Just in the nick of time…..again.
So much for me getting these tags made by the 15th of each month.
Well here is my Tag for the 2014 Tim Holtz monthly tags.
I had made my own stencil for the hearts in the background.
I also altered this grunge board arrow to suit my needs.
Not a fan of this chalkboard look or technique but I did it.
I do love the sparkly heart though :)
Reminds me of Dorothy's shoes, I had a a pair :)
I did a video in which I share more on how I made my tag with the supplies I have.
You can watch the video on my YouTube channel.

Happy 23rd Birthday Heather
Today is my daughter Heather's 23 birthday.
Wow, hard to believe she is 23, especially since I feel only a few years older than that ;)
My Heather is a quiet girl to most.
But believe me this girl has an opinion and is not afraid to voice it to me or her family.
She is kind and a lover of all animals.
She loves to be around her sisters.
She is thrifty like me.
She also is not a person with a lot of needs.
Which makes it difficult to find her a gift.
We have a tradition in our family, that when it is your birthday, you get to choose where to go out for your Birthday dinner.
Heather picked Wasabi, which is a sushi restaurant.
Here are my 3 beautiful daughters :)
As I was looking for a card for Heather, she was in the room with me.
When I told her what I was doing she asked me "What, aren't you going to make me an Alice in Wonderland card"
I had a few cards with the gorguss girls images on them, as I know she loves these images.
So I showed them to her but she couldn't choose which one she liked more.
Funny that she picked out her own birthday card :)
After dinner we all came back home to have cake.
Everyone was so full from supper that they decided to play some board games.
Wayne and I decided to lounge on the couch, lol.
If you are familiar with my blog and my family, then you know Kristy is the cake maker/decorator in the family.
So she made Heather's birthday cake.
A tardis from one of Heather's favourite shows, Dr. Who.
I hope you all had a creative day today.
Still didn't get a chance to work on my monthly tag…I have to get it done for tomorrow though.
I hope you had a wonderful Birthday Heather bear :)

Mommy/Daughter time ;)
I know I don't mention my beautiful daughter Heather on my blog that often.
The reason being, she never lets me take a photo of her.
Unless you count all the photos of her with her hands in front of her face, lol.
She had no idea that Kristy took this picture ;)
Today we had to go out and get Heather's Health card renewed as tomorrow is her birthday, and if you know me, then you know I do most things at the last minute ;)
Heather wasn't thrilled about going out today as she had worked earlier this morning, so I helped out by drying her hair after her shower.
It has been many years since I have done this, and was happy to do it :)
I had started on my tag for February, but didn't get around to finishing it.
Maybe I'll have a bit of time tomorrow :)
I hope you all had a creative Wednesday :)

Thank you Stampin' Up card
My second card from that Stampin' Up party that I went to last Sunday.
Such a simple, yet pretty card.
I waited to stamp the sentiment for when I came home as I wanted a different one than the demonstrator had for us.
As you can see I stamped it on a separate piece of paper…reason being, I smeared the ink when I stamped on the actual card front.
But no worries, there is always a way to fix it :)
First we stamped the flower image.
The water marks are a stamp.
I love the look of this.
Plus it is nice and flat for easy mailing.
Again, we finished the inside of the card at the party :)
Onto My Day:
I picked Ashley up on her lunch break as we wanted to go and buy a gift for my new great niece.
She is having a baby shower this Sunday.
My niece has already had 2 showers so the gifts on her registry were pretty picked over, plus I wanted to get her a pretty outfit, so we went our own way ;)
Ashley and I had so much fun looking at baby girl clothes.
Then we went to the food court in the mall for a quick lunch before Ashley had to go back to work.
I hope you all had a wonderful and creative Tuesday :)

