I made this card for a friend whose cat had passed away :(
I can't image the heart ache she and her family are in right now.
We love our cat Rose, and she is such a part of our family that our home wouldn't be the same without her.
I hope that this gives her some comfort, knowing that we are thinking of her.
I used a Pure Innocence stamp, and coloured the image with my copics.
I was planning on paper piecing her dress with the same background paper, but it took away from the image.
I should really record the colours I use. I like the colours I used for the shadow under her, but not sure which ones I used.
I see a speck on the photo...don't you hate when you don't notice a flaw until you post the photo?
I used a Tim Holtz fragment piece and adhered some paper with a heart pattern to the back of it, then added a brad.
The inside of the card. I wanted to put the image on the card, but wanted to focus on the kitty.
Onto My Day:
I ended up doing some running around this morning.
It seems like I don't get as much done as I used to. I think it is time for my 15 minute days again ;)
I hope you all had a creative Monday :)
Tracy :)

Nicely coloured! I was thinking how nice the shadow shading was...yes, you must record what you do so you can repeat it. :0)
ReplyDeleteIf you had not mentioned the speck, i would have thought that it was on my computer screen. ;0)
Such a sweet card. Yeap yeap please record the colors you used. hehe... I didn't notice the speck until I read your post.
ReplyDeleteGuess I should have kept my mouth shut about the speck eh, lol.
DeleteI didn't notice the speck till I read it either!!! hahaha Isn't that always the way!
ReplyDeleteGreat card and it is going to mean so much to her.
I want to hear more about 15 minute days...it sounds interesting and right up my alley if it is 15 minute bursts of energy!
Thanks for the kind comments for Miss C. So nice of you!
Ton art est vraiment très original et beau.
ReplyDeleteJ'aime beaucoup. Bravo!
Here is Richards comment translated.

I really like. Bravo!"
just beautiful!! the love of a pet is something so special. I still miss my baily! we are thinking of getting a new dog this summer if we find the right one.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful card! I'm sorry your friend lost her cat, though!
ReplyDeleteVery thoughtful of you to send your friend a card. A cat is part of the family - each with their own little personalities.
ReplyDeleteShe's cute! Love how you decorated the inside. 15 minute days are sooo long gone for me!! haha. Hey, you commented on my card yesterday that you would have added a colored image and that inspire me to add something extra to my card. I'll repost my card once there is daylight to shoot by...thanks for the suggestion:)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your friend!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card. I love those colors together.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, I am sure your friend will appriciate it!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet, I know she will be so grateful :) I like how you stamped just the portion with the kitty, on the inside. I seem to get a lot done when I'm at work, but when I get home it all falls by the wayside. I just want to hang out outside :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card! Sorry for your friend's loss.
ReplyDeletesuch a sweet card! very nice of you to do that for your friend!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card. My sister had to put one of her cats down last year because he got too sick and they couldn't do anything for him. She was a mess! I will be the same way when my little dog goes. It's very hard to lose a pet. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card! Your friend will be so comforted receiving it. I read a scene in a book recently about a woman losing her dog. I bawled my eyes out reading it. Good thing no one else was around to witness it. ((HUGS)) to your friend.
ReplyDeleteI love that you do the inside of your cards too! I usually burn myself out just creating the front of the card!
ReplyDeleteLove Authentique and love it on your card - great pops of blue :) Wonderful peek on the inside of the card = cute! Your friend will appreciate this sweet card.
ReplyDeleteAWWH this is so cute , love the image .The card is Great Tracy, well done hugs Elaine

Very sweet...my BIL just lost his dog - so sad. You are a good friend to send such a lovely card.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card even though it is for a sad reason. I couldn't even think of losing my fuzzy bunny for at least another 15 years. My husband hates her but my cat loves me and the kids and that's all that matters. Oh the dogs don't like her much either but we cope. I love the chevron paper you used and I'm such a sucker for PI stamps. I just bought "cute-a-tude" It is completely my daughter. The other stamp I'm loving is the Gorjuss one with the little bunny and I bought it because my daughter is very attached to a little stuffed bunny named Bella. The artist has a print of a little girl sleeping in bed with the bunny and reminds me so much of my daughter. I may buy the print after we move so I can put it in her room. See I'm not all that sick in the head LOL.
ReplyDeleteSuper sweet image. Great design and i love how you finished the inside...brilliant...

What a sweet & special card. I love how you did the shadowing beneath her! Don't you hate how you do something on a whim and it turns out great, but you can't recall how to do it again? I do it all the time! :^/
