My feet are sore, but I'm loving it

We did the whole mall and more today. We were at Mall of America before it opened this morning. We started with one of Ashley's favourite stores..The Apple store. She needed a new battery for her Mac Book Pro. The only thing is that we went the wrong way and went all around the lower level to get to the store. Oh well she got her battery. Wayne was a bit miffed. I told him that he got his exercise and that he needed it. Sometimes he gets pissy. LOL

Who did we see none other than Sharky. If you ever see this guy don't make eye contact. He likes to follow you.
There was a Barbie store. I know my girls are way to old for this store but I went in. Barbie taught me why there were Ken's in this world, LOL. I remember I didn't have a Ken doll, so my brother Darrell made me one. He took my teen barbie and cut her hair and drew a mustache on her. I love Barbie and so did my girls and their cousins when they were younger. They would make a whole Barbie town.
Oh you ask did I make it to Archiver's? You bet I did. We save that store for last. That way everyone is so tired from doing the whole mall that they just sit and relax while I spend my time (about 1 hour) in bliss. I had printed out coupons before we came here, so I would call each one in one at a time to use a coupon. It was only 30% off but that's better than nothing. I also got a card making kit for free and 3 sheets of card stock. NICE. I guess I spent enough money, actually I think I should have got 3 or 4 free kits LOL.
After the mall we went to Perkin's for supper. Then Wayne had a little temper so we brought him back to the hotel and the girls and I went to Burnsville mall.
That was my day folks. Tomorrow I am planning on going to Joann's (I have never been there before) and a Local Scrap booking store called Scrapbookstoo that is around here somewhere.
Hoping your Tuesday was as fun as mine...but less costly LOL

We made it safe and sound...well safe.

Well we left the house at 7:00am. I call my hubby the "The Time Nazi" as when he says we are leaving at 7:00am is exactly 7:00am. Not 7:05, Not 7:01, it is 7:00. It drives me crazy.
It us about 6.5 hours to get here. He let us stop for a couple pee breaks and a very quick brunch.
You know the saying "Its not the destination, it's in the journey". Well my hubby doesn't see it that way. He hates to stop, he thinks he is in a race. And is so proud if we get here earlier than the last time. Drives me bonkers.
Well anyway hubby got us here safe and sound. We got to stop for pee breaks, he didn't make us pee in our pop cans this time, LOL, just kidding.
First stop Cabela's. Hubby's favorite store. Here are the girls posing with a wooden bear outside the store. I won't show the picture of Ashley getting too friendly with the bear. I didn't put a warning on my blog for adult only content, LOL. I am sure you can use your imagination and you would probably be correct.

I found some scrapbooking supplies at Cabela's. Hubby said only you could find some scrapbooking paper at an outdoor store. I found some nice outdoor paper. They had these cute fishing and hunting charms. And I thought these ammo boxes might work for my mini alphabet stamps. Hubby also bought me a rain jacket. It is a pretty rose colour.
We went to Target for pop and munchies and I found these on the sale. The paper stack was only 3.87, The large stamps were 2.32, The mini stamps were 1.49, and the apoxy letter stickers were .87 SCORE.We then went and checked in. I had a coupon so the rooms were 54.00 for the girls room and 45.00 for our room. Plus I have a card that gets punched each time we stay here. I was up to 10 stays so I got one night free. Another SCORE.
After we checked in we went to the Burnsville Mall. Girls bought a few things. I bought this shirt. It looks green in the light (bad hotel light) but it is more blue and black.

Lastly we went to Micheal's. I know we have one at home, but the prices at home are almost twice the price. I got Kristy to print me 5 coupons on the Internet so I got to use my 40% off coupons to boot. Major Score. Here is the breakdown....

Martha punches @home=27.99 ...here= 17.99 ...40% off= 10.79
Tacky Tape 1/2"@home= 8.49....here= 4.99....40% off= 2.99

T Holtz key holes @home 13.49..here=7.99..didn't use a coupon

T Holtz Word Keys @home 16.99..here=9.99 40% off=5.99

Another Major SCORE.