Stampin' Up masculine card
My friend Denise had a Stampin' Up get together and invited me :)
I was happily surprised that we got to make not one, but two cards :)
Here is one of the cards that we made.
I really like card :)
Whenever I go to one of these types of classes, I usually have to change something about the card, lol.
But with this one, I kept it exactly as Helen (the Stampin' Up demonstrator) had made hers.
I love the two blues with the brown.
Here is a closer look at the images.
I love this stamp set for masculine cards.
We even had the supplies set out for us for the inside of the cards :)
Again here is the finished card.
Onto My Day:
I had a little visit from my friend Lynne this morning :)
Then Kristy and I had a lot of running around to do.
First step was going to the post office. I mailed out my to my Giveaway winners' parcels.
Kristy got bored waiting for me while I was at the post office ;)
This is what happens when I leave my phone behind, lol.
She put this photo as a background on my phone ;)
Then we went to Applebees for a light lunch. I had a $10.00 off card that had to be used by Feb. 28th. Actually I have another card ;)
Then we ran to get a dozen bagels from the mall.
Picked up Heather's B. Day present as her birthday is this Thursday.
Then ran to Safeway for some groceries.
So I din't get to create or clean today….a little disappointed about the creating part ;)
I hope you all had a creative Monday :)

Canada Wins the Gold
Well the Olympics are over and I have to say that I was excited to watch the Canadian men's hockey game.
I am not a big hockey fan, but I did wake up early to see this.
And I am glad that I did.
So happy to see that Canada won the Gold :)
Also happy to see the Canadian women's team also won the Gold :)
Another great thing is that one of the women and one of the men who won the gold are from my Home town :)
Here are a couple of fun Facebook statues that I had come across this morning.
I thought that it was funny that the bars opened up early and were allowed to serve alcohol for the games :)
This is another funny one I came across :)
Yes I woke up early to watch the game, but then went back to bed ;)
Quick post as the Walking Dead is about to start.
I did go to a Stampin' Up party today, and we made 2 cards.
I will share those with you another day :)
Hope you all had a creative zombie day ;)

Pure Innocence and a funny story
Last night, Debbie and I finished these cards that we started last August at our "Girls Getaway".
Can you believe we didn't finish them sooner?!
Actually my image was coloured, paper pieced and my card was more or less put all together.
But I just needed to paper piece her balloon.
When I took another look at it this morning, I thought it was missing something.
So I added some line work to the papers.
I just used my .03 multi liner and drew the black lines around all the papers and flags or fishtails.
I think it added just the perfect touch ;)
I remember adhering her dress late at night….way back in August. I don't think I had my cheater glasses on, and now I can see I didn't quite get her dress on perfectly.
Oops ;)
Here is the inside of my card.
Today Wayne and I had an appointment.
It was cancelled yesterday as the guy couldn't get into town.
So today was the day…but we had to miss the Olympic hockey game. Congrats Finland :)
I hope you all had a very creative Saturday.
I did.
I put a card together from the image I coloured last night.
Not to happy with how the card turned out…but still have a few touches to add to it.
Funny Story:
I was so tired this evening so went for a nap at around 6:30pm.
When I woke up I was confused as to why Wayne wasn't beside me as I thought it was morning.
That was until I heart Heather laughing at a show that was on.
I got up and told Wayne, wow I really needed that nap.
He looked at me oddly and said "You were only gone for 10 minutes"
That is what I call a power nap, lol.
Off to bed early tonight as Wayne and I are getting up early to watch the Canadian/Sweden hockey game.
Good luck to Canada :)
7:00am comes early for me.
Tracy :)

February Card Challenge
If you remember from last month I am doing a monthly card challenge with my friend Phillane.
Click here for last months card.
Here is February Challenge card.
The elements we decided for this card are..
1. We had to make an easel card.
2. We had to use a gorguss girl image.
3. It had to be a Valentines theme.
4. We had to use flowers
I used a lot of hearts on this card :)
The border punch is a Martha Stewart border and a corner punch.
I used this adorable image and coloured it with my distress markers.
Surprised I didn't use my Copics aren't you ;)
I used the distress markers as water colours.
I used water colour paper and added some colour from the marker and moved it around and blended it with my water brush.
The little hearts that are hanging from the umbrella are not from the image.
I wanted her to look like she is showered in love.
I coloured some white card stock with the same colours as I used on the image and then punched the hearts out with a heart punch.
I then sandwiched the hearts in-between crafters floss. Crafters floss is like twine, but more stiff.
I then stamped the top of the umbrella, coloured it up again and popped it on the main image to hid the crafters floss in-between the umbrellas.
Even though I have my flowers organized (and I have more than enough) I couldn't find any that I liked that went with this card.
So what do I love to do……make my own.
Like the hearts under the umbrella, I coloured up some white card stock with the same distress markers and punched the flowers out with a flower punch. I then formed the flowers and added some sparkle :)
For the heart pins, I did the same as flowers and hearts, but sandwiched them in-between a tooth pick and added some distress stickels.
I did a video with even more detail on this card. I have a bonus Bloopers ;)
To watch it on my YouTube channel Tracy's Treasures24
I was very creative today.
I did my video, edited it and posted it.
I didn't think anyone was going to come for Friday Night Scrapbooking as we got a snow storm.
The schools were even closed…we never have school closures here as we are accustom to snowstorms here.
But my friend Debbie came by and we completed some cards that we started back on our girls creative getaway back in August.
Kristy and I went to help my friend Myra, as she got stuck in her daughters driveway. We helped shovel and I suggested using her floor mat for traction, as her tires were just spinning. It was a success and we actually cheered when she got out :)
I hope you all had a very creative Friday :)

