Its all Bull

Today Hubby went to Ottawa to go and look at this big boy.
He was in his glory. Not only did he buy this bulldozer, it was his first time ever in an airplane.
Wayne and his dad left early this morning and then go home at 7:30pm.
Now he has the travel bug.
Kristy and hubby were talking about maybe next year we will go to Hawaii.
Hubby said to Kristy "Its expensive but that doesn't matter."
I piped up "Yes it does!"
Then he then turns to Kristy, "We're gonna have to leave mom at home". LOL.

Onto my day:
Nothing fun for me.
The Brick guy came to repair the chair that my dad left me. I was shocked he phoned, because when I phoned them that it needed to be repaired and that there was a 5 yr warranty on it. The Brick told me that the warranty is void because my dad had passed away.
What! So you don't warranty the product but the person who bought it.
So I was surprised that he phoned to come and check it out.

Then I had another migraine. This one was different, not only did I lose some of my vision, I also had funky rainbow colours on my left side of my sight.
I swear I just took some aspirin, not LSD, lol.

I am trying to get as much work done tonight, as it is month end, and I have my angiogram tomorrow. My SIL, Janice, is going to take over for me. But I just feel bad, so I want to do as much as I can to make it easier for her.

Since I will be on my back pretty much for the next couple of days, I am going to be plugged into the Internet all day :)
Maybe I can finish the book I am reading as well. Yes I am still reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Don't think I will be reading the second one. I know most loved this book. But if it takes me half the book to finally get into it. Nah....to many better books out there to enjoy.

Hope you had a creative day

Sweet Friends

Today was a happy mail day :)
I received mail from two cricut queens.
Schell sent me these cutouts she made for a mini I want to make for one of my daughters. I was going to put up a video but YouTube is being difficult.
Are these not the cutest. The silver is metallic. So neat.
She also made me this pretty card :)
Love the fun spring colours.
Thanks Schell.
I also received another surprise. Stacy from Love that Bug sent me this card.
How sweet is she.
Oh I just love happy mail. I am just blown away by how thoughtful and caring you ladies are.
Well Hubby didn't catch the skunk. But he did catch one of those mutant squirrels.
He was so proud.
But then I went to take this photo, and the poor thing was so scared. Kept chirping away, gathered all this grass in the trap to try and hide under. It just broke my heart........so...... I let it out.
Kristy didn't want me to, as she thought daddy would be angry with me.
LOL. Ya right, he never gets mad at me ;)

When I let it go, it took off like a bat out of hell. Then he ran up the fence, looked at me and started chirping at me.
I was like "Hey, if it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be here right now buddy. So go and warn your friends. And tell them to stay out of our yard and bird feeder"!
Kristy just shook her head. I don't know why, I talk to everything. lol.

Onto My Day:
I spent most of my morning at the hospital waiting for some pre-tests I needed to get done before my angiogram on Wednesday. I needed blood work, ECG and a chest x-rays.
Yup 3 hours of my day I won't get back. But I did get to read my novel.
I also saw 2 childhood friends there. My one friend was waiting for her husband, so we sat and chatted for a while.
You know your getting old when you run into your ol' friends at the hospital or at the clinic, lol. And here I thought 43 was still young ;)

Hope you had a creative day today.

Look at all the Pretty colours

Oh how I miss thee.
I haven't coloured in awhile. I keep meaning and wanting to, but have other things on my to do list.
Do you ever put off doing something because you don't think you're as good as others.
There are so many wonderful images coloured so beautifully. That I should be practicing mine.
Today was pretty laid back.

News on the skunk front....Hubby put out the new skunk trap. Our unwanted guest didn't even try our gourmet treats.
Hmmmmm maybe he just left on his own ;)
Ya, I doubt it.

Hope you all had an excellent weekend, and got to create :)

One smart Stinker

Are you getting tired of the sneak peeks?
It seems like I have been working on this project forever. And the thing is, I keep adding to it. I have to just finish it up and pack it up. That way I won't keep tweaking it. :)
My plan was to work on the cover all day today.
Well I sparkled one part of it the other day. When I pulled the piece out, it was so sparkly, that it triggered a migraine. So I painted over the sparkles, lol.
When I get a migraine not only do I get a headache I also lose some of my sight.
So I couldn't work on it all day, as I couldn't see properly.

