I really need to stay on top of things…..last day of the month again, and just getting Tim's Tag done.
What I really liked about this tag, was the use of the corrugated cardboard..cool right!!
I ordered a couple more of those FB books from My Social Book, and the cardboard they packaged them in was perfect!!
Not to thick and easy to peel off parts of the top layer.
After distressing it a bit, I had to cut it into a tag shape.
Tim used his foil/glue.
I could not find my foil…it isn't Tim's but I remember doing this many moons ago where I would use Aleene's Tack it Over and Over and then apply the foil to the tacky surface.
I knew I had to get on this tag…so I came up with a different option.
I decided to use gold embossing powder.
I used a make up sponge to pick up some Versa Mark, pounced it through the stencil, then added the embossing powder and heat set it.
See how it shines..not the same as the foil..but use what we have right ;)
I then flicked some black paint on as well.
I like the distressed look.
Now for the tag that goes under this.
The butterfly die cut also comes with a matching embossing folder….love that…Thanks Tim :)
I embossed the butterflies and then added some colour.
I liked the colour, but then kind of mucked it up by adding more colour :(
So to rectify this, with a light hand I picked up some black paint on my make up sponge and grazed over the embossed part of the butterflies.
Lined up the two tags and adhered them together.
I added a word plaque after adding some paint to it.
I wanted to add a bit more spring colour to this tag.
Bonus, I got 2 corrugated butterflies out of this project when I cut the shapes out :)
Here is my tag again :)
I added the same eyelash wool to the top of the tag as I used to attach the word plaque with.
I am not sure why….but not loving my tags I have done so far this year.
Oh well…they were still fun to make and that is what is important right :)
I hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

Fairy Fiona and another challenge
Today I am going to share this card that I made using one of Val's Digital Design new images.
She calls these newest images her Kididles.
They are being released on April 2nd….but I was lucky enough and Val sent me them to play with early :)
Now isn't this little fairy so cute?!!
I think she is just so adorable and I love fairies and all that is whimsical, so that is why I chose this one to colour up first :)
Her name is Fairy Fiona.
They aren't up on Val's site until Saturday, but you can take a peek at her other digital images but clicking on this link "Val's Digital Designs"
If you want to check out what Val did with Fiona, you can check out her blog "Val's Creative Studio"
I coloured Fiona up with my Copic markers….I seem to be a bit out of practice, I really need to get back into my colouring :)
I have been totally re-organizing my craft room and came across these cute tiny kites…I thought it was perfect for this spring-like image :)
The inside of this card :)
One last look at my card :)
And look, another challenge for me :)
I followed the "Mojo Monday sketch challenge" for this card….now lets see if I can remember after I post, to link it….I usually forget to link it until the next day or so, lol.
Like I had mentioned above, I have been in the craft room, re-orgazning and oh my, I have a lot of work ahead of me.
So far I have done my paper scraps, 6x6 papers, 12x12 papers, card stock and stickers.
I told Kristy I was hoping to get my room completed by Friday.
She thought that was quite funny.
I hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

Centerpieces
Saturday was spent celebrating my friend Lynne's 50th birthday.
Her mom asked me if I could put together some inexpensive centrepieces for the event.
Knowing I never refuse a challenge….I accepted :)
I wanted to use teapots as my friend is an avid tea drinker.
But we couldn't find any really cute teapots.
So my second choice was watering cans in spring-like colours.
Look what was found!!!!
Are these cute or what?!?!
Keeping the cost down is another of my specialties…you know, since I am cheap and all, lol.
The ceramic watering cans were found at the second hand store and were under 2.00 each.
I then made some small tissue paper flowers and adhered them to some coffee stirring sticks and placed them in the containers after putting some easter grass in them.
Lynne's mom's plan was to give them away to the guests by picking numbers.
Turned out everyone wanted them, so her cousins just took them off the tables when they went, lol.
I am still getting used to having my new haircut.
I got 4+ inches cut and am still trying to move it out of the way.
Problem is, there is nothing to move, it is gone, lol.

