Snow and some Spooky Chocolate

We got some snow today.
Actually it snowed all day.
It isn't staying on the ground...but it sure is cold out there.
My pretty flowers are covered in snow...but they still look pretty :)

When I came home from my crop last night....just as  last weeks The Walking Dead started ;)
Wayne got me a treat.
I love chocolate bars, so when Wayne and Kristy saw one of my favourites "Coffee Crisp" all decked out in its Halloween best. They knew I would get a kick out of these.
Yup, I'm saving the wrappers to scrapbook ;)

I hope you all had a very creative Monday :)

Crop & Create Day 2

Today was another Awesome day at the 2 day crop at Crop & Create put on by Scrapbook & Cards.
I have never been to a 2 day crop.....I loved it!
Besides enjoying my friends company, working on my Smashbook, enjoying the delicious food that was supplied and entering some challenges...
I got to colour :)

I used my Prima doll stamp and put the girl on a Prima tag that I purchased at the store that the crop had brought in.
The store is from Winnipeg called The Scrapbook Cottage.
I am sure she brought in her whole store...she had a better selection than any store I have been to lately...wow.

I spent the last 2 days with these wonderful ladies.
My friends and I had so many laughs...I have no idea how we got any creating done...but we did.
At one time I was laughing so hard I had tears running down my face.
When I went to get a tissue, I was asked if I was crying.....oh yes.....crying tears of laughter.
We have just to much fun together :)

I got to do more colouring ;)

The teachers were wonderful, their classes and make & takes were outstanding.
Here is Catherine Tachdjian :)
Not only is she the founder and publisher of Scrapbook & Cards, but she is a sweet lady who I chatted with for so long, she was probably hoping I would get back to my projects, teehee.
Thank you Catherine for taking the photos of my friends and I with my phone :)

Here is Vicki Boutin :)
Talk about a great sense of humour...she would have fit right in at our table :)

Here is Nicole Harper :)
Such a sweet lady, I heard lots of singing at her table ;)

Last but definitely not least is Kelly Goree :)
Another sweet lady, who I chatted with quite a bit. She is also a great sales lady, as I ended up purchasing almost all of the kits they put together ;)

We received some amazing goodie bags with some wonderful products inside :)
To end the evening off with a bang, I won a prize !!! :)

I had such a great time....didn't I already say that?
I honestly can't wait till next year when they come again :)
Check out the teacher's names as I posted links to their blogs :)

I hope you all had a very Creative Sunday :)

Crop & Create....Day 1

I am having a blast at the Crop & Create crop today.
What can be better then 16 hours of crafting, good food and throw in a couple of friends :)
We have had so many laughs and we have all actually got quite a bit of creating done.
There are classes going on, and they can last up to 3 hours per class.
I haven't taken a class yet, but the ladies that have come back and share with us what they have made and learned...I'm very impressed. Makes me wish I joined a few myself.

There are make and takes going on and my friends and I have done all of them.
We made tags, cards and even jewellery.
Also give aways, now who doesn't love a giveaway...especially if you win ;)

So tomorrow is the second day of this crop and I can't wait.
And knowing how I just love getting up early in the morning (read that dripping with sarcasm) I have eagerly woke up every 2 hours last night, waiting for the clock to strike 6:15am so I can get going.
Mind you 5:30 was enough for me and I was up and raring to go :)

Hope you all had a Creative Saturday.
I know I did :)

Gift bags for the Crop

I spent a lot of my day on the computer.
I should have been getting ready for my 2 day crop.
I thought I was all done printing up my photos, only to double check and find out, I didn't print the ones for my monthly calendar...oh my.
Good thing I double checked.

So tonight is FNS (Friday Night Scrapbooking)
We have a smaller group tonight, as most of the other ladies are still getting ready for the crop tomorrow.
Here is what I worked on tonight.
Treat bags for my friends at the table :)
Can you believe 5 snack (more like one bite size) chocolate bars fit in here.