Here is the view from my backyard tonight.
Funny thing is the sky is a dark storm-like grey/blue and the trees are a bright green.
Wish my photo would have turned out better as it was so beautiful.
If you are wondering about my unwelcome guest living under my work shop.
Last night hubby put out the live trap. I can't believe this, it took the goodies but didn't get trapped.
Hubby thinks that the skunk (if that is what it is) was to big and so the door didn't close and Stinker just backed out of it.
If you follow my blog you know how Hubby loves to shop. So he went to Canadian Tire and purchased a bigger live trap.
Hubby doesn't know the word Defeat. lol.

Hope you had a creative Saturday.

Welcome....you little stinker

I know when I am defeated
I give up. Welcome to my backyard my friend...Welcome.
And being the gracious host that I am I even put out some pretty flowers at its entrance.
You guessed it the skunk is here to stay.
I am thinking its a skunk. We haven't seen it yet.
Hubby is putting out his live trap as we speak. But I wouldn't be surprised if the sneaky bugger takes the treats without even getting into the trap.

Onto My Day:
Had a doctors appointment this afternoon. It was just a GP. I have had sore knees for years, now my hands are sore in the morning. Well he finally took x-rays, and took more blood. No wonder I am low on iron, every doctor I see wants my blood, lol.
As it turned out my, whatever levels, are a bit high for rheumatoid arthritis. Fun, joy, wonderful.
My dad (step dad) had this and had twisted joints and had both knees replaced. Like I said I am on the low readings so not to worried. Just something else to chalk up on my list. LOL.

I brought Heather and I home Wendy's for lunch. I really like the Apple Pecan Salad. So good. Even though Kristy says it tastes like fart, lol.

I ran to my local book binding store, as I was looking for some different colours of binding tapes. Not only did the lady give me some more tape. She also gave me their cut off pieces of book board (thick chipboard). I was so giddy. She said they just throw them in the recycles or trash. She told me to come by every couple of weeks and they will just give them to me.
I think the double double from Tim Horton's helped ;)

I got to create today. I am stumped right now on my project. I thought I had it all figured out. But the last part is giving me trouble. Hopefully I will dream about it tonight and it will go smoothly tomorrow.
Sharon is in the States so we didn't get our Friday Night scrap booking in. I think it has come to an end for the season. As we don't do it in the summer because we go to camp almost every weekend.
We would have gone this weekend, but Hubby is working again.

I hope you all had a creative day today.
To my American friends hope you have a wonderful long weekend :)
For my Canadian friends hope you have a wonderful regular weedend :)

Another sneak, and a super strong skunk

Here is a peak at a project I am currently working on. It is going to take me awhile to finish this one.
I was in the scrap/craft room most of the day.
I put on my DVD of past seasons of House and got down to work. I loved it. Plus it kept me from taking a nap today :)
Nope not going to tell you what it is. You are going to have to stay tuned for this one.
Like I said I hate sneak peeks, but it is fun to tease, lol.
I picked Kristy up from school during her spare. She phoned me and was bored and hungry. So whats a mom to do, but pick up my poor baby :)
When she came home we made tuna croissants. She wanted some cookies, so she made a batch from scratch. She does this a lot. When she went to get the brown sugar out of the cupboard, someone forgot to put a tie on the mini marshmallows.
It looks like hail all over my kitchen floor, teehee.
I forgot to share a conversation I had with my Hubby yesterday at the dinner table.
I told him I needed a favour from him. He has to go outside in front of my work shop and piss around the skunk hole.
He looked at me like I had 2 heads.....actually he looks at me like that quite a bit, hmmmm.
I told him that my bloggettes told me that it works to make the skunk go away.
He said to me, If I do this your going to blog about it aren't you.
I told him, well I won't post pictures if you don't want me too ;)

Now I won't tell you if he did it or not, but if he did, the skunks must love his scent. Because they really wanted to get under there. It moved this huge heavy cement block.
I think it is a loosing battle.
Time to make that Welcome sign.
Thankful Thursday:
I did my morning walk. It has been 2 full weeks now :)
That I got to spend the day in my scrap/craft room.
Unpacked from the long weekend of scrapping.
Kristy's awesome salad she made for supper.

What are you thankful for today?