Happy Easter
Just a quick post to wish you all a very Happy Easter.
These are some more pretty flowers a sweet lady gave me :)
Today I had my 3 daughters and their boyfriend and husband over for a yummy turkey dinner.
But in the early morning Wayne and I put on a Easter Egg hunt for Heather and Kristy…you are never to old for an egg hunt :)
And to prove my point, Ashley asked me to fill up these plastic eggs with treats and to put on an Easter Egg hunt for them all, after dinner.
Being that they are all adults…..I didn't make it easy, lol.
Now it is time for my favourite Sunday activity….watching The Walking Dead.
I am going to be so lost when this season is finished :*(
I hope you all had a wonderful day with your family :)

Kristy's 21st Birthday and her card
Today is my baby daughter's 21st Birthday.
Crazy right?!?!?
Time just goes by so fast.
Here she is..this photo is from a few years ago.
We enjoyed the day watching Grease and Tremors.
Had the family dinner at her restaurant of choice.
And lastly came back home for dessert and a few games of Thing in a Box.
Such a great time with my family :)
Here is the card I made for Kristy.
I had coloured up this Gorjuss girl image last year.
Kristy really like how she turned out and said this image, and how I coloured her up, looked like her.
So I saved it for her Birthday card.
I really like the ombre look of the purple background paper…even though most of it is covered up.
I also really like the teal paper with the banners….which again is mostly covered up, lol.
This is the Gorjuss girl "Fallen" that I coloured up with my Copic markers.
These images are so sweet.
I stamped this on one of the banners.
The inside of the card.
I like to use my index cards and decorate the inside of my cards.
See those sparkle flowers, I added to 2 of them to the front of the card…but forgot to take a photo.
I followed another MFT sketch challenge…look at me go with these challenges, teehee.
Here is the sketch I used.
If you want to check out their challenges just click on the link "MFT challenge"
I also did a quick video on this card :)
Clink on my link if you would rather watch it on my YouTube channel "Tracy's Treasures24"

Its a Good Day
Today was a really good day!!
Considering the last few days weren't, lol.
I had a test I had to get done…the tests came out good, but the prep for them…not so fun, lol.
So today really made up for that :)
A sweet lady brought me this pretty mini rose plant :)
I am doing a favour for her, so she brought me the plant AND these tulips :)
I was so surprised and feel so appreciated.
Then I had a tasty lunch :)
A toasted persian and some nice cold milk…yum.
If you want to know more about these tasty treats that originated in my home town..check out this link :) "Persian's"
I love to dip the the bottom or un-iced part of this tasty bit of paradise in the icing before eating..yum
I completed my wonderful day with a couple of my friends :)
Nothing better then fun times with friends.
Not only am I the smallest (shortest) one of my friends….I see that I am the palest as well, lol.
We decided to see Dead Pool.
It was pretty funny.
Not your typical super hero movie…which was good, since Super Hero movies aren't my favourite.
I did a bit of creating today though….I will share that with you on another post :)
I hope you all have a creative day :)

My Social Book
If you are on Facebook as much as I am..I just have to share this with you.
One day I was on Facebook and this "My Social Book" came on my newsfeed so I decided to check it out.
It gave me a sample of what my book would look like with all of the statuses I posted and the replies my friends had made.
It also had most (if not all) of the photos I had posted in the year that I choose.
I have to say I thought it was pretty neat…plus they had a promotion going on.
If you know me, then you know that I am NOT an on-line shopper.
But this looked so cool!!
So I picked my year, all of 2015.
It was such an impulse buy…another thing I don't do.
What got into me that day?!?! lol.
It wasn't until later that I realized I wanted a different cover than what they choose for me.
But it was too late to change it.
Well actually, I may have been able to change it, but the promo code was only for that day.
And with our time change, the support guy didn't get back to me until the next day.
Plus I screwed up and deleted my credit….which he fixed, lol.
Support guys probably just shake their head when they finish dealing with me, lol.
Today I order my second book..all of 2014, as they have a 50% off promotion for 24 hours.
Just so you know…I am NOT affiliated with this company at all.
I just thought this was really cool.
It is like scrapbooking your Facebook pages without doing any work at all :)
Hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