Winnings and Community
Look what I won !!!
Kathy of Canadianscrappergirl on Yoube did a give away and I was one of the winners :)
A lot of these embellishments I haven't seen before.
I am loving those resin flowers.
I did a video if you wanted to take a closer look at the creative goodies.
I wanted to bring my friend a tea today, so grabbed myself a hot chocolate while I was there.
I thought is was so cool to see the locals sitting around having their coffee and enjoying the Olympic hockey game.
Loved that they all cheered when Canada got a goal :)
Look what I found today :)
As I was bringing in some groceries I saw some money :)
A Loonie (our dollar) and a quarter in the snow.
I think they came out of the dryer vent…..thanks Wayne ;)
That is all from me today :)
I made a card today, but I can't share it until the recipient receives it.
I hope you all had a very creative Wednesday :)

Grey Raskog Cart Organized
Here is one of my Ikea carts all organized and suited to my needs.
This grey Raskog cart stays upstairs as I create a lot while watching televisions with Wayne in the evenings.
I like these carts as they can hold a lot and they have nice sturdy wheels, so when company comes over, I can wheel it in the bedroom out of the way :)
So let me explain more on what I am using this for.
This one is dedicated to my P365, Smash book, journals and my Day Planner.
The top of the cart holds my travel tote.
This travel tote hold all the necessities for these books and for everyday crafting.
To see what is in this tote, check out this post ***Travel Tote***
I like that it sits so nicely in here. I can get everything out with leaving it in the cart, but yet easy to take out when I am on the go.
The middle tray holds my photo trimmer, a few stamps and stickers that go with my books.
I have decorative envelopes in here and some avery labels so I can make my own custom stickers.
My new mini banner punches and some post it notes.
The bottom tray holds my composition books that I enjoy altering and using as various journals and a new Smash book.
It also holds my label maker in that box with the butterfly on it.
My Stampin' Up markers are in that pink bag and my red tape gun.
I also put in a couple of 6x6 paper pads.
I was really trying to incorporate my tag and journal tray in here, but I just couldn't figure out how.
Not a big deal though, I will just bring it upstairs when I need it.
If you want to see what is in the **Journal Tray** click on the name.
You don't think I forgot about my washi tape, now did you ;)
My washi tape drawer is to big to fit in here.
So I grabbed an extra hanging shelf thingy, added some washi to it, that I have picked out for my month Planner pages and and hung it to the tray edge.
I am still brainstorming on how I am going to use my turquoise cart to its full potential :)
Hope you all had a very creative Monday :)
Today was Family Day here in Canada. All stores were closed and we enjoyed a nice relaxing day at home.
Ashley even came by…..to do laundry ;)

Weekly planner pages
Thought I would share my week on 2 pages from this past week.
Because of it being Valentines Day this week, I enjoyed adding lots of hearts with pinks and reds :)
Last year I used my planner as sort of a diary..but in short form.
But I seem to document mine and my families lives in many forms.
My blog, my planner, Project 365.
Do I really need to document it in 3+ places?
No, I don't think so.
So my planner will be used for my "ToDo's" and appointments.
Many of the days will be the same…but I noticed I seem to enjoy decorating it more than using it, lol.
I completed organizing one of my Ikea carts today.
I even took photos….but I forgot to upload them to my laptop and the Walking Dead starts soon, so we will have to wait for another day for that ;)
It was a bit nicer here today -12c.
Wayne thought it was nice enough to do some errands in his shorts and a t-shirt…crazy Canuck, lol.
To those of you that haven't commented on my giveaway, please go and check it out :)