I either used scrap paper or older paper pads for them.

I made one for every lady at our table.
I think our table will fit 6 people to a table.
There are 5 of us that are going, so I made an extra one, just in case a 6th person is put at our table.
I also picked up a small bag of plain chips...I love a bit of salt with my sweets.

I found this idea on My ChicnScratch's channel. Angie has some of the best creative ideas. Here is the link to this bag.

I hope you all had a very creative Friday :)

Ohhhh Martha

Well Martha, I think you may have lost a lot of blogging followers with this one statement you made during an interview.
"Bloggers are not experts"
Watch this and give me your opinion....

When I first watched this I thought...she is right, most bloggers aren't experts.
But did any of us say we were?
If you look in my profile I state "I'm a Jill of all trades, expert in None"
But most of us blog because we enjoy it.
We love to share our passion for whichever craft we do, let it be cooking, crafting, organizing...the list goes on.
You don't need to be an expert to have talent.

I also noticed that the people she said that have great taste are big businesses.
People who have buyers, testers, photographers, creative departments and the list goes on.
We bloggers have ourselves, and I think we come up with a few of our own pretty awesome ideas.
Of course we don't expect Martha to do it on her own, she has a huge company with many different lines, she needs help and ideas from others.

Also when she had said that bloggers recipes aren't very good, how does she know this?
Blogger's recipes aren't tested???? I think many husbands and families can disagree with you there Martha, lol.

Lastly when she stated that bloggers use others ideas.
I have to wonder how many of her creative staff have searched fellow blogs for ideas. Bet they never gave credit to the originator.
That is one peeve I do have about fellow bloggers and You-tubers....give credit to the originator, not the last person you saw create something, but the first person who made it.

I am still a lover of a lot of her products and watching this interview has not changed my mind.
Am I insulted or offended by her interview...not in the least ;)
Everyone has an opinion and this is hers.

But I have to wonder....if Martha Stewart started her business now.....would she be a blogger ;)

I hope you all had a very creative Thursday :)

Prepping for a Crop

I gave my Selphy a work out today.

I am slowly getting ready for the crop I am attending this weekend.
It is a 2 day crop.
Saturday 8:00am till midnight and on Sunday 8:00am till 8:00pm.
I was worried I would have to leave early on Sunday in order to not miss the Walking Dead...but that doesn't start until 9:00pm, so I have plenty of time to pack up and get home to watch it ;)

I was getting a bit discouraged finding photos as I knew I had them, but they weren't on my computer.
Then I realized that I had taken a lot of photos on my phone.
I had to email them to myself and then upload them to a file, transfer them on my jump drive and lastly print them out on my personal printer.
I wonder if there is a better system?

And here I thought I didn't have anything to post today.
I have been blogging everyday for almost 4 yrs and didn't think I had anything to share today...
How silly of me, I blog like I talk....about everything and anything, lol.

I hope you all had a very creative Wednesday :)

Folk Art Raggedy

Last August my friend Debbie and I went for our yearly creative getaway.
We made quite a few cards, but didn't get around to actually colouring the images.

Last Tuesday, I went to her house as we decided it was time to colour these babies up ;)
I coloured this cute little folk art raggedy ann image with my Copics.

Here is the inside of the card.
As always I used my index/recipe cards to write a message on.
I also used left over papers from the front of the card. Best way to use up your scraps :)

Here is another look at this sweet image.
The image is from Close To My Heart.

I am so excited as I am attending the two day crop for Crop & Create this weekend.
My plan was to start to pack for it. That didn't happen.
My friend Lynne came by for tea this afternoon.
Then I went with Kristy to the jewellery store to pick out a ring, as they couldn't repair her other one.
Went driving with Heather.
I then got a text from Ashley if she could come over for supper....which of course I was happy to see her and fed her left over turkey dinner ;)

I hope you all had a creative Tuesday :)
I'm off to enjoy the new season of The Biggest Loser :)
