Today is my husband Wayne's 50th Birthday :)
Now you would think that being such a special day we would have a big celebration.
If you thought that….then you don't know my Wayne.
He is a very private and shy guy.
So he didn't want a party, he didn't want a fuss and he only wanted to have our daughters and I to celebrate his day with him.
He was so adamant about not having a party, that he didn't tell me until the last minute where he wanted to go for his birthday dinner, in fear of me setting up a big get together at the restaurant, lol.
Ashley came over in the afternoon and we presented Wayne with his gifts.
We put together this large gift basket with all the things he loves.
Lots of movies, video games, popcorn, pop, Walking Dead glasses and we even got him a few treats.
With our eating clean we haven't had any treats. but we picked him up some black licorice (yuck), liquorice allsorts (yuck) and even a chocolate bar.
Here are our beautiful girls at the restaurant.
Love these girls to pieces :)
I had chicken and a twice baked potato for supper.
Heather had a chicken caesar salad.
The other 3 all had steak.
We all enjoyed our meals.
We also had calamari for an appetizer…yumm.
I hope you all had a creative day today and I am sure a lot of you are watching the Superbowl tonight.
We are watching a marathon of the Walking Dead here ;)
Tracy :)

Happy 50th birthday, Wayne :) and yay for Internet again! Our provider decided to change the terms of our unlimited data plan mid contract thus my temporary absence so now it's catch up time :) your celebration sounds like our kind of celebration - warm, cozy and just perfect. Enjoy! :)

ReplyDeleteHappy BIG 50 Wayne, It looks like a great celebration. What a great gift basket. Video games keep you sharp, black licorice is yummy in moderation. It does raise blood pressure. I struggled out 2 cards.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great way to spend a birthday, hope he enjoyed his day!

Happy Birthday to Wayne! Sounds like you had a lovely day and he handled things just right to avoid the dreaded "surprise." I'm going to use that trick as he and I have something in common this year :-)

ReplyDeleteHappy 50th Birthday Wayne. I can understand about the no party bit. Andy turns 50 in May and he won't have a party either - but we will celebrate on our West coast trip in July. :-) Hope Wayne had a fabulous day.