Organizing my carts
I love these Ikea carts.
They hold so many goodies ;)
That is a good thing..unless you are like me and just keep putting stuff in it, hoping to organize it later.
Yes I have two of them.
And yes they are both in a big unorganized mess.
I am in the process of organizing both of them.
The grey one is kept upstairs for when I do my crafting while watching a movie.
I want to keep my *Travel tote* upstairs as it has all my necessities for paper crafting. Then I can just take it out of here when we are on our way to the cottage.
Once I get them organized to suit me perfectly, I will share the finished carts and what are in each one.
It may take me the whole long weekend to figure it out though ;)

Today was a real nice day.
Not the weather mind you.
Wayne was going to go and plow the cottage roads, but it was still snowing, blowing and it was cold.
It was a great day as my oldest daughter Ashley invited us all to her house for lunch.
She and her boyfriend made a great Valentines supper of 4 cheese spinach dip with baked pita chips, shrimp Au gratin, chicken with bacon carbonara. They had so much left over.
It was a delicious.
I have to laugh at Sebastian as he loves straws. He will take it right out of the glass and then run away with it.
Ashley has a photo of him, that it looks like he is drinking out of a straw, teehee.
If you haven't yet, go to yesterday's post *Giveaway Post* and leave a comment to be entered…I know you wanna ;)
I hope you all had a creative Saturday :)

A giveaway and Happy Valentines Day
Happy Valentines Day
I hope you got to enjoy it with the one/ones that you love.
Or if not, I hope you pampered yourself.
Let it be you made yourself a wonderful meal..or ordered out.
Had a chocolate or two…or three ;)
I hope you all had a wonderful day.
My honey and I went out for lunch after an appointment we had.
I think I should have touched up my manicure before taking this photo ;)
Guess what….
I am having a giveaway :)
It has been 4 years (Jan 1 2010) since I did my first post on my blog :)
It has been 4 years (Feb 11 2010) since I did my first video on my YouTube channel.
Wow, 4 years has sure come and gone.
Here is a video on my give away and how you can enter.
I have also done a secret give-away for all my subscribers that comment daily or almost daily.
But I will draw them all at the same time.
So good luck and be sure to comment :)
If you want to watch the video on my Youtube Channel Tracy's Treasures24
Guess what else I did today.
I went to see my great niece Eva. She was born yesterday.
She is just so precious. Like a perfect little doll.
My niece is doing great and so is Eva.
Every time I hold a new born baby, I end up tearing up.
I remember when I held my sister's baby girl in the hospital, Heather said "mom it looks like you are going to cry"
My sister said "Yes, that is what your mom does whenever she holds a new baby"
And here I thought I was a good actress ;)
Funny story.
Well funny as my husband was busting a gut.
As I was walking to the jeep, I tripped on the extension cord outside.
I was so close to recovering…but didn't make it…landed face first in the driveway.
Wayne seen me but wasn't sure what I was doing as he was in the jeep.
When I got up, and opened the door, Wayne asked what I was doing.
I fell..thank you so much for helping me.
Wayne thought I was running to the back of the jeep to put the flowers in, that I had bought for my niece.
After Wayne realized what happened, and that I was okay, He laughed and laughed.
He laughed so much, I thought he was going to choke.
Actually I kinda hoped he would have, lol.
All is good, the flowers survived the fall.
I hope you all had a creative Friday :)

Time to Shovel…and shovel..and shovel
Today was a good day to stay at home.
But I didn't.
See that mound of snow under and to the right of my mailbox….well that is my gazebo bird feeder.
I didn't see any of the birdies around there today ;)
We got quit a bit of snow today, but the worst was the wind blowing.
We had to shovel the walk and front steps at least 3 times today.
When Wayne came home from work, the snow was up to his thighs.
Like I said I didn't stay home.
The girls planned for a sleep over at Ashley's tonight. Ashley has to work tomorrow, but Heather and Kristy doesn't.
I figured since I was going out anyway, I might as well stop in at Michael's.
I needed a few more things for my giveaway.
I sure can't wait for the warmer weather, for when I can set up gazebo and sit outside and enjoy the warmth.
Even though the trees look pretty all covered in snow….but I'm so over it.
I hope you all had a very creative Thursday :)