That was my fun filled day. And I haven't even walked through the doors of Archiver's yet. Oh Boy can't wait until tomorrow. I am so excited I am almost peeing in my pants, oh oh where is that pop can, teehee.

One more sleep.

Today was spent cleaning the house.
We are going to Minneapolis tomorrow. So I had to totally clean the house before we leave. I have to do this every time we go away. I say its because I like to come home to a clean home, but the truth is, if something happens to us when we are gone I don't want anyone coming into my home and saying I was a bad house keeper. My daughters think that I am a nut job, but that is how my mind thinks.
I also helped Ashley. She had to make 100 invitations for a Founders Celebration for her placement. She had to design the invitations. Then we cut them out and the coloured card stock, and adhered them to the scallop paper. Ashley is like me as she had to give it a little extra something. So she made a belly band and put the tickets for this advent on the belly band. She also embossed the belly band with my cuttle bug.
We had a few problems. I bought new glue sticks, and they suck! Not only do they not stick they seem oily. So I used my ATG.
They turned out good.
Hubby and I ran to Michael's. I wanted to jot down some prices of some items I have my eye on. I am hoping that they are cheaper down in the States. Which we all know they will be.
I am so pumped about going on our trip. I just can't wait. One more sleep and we are off early in the morning.

Alice what a silly girl

Today was a pretty good day. It started off with me sleeping in..See told you it was a pretty good day.
Then Heather, Kristy and I went to see Alice in Wonderland. When I was younger this story always freaked me out. I think it was the animation. Plus Alice wasn't the brightest, "Drink this" and she did, "Eat this" and she did. She didn't rebel or anything. I couldn't relate. Ya I had some trust issues growing up LOL.
I really enjoyed this movie, so did my girls.

Then when we came home Heather reminded me that I told her that I would take up her pants. Well she had 4 pairs. That is the problem with being tiny you have to take everything up or in. Heather is taller than me, that's not hard to do mind you, with me being 4' 11". Heather said "Why did you have to be so short mom". Like I had a choice. I told her its in the genes...get it jeans. Ya she didn't think it was funny either.
Since I had my sewing machine out, I figured that I would finish my purse that I started before Christmas.
I finished it. At least I finished something. I altered the pattern as I wanted it smaller. The front pocket holds my cell phone. Barely.
I hate cell phones, I really do. The only reason why I have one is for company business. And I don't even give out my number teehee. Mind you if the phone was taken away I would probably miss it.

Ok back to the purse. Here is the inside of my purse. I love it because it has pockets inside it. I love that it keeps everything neat. Here it is packed ready to go on our trip. Wallet (with all my American money :)), Our passports (can't cross the boarder without them), note pad with prices for stuff I want, my camera (the red thingy), a pen, lip gloss and our travel insurance. Oh I can't wait to go.

We are going to Mall of America..if anyone knows of any scrap booking stores around that area, I would love to know.

That was my Saturday. Hope yours was as enjoyable as mine.
Oh ya don't forget to spring ahead 1 hour tonight

I should have stayed in bed

You ever wake up in the morning and soon realize that you should have stayed there. Well that was my day today. Here is how I looked this morning LOL. No but is how I felt. (This is an app. on hubby's IPhone.)

But seriously I was making my Shredded Wheat (I call them Wheatabegga's). The big ones. I run them under hot water then drain them while holding them with my spoon so they don't fall in the sink. After all these years of successfully achieving this. This morning I wasn't so successful. 1 and 3/4 of them landed in the sink. As I reached over to turn off the water, my robe sleeve went under the tap and the hot water ran down my sleeve to my elbow.

I went to go into the bedroom to get something and ended up opening the linen closet door, wondering why I was in here.
Went to put the milk away, into the microwave.
Charged company office supplies to my personal credit card. The nice lady at Staples fixed that for me though.
I am not sure if I fully finished a sentence today. I would be in the middle of a sentence and just stop talking and walk away. Well in my defense I did finish the convo in my head.
Ya I should have stayed in bed.