Sneak Peek at a mini and a pepper licker

I thought that I would show you a sneak peek at a project I have been working on.
I really don't like sneak peeks as I like to see the whole project :) But you get what you get :)
The photo is a tad muted.
I made the tiny pink flowers, but the large green flower I received in some blog candy from Marie Clair.
I added some sparkle on the bodies of these butterflies.
I was hoping to work on this some more today, but I just seemed to drag my arse all day.
I tidied up the house a bit. I caught up on some book work.
I really wanted to go for a nap, but I forced myself not to. But I am going to bed really early tonight, lol.

I just need to vent here for a minute.
Kristy, Wayne and I ran to the grocery store after supper.
What is wrong with parents today. Parents and adults in general.
There was a boy playing with the peppers, every single one of them. Then he started huffing on them. I saw the parents and other adults just looking at him. Hello is anyone going to say anything?
Then....prepare yourself...he started licking the peppers. The kid was licking the peppers!!! Seriously?!?
So I go up to the kid and tell him that is disgusting and to stop it. Which he did.
I wonder if he would have ran his tongue the length veggie isle, if I didn't stop him.
No one else said anything.
Now the moral of the story...wash your fruit and veggies before you eat them. Just think of a snotty nosed little kid licking your veggies, lol.

Hope you had a creative Wednesday.....it is Wednesday right Schell. Teehee.

Spring is Here, and so is my Visitor

Spring is here to stay, it really is...hope I didn't jinx it.
This was the first May long weekend that it didn't snow. It rained, that I could handle.
With all the rain, some of my flowers came up :)
I was so impressed with this photo I took that I made it my desk top :)
ITS BAAACK.  The skunk is back.
The little bugger dug a hole beside the big block I put in its way. As you can see it some how moved the nail board.
So tonight, when it is hopefully out of there looking for grubs (or what ever the hell it eats) I will put another block beside this one and jam the nail boards all around it.
I seriously hope it hasn't had its babies yet.
If this doesn't do the trick, then I am going to make a welcome sign, place it above the hole and hope they enjoy their stay under my work shed.
I know when I am defeated, lol.
My list for today was a long one.
My checked off list..was a short one.
Kristy wanted me to take her to the mall on her spare. I really didn't want to...but ofcourse I caved.
I did tidy up a bit today. But I haven't unpacked my supplies from the weekend.

I hear blogger is having problems with posting comments lately. I hope not as I plan to check out blogs for the rest of the evening :)

Proud Tuesday:
Did my walk this morning.
Spent part of the afternoon with Kristy.
Did a couple of things on my Todo list.
That is about it, and I had to scrape to put up those :)

So what have you done today to make you feel proud?

Girls Weekend has come to an End :)

I am so glad that I packed up the jeep last night.
Everyone thought I was nuts packing up so late last night. But it stopped raining, and I knew we had to get going early as Heather had to go to work and grease the trucks today.
Well we woke up to heavy fog and rain.
Now who's the smart one ;)
Like I said Heather had to work today, so we left at about 10:00.
Drove home dropped off our bags.
Then Heather and I drove to the Pit so she could grease the trucks.
Wayne was out there bulldozing, so he would come to the main plant "Pit" and drive the dump trucks and tandems into the garage for Heather to grease. It was so wet out side so that is why he brought them in the garage for her. She usually just greases them outside.

That's about all for today. If you want see how my weekend was I back posted :)
Now we are waiting for the season finale of House.

Hope you all had a creative, wonderful weekend.

When it rains it pours.

I worked on my mini album all day today, and finished all the pages. But I can't show you it yet.
So I will show you the Window Envelope Pocket with Tags that I made yesterday.
I am going to make so many of them that I started to do it assembly style.
I am really liking how they are turning out.
Here are all the cards Sharon made this weekend. She also put together a 2 page scrapbook layout.
Sharon has her Christmas cards made for the next 2 years.

Ashley came back to camp this morning. We told her we missed her, so she came back ;)

We went for a short walk today. As we were heading out, Sharon noticed that her back tire was completely flat. I told her that we could phone CAA, as I have it. Then I thought she should have it as well as you got it free when you purchase a new vehicle. So I phoned for her, and yup she had it also.
So they sent a guy to come and change the tire. Well it started to pour. By the time the guy got to camp, there were streams of water running in the driveway. Put it this way...the guy wasn't to happy.

We watched Tangled before bed, which was about 1:00 am.

