follow this February sketch that "SCT Magazine" posted on their blog....that really wasn't a success as I kind of forgot and went my own way, teehee.
But I do like this sketch and plan on using it again in the future.

I just want to invite you all to my new Facebook Group called Tracy's Treasures Shares.
I started this group as a way for us all to share what we are creating on Facebook.
A drama free group that just focuses on our art...no matter what your medium of choice is.
I would love to see you there πŸ’—

Heather's 27th Birthday and her Birthday Card

Today is my middle daughter Heather's 27th Birthday!!
I made her this card to celebrate.
Heather loves Gorjuss girl images.
Actually she was the first one to introduce me to them, as she had a picture of one on her desktop many years ago.
So every year I make her a card with a Gorjuss girl image.
This one is perfect for her as she loves cats.

Heather is not really a girly girl...she doesn't like frills or pinks or anything to too over the top girly.
But when I saw this paper and the greens went so well with my coloured image, I just had to use it...plus it was on my desk.
To tone down the pinks, I added this green flower as it matched her dress.

I wanted it to look like "Ruby" was swinging in amongst the flowers, but if I had fussy cut her out, she would have got lost in the background paper.
I decided to just fussy cut out her legs and and mat the rest of her on grey cardstock.

Here are the colours I used to colour her up with.

I added green sparkle to her hair ties, dots on her dress and the ruffles.
You can see it a bit on her ruffles.

Happy Birthday Heather, I hope you have a fantastic day!!!

I did a video on her card, if you would rather watch it on my YouTube channel, just click the link "Tracy's Treasures24"
I hope you all have a very Creative Day πŸ’—

Fun Fold Card #1....Inside Pop Up Card.

I thought I would let you get a break from my flower beds and weeding.
Even though that is what I did all day.
Figured I would share a card that I did when my SIL and I went away for our girls weekend in May.

I had purchased a fun fold card kit from Crop & Create for my SIL/friend Sharon for her birthday.
She was having so much fun making these cards that I wanted in on it, lol
Because she had a kit, I had to do a few things differently on my cards.
But I think they all turned out pretty darn cute.
Here are both of our cards :)

Here is the inside of the card...pretty fun, right?!

I think this may be called a pop up card?
When you open the card the 2 flowers pop off of the page because of how it is folded.
Sharon's had butterflies on this part, I used these flowers I had found when organizing my room :)

I hope you all have a very Creative day :)

Garden Girl Birthday Card

I made this card for a friend who loves to garden, and she has a beautiful yard to prove it.
It was her birthday last week, but we all celebrated it last night, with our usual dinner and a movie.

I used one of Val's Digital Design's images called "Kididdles Girl Summer".
I think she is so cute.
The summer bonnet did not come with this image, I fussy cut it from the papers I used.
I did a bit of fussy cutting on this card as there was a cut apart paper in this paper pack from Mary Engelbreit.
The flower pot by her feet were fussy cut and then popped up with a foam dimensional.

As well as the bird house and the "Friend" sentiment.

I also fussy cut the trelles, sentiment for the banner and the blossoms at the bottom.
For the base of my card, I used papers from "Paper Garden"
They sent me some of their card stock to try and I have to say, I really like them for card bases and embossing.
I really like the look of their shimmer paper and I found (with my last card) it embosses so nicely.

Here is the card closed up to be put in the envelope.

I followed this sketch by MFT, but.....again was to late in posting to my blog to enter the challenge.
I have such good intentions though ;)

I really like making these easel cards.
Not only are they fun, but I love how nicely they stand up to display them :)

Oh and look, I did a quick video :)

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

I have to share with you this card I made yesterday during International Scrapbooking Day.
It is not your typical Mother's Day card as it is for a Mother to Be :)

I used this pretty image from "Stamping Bella called Uptown Girl Brynn" has a baby shower.
But I thought it was great for anyone having a baby..perfect for my Mother's Day card as the recipient loves to shop ;)

Here is my sentiment for this card.
I just printed it on my computer.
The tiny hearts in the background was stamped.
The paper was blank in that area and it just needed something, but I didn't want to take away from the image or the embossing, so I used a very light colour of pink and blue ink and scattered the hearts for a subtle look.

I received this beautiful cardstock from "Paper Garden.ca"
They sent me multiple sheets of 5 of their colours.
I used this beautifully shimmer paper called Stardream Kunzite.
I thought the paper was a great one to use with this uptown girl.
The paper is a soft lilac colour (the photos show up better in the images above.
This time I wanted to try and emboss these papers to see how well they stood up.
I was so impressed!!!
Look how beautifully the embossing shows up, yet (because of the heavy weight of the paper) doesn't rip through the paper.

I thought I would do a sketch challenge.
Funny thing is,  I didn't realize the challenge is long over, teehee.
But thought I would share the sketch I used.
The sketch shows 3 different paper strips..which I did, but I fanned mine out.

Here are all of the colours I used to colour in this image.
Yes I used every single one of these markers :)
See I do need all of my Copics ;)

I made this card into an easel card.
I used Mary Engelbreit 6x6 paper collection I had picked up years ago in the dollar section at Michael's.

Onto My Day:
Today being Mother's Day, I got to spend my day with these wonderful young ladies.
Every year I love to spend Mother's day outside with my 3 daughters working in the yard.
A bit of raking, weeding and just sitting around chatting.
This year we hit one of the sheds and cleared it out.
That wasn't on my list, but Ashley started and we just kept at it.
I am so lucky to have these girls in my life.