Here are a couple of pictures Ashley took of her friend Lisa. She loves when I brag about her.
If you want to see more of my daughter Ashley's pictures you should go to her flicker site. http://www.flickr.com/photos/alempiala/ You can comment on her photos. She thrives on it LOL.

My SIL Sharon came over and we scrap booked tonight. She made a card and guess what I did? You guessed it, I worked on Kate's mini album. I am so close to finishing it.

Here is to the weekend. Hope you all have a good one.

Lost and never to be found.

I still haven't found my ink pad. The one that is like 12" long and about 2" high.
Is it any wonder though, really. I am going to do something that most don't show. My messing scrap/craft room. Everyone else won't let us peek into their rooms until it looks perfect. Everything lined up and colour coded.
Ya I wish mine looked like the ones in the magazines. But seriously, once I start creating I can't keep up with putting stuff away. I think I have a 3x3 area to work on LOL.
Oh you think that that is bad, here is my floor. I have to walk over that to get out of my room. Ya I have almost tripped. That lower cabinet is where I emboss and stamp. I have a little bit of a bigger area than on my table. Not much though.

Every Friday night my SIL and sometimes my girlfriend come over to scrap. So guess what I am doing tomorrow. Making room. I seem to take over even when they are over. We all start with the same size area to work in. But I slowely take over their space as well.

I worked on my (or I guess I should call it Kate's) mini album. I am not quite done it yet. Hopefully tomorrow. I want to get it done by Monday as we are going to the States. Ya hoo, Archiver's here I come. Hubby even printed me out some coupons.

Poor Kristy isn't feeling very well. She went to bed at about 7:00. I am not feeling up to par either, I have been very tired. I took 2 naps today. If we get sick I hope we do it soon. I am not missing this shopping frenzy..I mean family trip.

Here is to Thursday the day before Friday.

How much fun can you have with a dollar

How much fun can you have with a dollar? Hubby and I had to go out today, Ashley didn't have placement so she wanted to come. During our travels we came across those gumball machines and I got some Ike and Mikes. Wayne noticed one that said "Disguises, Trick your Friends". Knowing what a ham Ashley is Wayne gave her a buck and told her to get one.

Luckily I had my camera with me teehee. This girl cracks me up. All 3 of my girls are funny and get me laughing everyday.

One last one. LOL.

Ashley and her friend Lisa are going to do another photo shoot tomorrow. So they have come up with different outfits. Lisa wanted Ashley to have some old tattered up jeans. So she took an old pair of jeans and distressed them. She used my craft knife and yes that is what that is...a grater. LOL.
Well it did the job.

Also during our travels we just happened to run into Michael's.
Funny how that happens. teehee. Hubby saw this T-shirt and picked it up. Well actually he picked up a pink one that said "Scrapbookin Queen", but they only had large sizes. This one is a medium, which is still to big, but he so wanted me to have one.
What a sweetie eh? I had a few coupons so he got 40% off.

Here are a few things I picked up today. We also went to the dollar store, Walmart (I never go there) but Ashley was looking for pretty rubber boots, for her photo shoot.
I also went to my LSS. I bought some Glimmer Mist. I have one bottle. It is Pearl. I couldn't understand why everyone was so excited about this product. So I thought that I would give it another try. I went to my LSS and picked up Wild Current.

Here are the butterflies and the paper flowers. I picked them both up from the dollar store. They came in the white/cream colours. I sprayed them with the glimmer mist.
Now I know why everyone loves this stuff.
To quote the old lady from "Frank's Red Hot" commercial......"I'm going to put this sh1t on everything!"
I love it. Now I am going to have to buy everything in white or cream and get me some different colours of glimmer mist.
So what else did I do today? Got my dad groceries, then went and visited him. Had to go to A,J's to sign some papers. We were out most of the day. I did get to work on my mini, but only for about an hour. And we know that isn't very long, especially when you spend over half that time looking for your supplies. I still haven't found my ink....it is in a container that is like 12" long. Urgg.
Hope your Wednesday was enjoyable.