New changes…not all good
I love this magazine.
I have every issue from their first one 10 yrs ago.
After I accumulate my scrapbooking magazine, I usually cut them apart and adhere the ideas I like, in my idea books.
But I never cut up my Canadian Scrapbooker Magazines.
I have the whole collection in order by date.
You know what I love about this magazine..
I love that it is a Canadian magazine.
I love that they feature Canadian artists.
I love that they share Canadian artist's craft areas.
I love that the quality of the magazine is high.
As you can see, I am proud to have a Canadian magazine featuring Canadians.
So I was very sad to see the name change from Canadian Scrapbooker to Creative Scrapbooker :(
The magazine is now sold internationally…so yeah!!!
But why the name change….Why…Be proud to be a Canadian magazine.
I wrote to them voicing my disappointment.
Whenever the new issue comes out, I run around town to find it….
But honestly, I'm not so excited to get the next issue :(
If you are on my Facebook, then you know that I lost all of my photos and movies on my laptop.
I couldn't access my iPhoto, so Wayne upgraded my laptop, which worked.
But I couldn't access my videos and I had over 25 unedited videos on there.
I asked him to remove the new upgrade, so I could edit my videos.
Well….. when he did that, it cleaned out my computer.
I lost all of my photos and videos from Jan 2015 to present.
It is like a new laptop…I lost everything!!
I lost all of the photos I took at Ashley bridal shower and her and Tyler's wedding:(
One good thing is that I had printed up those photos for an album I am making.
I also lost all of my Defunkifying my Life videos as well…all of them.
So I had a bit of a cry…and then moved on, lol.
Today we had a snow storm…just as I was starting to see grass poking out from the snow :(
I know Spring is coming..really it is!!!
I hope you all had a creative day :)

Janus' Baby Boy Card
Yup, another baby boy card :)
This one is for my daughter's friend Janus.
She is also having a baby boy :)
I used some old paper that I have been saving forever…like 15 yrs forever!!
Yes I am a hoarder of paper…but isn't this background paper so cute.
I used my friends button punch for the buttons.
Each button has 3 layers of paper. I adhered the paper buttons on top of each other so they would be more sturdy.
I then used some twine in the button holes and tied them.
Lastly, I popped them up with some foam dots.
The card was looking a bit plain to me.
No matter where I put the greeting, it just didn't look right.
So I added some half back pearls to some of the button centres in the pattern paper.
Here is the inside of the card.
I thought this onsie was fitting for the button and baby pin theme of the paper.
It is a stamp and then I fussy cut it out of the pattern paper.
And my index card for the message.

New Baby Tristan's card.
Its the Year of the Boy I tell you.
Everyone who is going to have, or had a baby that I know of this year, are all having boys (4 so far this year).
Here is a card I made for my brother and his wife for my nephew Tristan :)
Unfortunately my brother and I live in different provinces, so not sure when I will be able to see this little cutie in person.
I think I need a new angle for my photos as these look a bit wonky to me, lol.
Here is the inside of the card.
You all know, I love to use these index cards inside my cards to write my messages :)
Look at me go, another card challenge!!!!
Here is the sketch that I used from the challenge going on at "Mojo Monday" :)
I made this card on Friday during my Friday Night Scrapbooking evening that I host at my house.
My friend forgot her project, so just used my leftovers to make a card very similar to the one I did here :)
Hope you all have a very Creative Day

Almost caught up
It is one from Angie Blom, she is such an amazing artist :)
I love when Crop & Create comes to my city and I get to chat with Angie.
I am still working in my journal or my Fauxbonichi.
When I get behind, I usually work from the most current date back.
I am almost caught up :)
Both of these gorgeous images are from Angie.
I started with some distress inks for my backgrounds and then stamped on my images.
I knew I didn't have much to journal about, so wanted to add some colour to my pages.
Even though my stamping wasn't perfect, I have learned to let it go....but only in this journal, lol.
Hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

Journal catch up.
I have been playing catch up...yet again.
I seem to always be working backwards instead of forward.
Some may think I have to much on my plate and that is why I feel like I am behind...but nope.
I just seem to be a big time waster...yup, I waste my time.
Today Wayne took the day off of work.
We did a few errands, went out for an early lunch, this was not a waste of time
then watched movies the rest of the day.
I worked on some pages in my journal while we watched tv, but also spent a lot of time on the computer checking out Pinterest.
I was going to edit and upload some of my videos to YouTube, but sadly I can't find them.
Wayne updated my laptop as my iPhoto wasn't working.
He fixed my iPhoto, but now with the updated version of iMovie, I have lost all of my movies..edited and non-edited.
I had over 25 videos that needed editing and to be uploaded to YouTube.
See what my procrastination brings me...sadness, lol.
We will keep trying to figure out my iMovie troubles.
And I will keep working on my procrastination as well :)
I really don't like change...especially technical change.
Hope you all have a creative day :)