Another creative day. Hope yours was:)

So happy the World didn't end, I was having to much fun :)

Here are the Window Envelope Pockets with Tags that I made on Friday night.
I just used my scraps. When I mean scraps I don't mean, oh look at this paper I forgot I had. I mean papers that were put in my scrap folders :) Boy it felt good to use them.
I am impressed, as I usually don't start creating the first night until about 10:30 at night.
Also on Friday we cleared some branches in the driveway so when Ashley came she could park. Sharon said her husband was suppose to do this 3 yrs ago.
Whenever Wayne and I go to their camp we seem to always light a fire under their butts to get them working around their camp...humm maybe last year thats why they went on vacation and we didn't end up making it up there, lol.  Well except for girls weekend that is.
Here is my daughter Heather chillaxin Saturday afternoon.
Kristy wanted her hair coloured. So Sharon heated up the steambath, for some hot water, and Ashley coloured it. It sure took a lot of buckets of water to wash that colour out.
Ashley went home after supper, she wanted to see her boyfriend. She needs a few lessons on Girls Weekend I guess, lol.
I came to the silly idea that I should make these for everyone who signed up for my swap. Ya I am a bit crazy, lol.

Sharon and I went to bed after 2:00am. I was determined to finish the tags I was working on, I made 15 more of them.
When I went to bed Kristy was just finishing up her video game.

Hope you're having a creative weekend.

Off to create all weekend long :)

Well we are off to Sharon's camp, I am so excited.
Ashley has to work, but is getting off a couple hours early and will meet us up there. She doesn't want to drive alone, so Kristy is going to go with her.
I think it is a 45 minute drive, not like the 2 hour drive to our camp/cottage.
Only in Ontario do you find people who are surrounded by country, to drive hours to their camps/cottages, lol.
This is the view from their living room window. This was taken from their front deck last year. Our beautiful Lake Superior.

I won't have Internet access at her camp so I won't be around blog land for awhile.
How will I survive...Guess I will have to make another card or two, to pull me through, teehee.
I will however back post.
Because my blog is also my online journal I like to document my everyday. And because I am anal, I feel like I can't miss a day. So I back post ;)

Hubby is home alone this weekend. He is going to bulldoze at work. Ya he thinks that's fun, lol.
I envy him though. I can only dream of having a weekend with the house to myself. I would feel like I was 16 again living on my own. Well except with better food, cable and Internet, lol.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend :)

Tracy

P.S. I have been replying to some of your comments through emial. I am just wondering if you are getting them. If I see a message from you that I would like to comment back to personally, I hit my reply key in my emial.
Just wondering if you are getting them :)

How much is too much ;)

Is this to much for a weekend?
I am going to my SIL, Sharon's camp for the long weekend. We have been having this girls weekend for probably over 10 yrs. My 3 daughters, Sharon and I all head up to her camp and scrapbook all weekend.
I thought that I would be packing light this year. I was going to colour some images and make some cards and work on my Window Envelope Pockets for the swap.
I see that didn't work out that way.
Oh ya besides the Coca-Cola everything else is scrap related. I haven't packed clothes or food yet, priorities ;)
Early this afternoon, Heather and I went to the Blue Parrot for our last meal there. We went at 11:30 as I knew it would get busy with it closing its doors this Sunday.
It was packed by the time we left. There were people at the door waiting for a table.
We will sure miss this place.
Onto My Day:
Heather and I ran around all morning.
Picked Kristy up for lunch.
Made this VIDEO for my swap I am hosting...which took 3 times to finally download, or upload.
Packed all my scrapbooking supplies.

Proud Thursday:
Did my morning walk again :)
Got my daughters to wash the dishes :)
Made it to Blue Parrot for lunch.

Hope your Thursday was a creative one :)

Blue Parrot is closing, a sad day indeed :(

First off I want to thank everyone for their encouraging words from yesterday.
Wow I just kind of poured my heart out there didn't I, teehee.

Today I received some Happy mail from Patti :)
I love me some happy mail :)

I found out some sad news for our family today. The restaurant that we love so much is closing.
It is called the Blue Parrot. It is a family owned business, and has gone through a few generations. They had the best Hot Turkey Sandwich I have ever had.
In our family if it your birthday, you get to choose which restaurant to celebrate it at. Heather always picked The Blue Parrot, she loved their Chicken Cesar Salad.
We are running out of family owned restaurants :(
Guess where I'm going for lunch tomorrow :)

Onto My Day:
Took my walk :)
Checked on my FIL's wife's cat. They are away and asked if I could check on her.
Picked Kristy up from school as she has a spare after lunch, and was bored. I told you I am a push over, teehee.
Worked on Pea's mini most of the day. This mini is just kicking my butt. I think it is because the mini that Pea made for me was so stunning, I want mine to be equally as beautiful.
We should have put them in the mail at the same time :)

Hope you had a creative Wednesday :)

Its all about taking control....is that being Obsessive?

