Journal stamp fun

If you are a follower of my blog then you know that I usually always use index/recipe cards for the insides of my cards.
Today I decided to try something new :)

I used this journal stamp and this stamp set from Fiskars with the word "Smile" from this sentiment  set.
Because the stamps are clear it is so easy to place them inside the header space.
I think I will get a lot of use out of this set :)
Don't worry I will still be using my recipe/index cards :)

Notice I coloured it Ombre style, lol.
I used Tim Holtz distress markers. As much as I like them, they sure aren't my Copics ;)
They don't blend as nice as the Copics, but then again they aren't meant to.
I think I may try this again, but blend the colours with water.

Onto My Day:
Today was a busy day.
I had a doctor appointment. Unfortunately it was with a specialist so I couldn't ask him about my cold.
I was going to see the doctor on call, but I would have had to wait to put my name on the list and he didn't start for another hour after that....so I didn't want to wait around so I left.

Then Kristy and I went to look for some shoes and a clutch to match her dress for her semi formal.
We picked up a clutch, but I think she is going to wear a pair of Ashley's high, high heeled shoes.
She has been practicing walking around the house in them ;)

I have some fun news I can share with you all tomorrow ;)

Hope you all had a creative Thursday :)

Tracy :)

  1. I love the ombre coloring. I think even if it isn't as blended it looks pretty cool.

The thought of your daughter practicing walking in really high heels around the house reminds of my girls when they were that age...it is a skill that's for sure!

  12. This looks like a good alternative to the recipe cards with it's taller direction, for those side opening cards as opposed to the bottom opening style that work so well with the recipe cards. I really like this!

Sure hope you do get to feeling better soon. I still have coughing fits at night, but for the most part, I'm doing better.