Here is the card my girls gave me.
As you can see, they leave the card making to me, lol.

Before spending the day outdoors, the girls prepared me a wonderful brunch of french toast and fruit salad.
Look how pretty they set up the table :)

Look at the beautiful flowers they got me...I love flowers :)
Love the colours.

After brunch we spent the whole day outside, it was such a beautiful day.
Then for supper Wayne BBQ'd us burgers and baked potatoes...first BBQ of the year :)
And lastly, we had red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing for dessert...yum.
Then sat around chatting the rest of the evening until Ashley headed for home.
Such a perfect day.

I hope you all enjoyed your day and was able to spend it with your family :)

Card Share….Dark Souls 3

Look, even with all the organizing I have been working on in my craft room, I still had time to create.
Well actually I had to create….it was my daughter's boyfriend's birthday.
So I made him this card, inspired by him (at the time) favourite video game.
Dark Souls 3.

I have been busy today.
I was working on organizing my pocket cards.
Considering I don't do Project Life, I sure have a lot of pocket cards.

Here is a quick video I did where I share a couple of my cards :)

Fairy Fiona and another challenge

Today I am going to share this card that I made using one of Val's Digital Design new images.
She calls these newest images her Kididles.
They are being released on April 2nd….but I was lucky enough and Val sent me them to play with early :)
Now isn't this little fairy so cute?!!

I think she is just so adorable and I love fairies and all that is whimsical, so that is why I chose this one to colour up first :)
Her name is Fairy Fiona.
They aren't up on Val's site until Saturday, but you can take a peek at her other digital images but clicking on this link "Val's Digital Designs"
If you want to check out what Val did with Fiona, you can check out her blog "Val's Creative Studio"
I coloured Fiona up with my Copic markers….I seem to be a bit out of practice, I really need to get back into my colouring :)

I have been totally re-organizing my craft room and came across these cute tiny kites…I thought it was perfect for this spring-like image :)

The inside of this card :)

One last look at my card :)

And look, another challenge for me :)
I followed the "Mojo Monday sketch challenge" for this card….now lets see if I can remember after I post, to link it….I usually forget to link it until the next day or so, lol.

Like I had mentioned above, I have been in the craft room, re-orgazning and oh my, I have a lot of work ahead of me.
So far I have done my paper scraps, 6x6 papers, 12x12 papers, card stock and stickers.
I told Kristy I was hoping to get my room completed by Friday.
She thought that was quite funny.

I hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

New Baby Tristan's card.

Its the Year of the Boy I tell you.
Everyone who is going to have, or had a baby that I know of this year, are all having boys (4 so far this year).
Here is a card I made for my brother and his wife for my nephew Tristan :)
Unfortunately my brother and I live in different provinces, so not sure when I will be able to see this little cutie in person.

I think I need a new angle for my photos as these look a bit wonky to me, lol.

Here is the inside of the card.
You all know, I love to use these index cards inside my cards to write my messages :)

Look at me go, another card challenge!!!!
Here is the sketch that I used from the challenge going on at "Mojo Monday" :)

I made this card on Friday during my Friday Night Scrapbooking evening that I host at my house.
My friend forgot her project, so just used my leftovers to make a card very similar to the one I did here :)

Hope you all have a very Creative Day

Inking Embossing folders

Here is a card I had made for a swap I was in.

I had seen this technique where you ink up one side of the embossing folder, and then run it through your embossing machine.
The ink transfers to your paper, where the ink was placed and where there is no ink, it says the colour of the paper used.
In this instance I inked the de-bossed side of the embossing folder.
I don't think my embossing folder was deep enough and some of it flowed to the parts that I didn't want colour...the trees.
This took me a few tries to get it to where I liked the look.
I then added more colour with my water colour pencils.
Lastly I added a deer die cut and the greeting.

I hope you all have a very Creative day :)

A Card...I made a card!!!

Look I created a card...it has been months since I have made a card.

Another of my LONG list of goals is to create more this year, and to enter some challenges.
This isn't necessarily for a challenge but a swap with a theme.
I was to make a feminine celebration card,
a male celebration card
and 2 cards of my choice.
This one here is my feminine greeting card.

I used a stamp from Stampin' Up and my water colour pencils.
I stamped the envelope as well.
I wanted to keep this card flat, as I wasn't sure where it was going to be mailed out to.
I did pop up the greeting though.

I hope you all have a very creative day :)

Spiderman card

The Today is my new son (in law's) birthday.
I make him a card every year for his birthday.

Tyler likes Spider-Man, so I decided to make him this Spider-Man card.
I saw this on Pinterest, created by "Stamp with Tami"

I thought I had a web embossing folder, but nope.
But that wasn't going to stop me.
So I drew a web on the back of the red cardstock and used a stylus to hand emboss the web design.
I then used black ink to lightly ink the embossed areas.
Punched oval shapes and then shaped them with my scissors.
I didn't have a bigger oval punch for the black outline for the eyes, so just cut it out with scissors.

I was on a very short time frame (as I was heading out the door then ran downstairs to make this).
I also realized, I don't have all the supplies that I thought I did, teehee.

I hope you all have a creative day today :)

Tracy :)