You may look at this and ask your self what is this?
It is my pedometer. I have a few of these around the house. I haven't worn one of these for a year or more.
You might look at this and say ya so, its a pedometer, no big deal.
To me it is more than that.
This is my tool to beat heart disease.
I have had heart disease for about 7 yrs (that I know of).
It all started with me feeling tired, and a bit out of breath when I came up the stairs.
Well I was getting older (37years old...really, lol). I wasn't in as good a shape as I was when I was younger. Yup, I just made excuses.
Went for a yearly check up. Doctor asks me if anyone had ever told me I had a heart murmur?
I asked him, is that why it feels like I have butterflies in my chest sometimes.
He was a bit concerned...and made me go to a specialist.
Here is where my story starts...I went for every test you can think of.
Diagnosis...Heart Disease.
I am a person that likes to be in control.
That year I lost all control. I found out I had other medical problems.
Plus a cyst was growing on my left ovary. By the time I got it removed I looked 6 months pregnant. They took out 1.5 liters of liquid and the mass. Thankfully it was non-cancerous.
There was a resident in the room during surgery and she said once they took the mass out...my tummy shrunk.  I do have before and after pics....I take pictures of EVERYTHING, lol.

Like I said I like to be in control. My sister reminded me of this ;)
So I needed to take control of my life.
So I got some journals from (where else but) Michael's and started on my mission.
On the top of each page I wrote this statement.
Then every day I would put on my pedometer and track my progress. My kids hated this as I clicked with every step, lol.
Now these numbers were in my peek of activity....plus it was summer :)
I would write down the day, How many steps I took, and how many miles this equaled (my one pedometer had this on it). The calories were also on a certain pedometer, guess it wasn't this one, lol.
In another book, I would write down my weight every day.
Again this was in my peak of activity.
Now don't be shocked with these numbers, I am a tiny person and I am not even 5' tall.
I would write down my weight, my fat and my water content. This was all programed on our scale to my height, age and sex.
I was 110 lbs when I first started.
Obsessive..Yes I agree.
But doing this got me off my heart medication.
I was full of energy and felt awesome.

But sadly, I have let things slip.
OK they slid off a cliff is what happened.
So I am starting again. I hope I didn't let it go to long.

You may be wondering why I am posting this as it doesn't have anything to do with being creative.
But it does, I am creating a new me. A healthier, happier and more active me.

Proud Tuesday:
I did my 1/2 hour brisk walk again this morning.
I walked over 10400 steps so far today, and the day isn't done yet.
Made a healthy meal for supper.
Worked on my mini today :)
Someone made my Window Envelope Pocket and showed me their video :)
Decided to stop farting around and take control again

So what have you done today to make you feel proud?

Thank YOU for the Thank You

I received a smile in the mail today:)
Pea sent me this beautiful card. Thank you so much Pea, it is beautiful.
I love the colours, the pattern paper and the embossing, sooo pretty :)
You are so thoughtful Pea.
I don't know about you, but I seem to get on a breakfast kick.
Let me explain.
I love breakfast. Once I find a type of breakfast I like, I will eat the same one for weeks or months even.
I usually eat oatmeal. My favourite is Peach & Cream or Apple Cranberry Almond.
But sometimes I like cold cereal. And right now it is Oatmeal Crisp and I add a handful of Craisins in there, Yummy. I guess they didn't want to call them shriveled up cranberries ;)
Now doesn't that look delish. I will be eating this one for quite a while.
Yup just one of my many quirks, lol.
Tonight for supper, Kristy made the salad.
I heard a disturbing scream from the kitchen. When I ran in there this is what she was screaming about. This tiny bug on the lettuce leaf.
Bet she won't forget to wash the lettuce from now on, lol.
Onto My Day:
I went for a 1/2 hour brisk walk this morning. It was such a beautiful day. I think Spring is here to stay....thankfully.
Watched Big Bang Theory with Heather.
Should have worked on my mini, but didn't actually start on it until 6:00 this evening.
Watched House....love that show.
Now I am ready for bed. Hubby snored real loud last night, so I traveled from the couch to our bed a few times in the middle of the night. Funny thing is when I wake him up he tells me he wasn't snoring.
I think I may video tape him tonight. I tried that other night....well I forgot to press the record button.
I WILL get my proof, lol.

