I received some happy mail!!!
Not only was it happy mail, it was handmade happy mail πŸ’—
Flo from Beauty and Brains Girls on YouTube.

Flo works with digital papers and makes travellers notebooks with them.

This one is so personal  πŸ’—
I was so excited to see that she made me one of her bottle cap charms!!

I make a video which shows the inside papers of these journals.
If you would rather watch it on my YouTube, just click the link "Tracy's Treasures24".
I am so excited to start filling these journals in.
I hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

All Caught Up

I am caught up in my Fauxbonichi Journal!!!!!
Actually I have completed the book, as in no more pages left to write in :)

I wanted to add some colour on some pages so I decided to use some inks.
I got this idea when I tried my hand at recreating some bokah, back in February….boy, I am a procrastinator, lol.

Oops forgot to show my templates ;)
I had already had the fun polk a dot washi tape on this page and I just happen to try it on here….coincidence or artsy genius, lol.
I punched circles with 4 different sized circle punches and then just kept inking and layering them.
I used some make up pads to apply the ink…I was at camp so used what I had….odd that I would have make up pads there as I don't wear make up when we are there, lol.

I think this page turned out so pretty :)

I hope you all had a very Creative Day :)

Journal and Supply Organizing

Journal Organizing Day :)
Here are some of my journals in my Raskog cart.
The ones where you can see the spines, are ones I have yet to use.
The ones where you can see the pages are the ones I have in progress.
My finished journals are stored elsewhere…..and now that I think of it, I have many other "yet to use" journals in other areas of the house…hmmmm, do you think I like journals ;)

I have most of my planner and journal supplies in my pink Craftsman tote.
If you want to see what I have stored in the tote, check out this post "Travel Tote"
But then I moved some of my supplies in a brown decorative box in the living room, as it has a lid and I  can hide my supplies if company comes over. I do most of my journaling in the living room during the evening.
But I noticed that I was  storing too many supplies in the decorative box and the lid wouldn't fit tight.
So I went back to my Craftsman tote.
Even though it is out in the open, I can hide it in my room when company comes by.

I took over the pool/craft table today to organize and go through all of the supplies that have creeped into my totes.
I had more than I needed in there.

I watched Heather play "The Last of Us" while I organized my supplies.
I am so enjoying this video game. The graphics are so detailed and the story and characters (zombies/infected) are pretty cool.
I have watched from the beginning of the game and have so much invested in the story, that I told her she can't play it without me, lol.

I hope you all had a very Creative Friday :)

Fauxbonichi pages

On yesterday's post, I shared with you my "Month Page" for my "Fauxbonichi Journal".
Today I will share my daily pages :)
I attached 2 pages together at the edges with washi tape.
I don't like marker bleed through, so this was my way of fixing this.
I then added a header.
On my header I wanted to add the day, the week and the month.
I was also hoping to add the weather and how many steps I take in a day.
I was worried I wouldn't have room to do that in this new Miquelrius journal, as it is much smaller than the Moleskine grid notebook I was using last year.
But I just put the week and month in the same block, and it all fit!!!

The dates are done with some stamp sets that I have.
I then added some washi tape to the top and bottom to decorate it up, because you can never have too much washi on a page, right ;)
The large blocked areas are going to be used for drawing, stamping, colouring, photos or just to add a piece of memorabilia that I pick up here and there.
The bottom long block will be used for something I am grateful for.
I have been adding something I am Grateful for, to my journals for many many years (like 10+). I used to add 3 things that I was grateful for, but now I am just documenting one. Not that I can't think of 3 things though :)

These pages are all filled in now, but it is my journal, so I won't be sharing my writings.
Most of my days are pretty boring, but I still want to keep them to myself.
I will do a month end video showing my pages, but it will be for showing what I have done or put in the art/decorative blocks.
If you want to see how my last journal looked all filled in, I shared that on my "Fauxbonichi Journal" post.

Are you keeping a journal/diary this year?
Do you or did you ever keep a diary/journal?
I would love to know :)

Hope you all had a very Creative Friday :)
I keep thinking it is Sunday today, I know my Honey is happy it's not, lol

Art Journaling…Come Learn with Me…Journals

This is the second video in my series of art journaling.
To check out my 1st post, click the link "Art Journaling"
I mentioned I was going to start with Gesso, but I figured we should start with journals, as that is the most important art supple we will need :)

There are many types of journals.
Some are coil, spiral or ring bound and some are stitched or glued in their binding.
You may think it doesn't really matter, but the more you work with each type, you will figure out with type you prefer.
The bound journals lay nice and flat. They are great for working on each page individually.
The journals that are bound by stitching or glue are great for working on two page spreads…can you tell I"m a scrapbooker ;)

Also what to look for in a journal is the type of paper that they contain.
I personally like water colour paper because the paper is quite thick and takes mediums very well.
But then again you can use thin paper or any type of paper if you treat it with Gesso first….but lets not get ahead of ourselves ;)

I made a video where I explain my findings in more detail :)
If you would rather watch my video on my YouTube channel (as my blog doesn't show the full screen) just click on the link :)   "Tracy's Treasures24"
I hope to inspire you to try art journaling, where we can all learn together :)

I hope you all had a very Creative Day :)

Journal Addiction

I have a love affair with journals and notebooks.
If I see one I like, I have to have it.
The feel, the smell and the excitement of using a new journal just makes me happy.
I keep telling myself that I don't need another notebook or journal…but then I see one that is just so pretty or one I figure is perfect for my next project and I find myself at the checkout eagerly wanting to give the salesperson my money ;)
See these journals here, they are just a small look at my many journals….I have not written a word in any of these ones.
Even though these are full of blank pages, I don't think they will be my last ;)

I am off on another adventure tomorrow, don't be surprised if I come home with new journal ;)

Thankful Thursday:
I am thankful that I have an addiction that is not harmful, well maybe to my pocketbook ;)
I am thankful that I have rediscovered my love of scrapbooking.
I am thankful for all of my adventures.

