Friday Night Scrapbooking Begins!!!!

Tonight is FNS!!!
It seems like forever since I had my group of ladies here to scrapbook :)
To start the day off on the right creative foot, my friend Sharon, came by and picked me up for an early morning shopping trip to Michaels.

It is always an open invitation when I have these nights :)
I know a few ladies are squeezing in the last of their camping season.
Tomorrow is the start of hunting season, so that is why we always close up the cottage when we do.

Off to put away my new purchases and get the table ready for my friends.
I hope you all had a very Creative Day :)
Oh by the way…this is a card I had made a while ago, when I was on the LBBS Design Team. Click the link if you want more details on this card "Crafting with Miss Lilly" :)

Last Project for LBBS Design Team

Today is my last DT day for Little Blue Button Stamps.
My 6 month term with them is up....hard to believe 6 months came and went so fast.
Mind you it is hard for me to believe this is the last week of August :(
So for today's project I actually did 2 cards.

On this card I used the adorable image called Miss Lilly Sakura.
When my daughter Ashley went to Toronto a few weeks ago, she went to China Town and picked me up (not only my Fish Flops :) but also these red bags.
I thought they would go well with this image.

Here is a closer picture of this cutie.
She has flowers drawn into her hair, but I punched some flowers out of paper and adhered them to her hair and the corner of the card.

A closer look at these pretty bags that Ashley bought me. I also made a tag to put into the bag for an added note to the recipient.

Here are the Copic colours I used on this image. Because I paper pieced her dress I didn't use that many colours :)

Lastly the inside of my card.
I like the inside to be just as pretty as the outside. I really like this paper with the writing on it. I thought the parasol paper was perfect for this image as well.

I made a second card for today.
Olga (the designer of LBBS) have these girls as a Free digi to practice your colouring or to record some of your favourite hair and skin combinations.
I decided to colour them up and put them on a card.
My daughters like to give flowers to their aunt and I thought they could give her this card as well. I coloured the images up to match my girls daughter's colour :)

Because today is my last DT day for LBBS, I thought I would do a creative walk down memory lane and share all the cards I have made with Olga's images.
Hope you enjoy :)

Wow, there are a whole lot of cards I have made with Olga's images.
If you want to see more of Olga's images, check out LBBS, she creates new images monthly :)
I just want to say Thank you to Olga for asking me to join her DT 6 months ago. It was a pleasure to colour up these adorable images and get to work and become friends with the other DT members :)

Onto My Day:
If you are still with me, lol.
I went to a card class with my friend Debbie. It was through Close to my Heart. We made 5 cards for $5.00. It was fun.
The lady that was teaching this class, is moving to Germany, so she was selling some of her goodies. I picked up 5 idea books :)

I hope you all had a creative Wednesday :)

Design Team Day for LBBS..Miss Lily with Net

Today is my Design Team day for Little Blue Button Stamps (LBBS)
Well I used that image from the other day.
I was so excited to use one of Olga's awesome images for July (we could have shared them today), but I ran out of time, with running my sister around town, and then Kristy with her Prom.
So I used the image I coloured up the other day.
Miss Lily with hoop net.

Here is a closer look at this cutie :)
I coloured her up with my Copics, but forgot to put the markers aside...and here I was doing so good at that.

I used the paper pack from Graphic 45's Song Bird.
Honestly this wasn't one of my favourite paper packs of theirs, but I really do like how the papers worked with this card.
I was planning on using the dark paper with the butterfly background as the main focus on this card, and Miss Lily popped so nicely on it as well.
Funny how things change as you create ;)

I also used this sketch from MFT Wednesday's Stamp club.

Again here is the card so you can see how I used the sketch :)

I hope you all had a creative Friday :)

Colouring cause I want to.

I felt like colouring tonight.
I was busy most of the day, but tonight as we sat down to watch some telley I really wanted to get out my Copics.
This is a Little Blue Button Stamps image.
It isn't my DT day, but I just wanted to colour up this cutie.

I have no idea what I am going to do with her.
I was thinking of putting her in my planner, as I printed her off pretty tiny, about 2.5".
I may put a card stock mat behind her and punch holes to put her in the rings of my planner.
Here is a closer look at her.
Why is it when I take a close up photo and not until I upload it do I find the flaws in my colouring?

Look what greeted me this morning when I went to check the mail.
A lunar moth.
This one looks like he just nearly escaped being breakfast as his tail has been chomped on.

Onto My Day:
I did a bit more cleaning today.
Had to take Kristy for a follow up about the headaches she has been getting.
I think the doctor was correct in saying it was her sinuses as she has only had 3 headaches since she was there after taking the medicine he prescribed.
I also got him to take a look at Kristy's hand. When she was at her friends house last night, their dog bit her. I was not impressed. Even though Kristy made light of it. The doctor said it looks fine and should heal up nicely.

Heather has been watching Hannibal and wanted Wayne and I to check it out.
The girls are always getting Wayne and I to watch the shows they enjoy.
I like it, not sure if I love the characters yet, but I think its worth the watch so far.

I hope you all had a creative Wednesday :)
Do you create just for the fact/fun of creating?
Or do you need a purpose in order to create?