Hope you all had a creative day today.

I'm Hosting my 1st Swap :)

I may be crazy, but I am Hosting my 1st swap.
When I posted my tutorial on my Window Envelope Pocket with the tag, a YouTube subscriber suggested I host a swap.
I have so much on my plate, but I thought what the heck, sounds like it could be fun. Plus, I love pressure, lol.
I am shocked by how many have signed up. I have 17 already, wow.
If you want to join in feel free to let me know.

We used to have a treat every Sunday for dessert. For some reason we had stopped that and had treats whenever we wanted.
So Heather suggested that we start our Sunday Desserts again. So tonight we had banana splits. I have to apologise for the missing banana split photo, but here are the cute serving dishes that we used ;)

I really hope you enjoyed your weekend.
I planned on working and finishing my mini album this weekend.....well that didn't pan out how i had planned.
I was having some anxiety about this one.
So I am hoping to finish it this week :)  I have so many projects I want to work on and I should also catch up on my book work.

Window Envelope Pocket

I have been saving these window envelopes that you get in the mail with your bills. I was thinking of making a mini album with them, but I thought of another use for them :)
I made a Window Envelope Pocket with a Tag.
I like that you can see the sentiment from the tag even when its in the envelope.
Yup I thought of this as I was going to sleep, teehee.

If you want to see how I made it I did a tutorial today and uploaded it to my YouTube channel.
Today was a nice day. So hubby and I took down our collapsed gazebo. The one that fell from the heavy snow. I decided to keep two of the side pieces to put for a trellis for my climbing plants.
Hubby took a load of crusher fines to our camp/cottage, early this morning. I didn't go for 2 reasons. 1. He got up to darn early. 2.I don't think a 2 hour drive in a dump truck would be all that comfortable.

Hope your weekend is all that you want it to be.

Its a cold one, so I needed a warm one

It was a hot chocolate type of day today. It was a chilly one here.
I didn't have any pop (Coke) today. I am now suffering from the caffeine withdraw with a little headache. The last couple of days I have been weaning myself off of pop.
When I told my cardiologist that I drank pop, he asked me "Why". LOL.
Tonight was Friday Night Scrap booking with Sharon. We didn't do anything creative, but we did go to Michael's. I wanted to get the Tim Holtz scissors.
I had received some stamps (I also purchased some stamps) that weren't mounted. I have never done this before, but had heard that these scissors were good for this.
I found them very easy to cut with. Now I just need to clean all the stickiness off of them.

I have been playing with this Graphic 45 paper. I cut these labels out of the paper. They were all blank with the outlined images being green (the bottom left one). So I wanted to add a bit of colour to them, so grabbed my Copic and Stampin' Up markers and coloured some up. I like how they turned out.
Onto My Day:
Kept checking out blogger all day, lol.
Went to the bank
Treated my daughter Heather for lunch
Went to Chapter's (our book store here in Canada)
Went to my local scrap booking store. I picked up a few more stamps, hey it was still buy 2 get 1 free :)
Grocery shopping
Then came home and took a nap. teehee, I love my naps.

Hope you all had a creative day, and your weekend is a relaxing one :)

Blooger Blackout of 2011. Did you Survive?

So did you survive the Blogger Blackout of 2011.
I did....barely, lol.
I love my blog, I also love checking on my blogs and I felt so lost. I can't tell you how many times I kept checking to see if it was back up.
I was so upset that I lost my blog post from yesterday, then poof, thankfully it is back. I was going to re-post it..but how to get the comments back. I thought I was going to copy the comments from my e-mails and then re-post them....is that a little obsessive? LOL.