Hope you all had a very Creative Thursday :)

My love of Journals

I love book stores!!!
I can spend hours in them and it will only feel like a few minutes.
Not only do I love to read, I also love journals and note books.

This makes me happy.
Look at all these journals, with all the lovely blank pages inside, just waiting to be touched by a pen..
I would love one of each please ;)

I am working on a new journal/planner :) more to come on that ….if it works for me ;)
As I was at the book store today, I ran into an old school friend.
I thought it was ironic to run into her after all these years at a bookstore, as she was the one that got me into keeping a diary in (I think) 7th grade.
I thought she had the perfect life, and was intrigued that she wrote in a diary almost every night.
The next day after seeing her diary, I used my babysitting money to purchase my own "Ziggy" journal with a fountain pen.
My first entry was in January of 1982 and was about a boy asking me to date him, lol.
Since then have kept one for years in different forms.
I still have all of my journals/diary's, it is one thing my younger sister would still love to get her hands on :)

I hope you all had a very Creative Monday :)

Grey Raskog Cart Organized

Here is one of my Ikea carts all organized and suited to my needs.
This grey Raskog cart stays upstairs as I create a lot while watching televisions with Wayne in the evenings.
I like these carts as they can hold a lot and they have nice sturdy wheels, so when company comes over, I can wheel it in the bedroom out of the way :)

So let me explain more on what I am using this for.
This one is dedicated to my P365, Smash book, journals and my Day Planner.

The top of the cart holds my travel tote.
This travel tote hold all the necessities for these books and for everyday crafting.
To see what is in this tote, check out this post ***Travel Tote***
I like that it sits so nicely in here. I can get everything out with leaving it in the cart, but yet easy to take out when I am on the go.

The middle tray holds my photo trimmer, a few stamps and stickers that go with my books.
I have decorative envelopes in here and some avery labels so I can make my own custom stickers.
My new mini banner punches and some post it notes.

The bottom tray holds my composition books that I enjoy altering and using as various journals and a new Smash book.
It also holds my label maker in that box with the butterfly on it.
My Stampin' Up markers are in that pink bag and my red tape gun.
I also put in a couple of 6x6 paper pads.

I was really trying to incorporate my tag and journal tray in here, but I just couldn't figure out how.
Not a big deal though, I will just bring it upstairs when I need it.
If you want to see what is in the **Journal Tray** click on the name.

You don't think I forgot about my washi tape, now did you ;)
My washi tape drawer is to big to fit in here.
So I grabbed an extra hanging shelf thingy, added some washi to it, that I have picked out for my month Planner pages and and hung it to the tray edge.

I am still brainstorming on how I am going to use my turquoise cart to its full potential :)

Hope you all had a very creative Monday :)
Today was Family Day here in Canada. All stores were closed and we enjoyed a nice relaxing day at home.
Ashley even came by…..to do laundry ;)

WOYWW, Working on my Traveling Tote

Today I am working on something I have been planning on doing for the last month or so.
I have my Day Planner, Smash book and journals... and a whole lot of mess ;)
I usually work on my books while Wayne and I watch television. He likes for me to be with him, so encourages me to bring my supplies up from my craft room.
So instead of running up and down the stairs, and getting Wayne to pause the movie we are watching...I decided to put together a supply kit I can keep in the living room so I don't have to leave all the time and so it doesn't look like I trashed my living room, lol.
Plus we go to the cottage almost every weekend, so with this all put together it will be so much easier for me to grab my travel kit and head out the door.
Wish me luck in condensing 3 project supplies into one tote :)

I just realized that it is Wednesday, so I can share my desk on Julia's blog for her "What's on Your Workdesk" post :)
Mind you this is my dining room table and not my actual craft desk.

Onto My Day:
I did my hour long walk.
Then Ashley came home for lunch.
Kristy took her college class exam, as yesterday when I brought her there, the teacher wasn't there. He phoned me today to tell me it was his error as he forgot...no sh1t sherlock. She was there on time, waited for 45 minutes and phoned him and emailed her other teacher as she waited for him.
So the teacher set up the exam, at her high school. she took her exam and figures she did very well on it :)
After school I took Kristy and her friend Allison for ice-cream.
It has been a tradition with me to take my daughters out for ice-cream at the end of the school year. Since my other daughters have been out of school for a few years, that  just leaves Kristy left, so we have taken her friend Allison with us for the last few years :)
Spent a good part of the day putting a video together for my Traveling tote. Hopefully I can share that tomorrow :)

I hope you all have had a creative Wednesday :)

Tracy :)
