Today is Valentines day, but Wayne and I are more excited about the new episode of the Walking Dead!!!
With that in mind, here is the Valentines Day card I made my honey ;)
Wayne surprised me this morning with some flowers and chocolate.
He isn't big on flowers...jewellery, yes, flowers not so much.
I was pretty surprised when I saw him come in with flowers today.
He told me, I figured it has been about 28 years since I last gave you flowers, I thought it was due time, lol.
Actually the first time he had given me flowers was when he proposed and the ring was in one of the roses.
He has got me flowers a couple of times in our 33 yrs together, but today's flowers surprised me more then when he proposed to me, lol.
I hope you all have a wonderful and creative Valentines Day :)
We are having a Walking Dead marathon before the new episode starts....perfect day!!
Tracy :)

Scrappy Adventure....Day 3
Today was another fun crafty shopping day.
First stop…back to Pine City Scrapbooking :)
Look they have their own pattern paper with their store name on it..sooooo cool!!
These were my purchases from the first day we went to Pine City Scrapbooking on Monday.
I found a few fun Prima stamps and those stamps at the bottom "Great Impressions" so so cute :)
Now onto Todays goodies :)
I came across this fun Tim Holtz file book. They had one already put together in a Autumn theme, so cute. Plus it was under $5.00..bonus.
I just had to grab a couple of these fun Pine City Scrapbooking papers, I have many happy memories there and equally as many photos.
Nabbed this cute Pima Christmas stamp set.
You all know I couldn't pass up these zombie papers….how Awesome!!!!
I made a mini album of Ashley's "Night of the Living Dead" photo shoot, but haven't done any 12x12 pages…this paper is Perfect for that.
Here is the mini album I did, if you would like to check it out "Night of the Living Dead" mini album.
I just fell in love with this pretty paper by Bo Bunny called Primrose.
I had to get double sheets as both sides were equally beautiful.
I also picked up the sticker sheet and cutouts.
I figured out I might as well pick out some matching card stock and make a kit out of it all.
We then stopped off at the Walmart here.
Oh look, I found some more paper and washi tape ;)
Remember this is a non-judging blog ;)
Everyone kept telling us that we needed to get a cinnamon bun from Tobies.
I can not tell you how delicious these were.
I think I may pick up a few to share with the family when I get home ;)
When we got back to the hotel, we decided to head to the breakfast room/lobby and do some colouring.
The lighting in our room is terrible, as you can tell by my haul photos.
Everyone who walked by us, stopped to see what we were doing and ask questions :)
Sharon had always told me she would never colour as she doesn't enjoy it.
Well guess what….she is colouring now, teehee.
I have been telling her about coloured pencils and using Gamsol (orderless mineral spirits) to blend…..yes I am such a enabler, teehee.
Sharon picked up some inexpensive artist grade coloured pencils and a smaller container of OMS.
We couldn't find a cheap glass container for the OMS, so we went the dollar store and picked up a sponge. The only container that had a tight lid was a jar of artichokes, lol.
So Sharon put the artichokes in a foam coffee cup with a lid, washed out the glass jar and added the OMS :)
See we are creative all around, teehee.
Thought I would share a couple of images that I had coloured up today.
I was showing Sharon how to blend with the OMS with her coloured pencils. This is the image I coloured up…isn't this just so cute?!
I brought my Copics, so figured I had better use them, teehee.
I have never used this colour combination on jeans before, but I really like it.
I tried to make the balloon transparent….I think it worked.
I am now watching Survivor as Sharon is out at the Casino trying to win back some crafty shopping money, teehee.
I hope you all had a Creative Wednesday :)

Happy Halloween and Octobers Tim Holtz Challenge tag
Happy Halloween.....aren't I pretty ;)
Yes that is me ;)
Ok, be prepared for a long, picture heavy post.
I have finally finished the Tim Holtz challenge tag for October.
I was so excited to do this tag, as I love everything to do with Halloween.
I had even made a sketch for this tag on October 1st. But if you know me, I am such a procrastinator, to the extent that I forget to do something.
That is what happened with October's Tag.
Do you like the zombie...that was an after thought, lol.
Here is the actual tag.
I was pretty excited as Tim's focus this month was using his Distress Glitter.
When I was on my last creative shopping trip, I made sure I picked up some black distress glitter, with this project in mind :)
I painted the chipboard, added glossy accent to adhere the Glitter.
It wasn't until I completed all this, that I realized I had Distress embossing powder....NOT distress glitter. I was pretty upset...but I think I made it work anyway.
The first tree and fence, I forgot to ink the chipboard with distress ink, before adding the glitter...or should I say embossing powder, as I bought the wrong stuff ;(
The second set I added the black distress ink before adding the embossing powder.
I like the second set more.
I used the Distress paint to colour the background of the tag.
I am still not getting the correct technique as Tim Holtz does...but I'm still figuring it out.
I do like how this did turn out though ;)
I wanted to make a moon for this tag.
So what I did was ink up some white paper with a distress ink that I thought would work.
Then I punched out a circle (which I discarded), then punched another circle, but only punched part of the paper, to get this half moon shape.
I wanted to use this piece of ribbon for the tag, as it has bats on it, but it was too bright. So I used a dark brown distress stain to darken the ribbon.
As I mentioned above, I purchased a distress embossing powder instead of the distress glitter.
Even though I did like look of the embossing powder, I wanted the glitter. So I added some black glitter glue onto the embossing powder to the fence.
I also stamped script writing to the background.
Those tiny bats were punched and then cut out of the Martha Stewart's fence punch.
Here is my tag...all done and finished.
But what kind of a zombie lover would I be not to add one to the October's tag, lol.
So what do you think...tag with or without the zombie?
Here is Kristy's pumpkin all carved out.
It is a tiger if you can't tell.
It was a very intricate design.
Here is Wayne's carved pumpkin.
It is a zombie hand coming out of the ground. The ground didn't show up in the photo that well.
I hope you all had a safe, warm and wonderful Halloween.
If you were lucky to get a bit creative as well ;)