Yesterday a truck pulled in front of our house and a man came to the door. I realized it was a friend of Ashley's dad. Cory (Ashley's friend) and Ashley have been really close friends all through College and now that they are both done, have remained close friends.
Well Cory's dad comes to the door and gives me a CD and tells me that its for Ashley. Then he hands me this beautiful hanging basket and tells me that this is for me.
Me? Why?
He said that he heard about my appointment the other day and Barbara (his wife) asked him to give me this. How sweet is this. I think a Thank You card is in order. I can't believe that they are so thoughtful. I have been smiling all day looking at them.
I think we have a critter....hopefully its only one.
I think it may be a skunk. Groan. It is living under my work shop. I looked under the shed aka My Work Shop, and it looks like there may be a nest of some type. But I didn't see any glowing eyes.
I told hubby at night to put the spike boards in the hole so they don't go back in there. He put the board in before dark, so I am hoping they didn't get locked in. That is all we need a decaying stinky skunk under there. I want it out of there before it has babies.
 Here is more evidence.
It has been digging under the fence to get in the backyard. Hubby keeps putting rocks and some chunks of concrete to block the holes it made, where he found the chunks  of concrete is beyond me.
Do you have these mutant squirrels where you live. He might look small, but he is the size of a small to medium sized cat.
I love all animals really I do (OK except for crows) but these guys scare me. Plus I have noticed we don't have any normal red squirrels around. And I can't tell you the last time I have seen a chipmunk around our area.
I think these bullies have scared them all away.
Thankful Thursday:
1. That I have such sweet and thoughtful people in my life.
2. Naps...always thankful for naps :)
3. Got me some creative time in
4. That spring is finally here :)
5. That blogger is finally up and running.

What are you thankful for today?

I'm not Worthy

I was very surprised to receive this award from Stacy at Love That Bug. I am not a master at the Cricut by no means. I do have 2 of them. The smaller one that my SIL and I went in on, as at the time it was real pricey. Then for Mother's Day last year Hubby and my girls surprised me with the pink expression. But I mostly only use it for letters.

So because of this award, I decided I should make a card with my cricut.
Now I know why I don't use it that often. It took me hours to figure out this cupcake. It had layers, so I had to figure out which buttons to use. Then I couldn't find the correct layer for the cupcake wrapper so I just cut out the whole cupcake and cut it with my zigzag scissors.
Plus I cut the cupcake out at 3" but the other layers were to big at that size so I had to fart around with the sizes to get it right.
But I do have another project in mind to use with my Cricut ;)
I heat embossed the sentiment. It says "hello cupcake!"
I know the cupcake itself isn't suppose to be pink. I think I have it down pat if I decide to make another cupcake in the future :)
 My dimension shot :)
The inside of the card.

Now in order to accept this award I have to do a few things:  Wear this badge proudly on your blog and share it with friends. Share this award with 10 people that you think have Cricut-tastic blogs. You also have to tell 5 cricut related things about yourself.

Things about Myself:
1. I have to rip things up before I put them to be recycled. No matter what it is, an envelope, a scrap of paper, a cardboard box. Yup I just have to do it.
2. I talk all day long. Usually to myself, but sometimes the cat comes around and then I talk to her. I think she hides most of the day, just so she doesn't have to hear me....and yes I answer myself as well.
3. I spend to much time on the computer. I check me email, Facebook and 2 peas site many times a day. I also check out blogs and YouTube.
4. I like to post on my blog in the evening, when my day is done. This is also when I reply to all the beautiful people who leave me comments :)
5. I like everything square and even. When we go to a restaurant I need the napkin and utensils to be straight, as well as those around me....ya this drives everyone crazy.
I know these may not be Cricut related, but I am still working on perfecting my skill ;)

Now to pass this onto the masters of the Cricut  :)
The first one that comes to mind is Schell she is the cricut queen.
The next one that comes to mind is Mary she is following Stacy's Create a Critter Series
Now most of the other cricut masters are on YouTube.

I want to Thank everyone for their encouraging comments yesterday. I love this community, you all put a smile on my face. I am a pretty positive person and I know this will not bring me down. I have had heart disease for about 7 yrs and it hasn't stopped me from doing what I have wanted to do yet :)
You would think that I would be the last person to get heart disease as I am not a statistic. I don't smoke or drink, I am pretty active, and I am not overly over weight. But the one downfall, it is on both sides of my family.
My grandfather had a massive heart attack and died of it when he was 34 yrs old. Both my mom and dad had a heart attack at age 50. My older brother had a heart attack at age 43.
It just goes to show that Heart Disease can effect anyone.

Take care  and I hope you had a creative Wednesday.
