When I saw a card coloured up with this flower/butterfly stamp, I just had to have it :)
I am a bit disappointed with how my colouring turned out though.
I have came to the conclusion that I should stick to cutesy stamps.
I am not the best at colouring flowers or wildlife.
But no worries, I'm okay with knowing my limitations, lol.
Well here is my card....I even had a hard time picking out the background paper. Not sure if this was the best choice for this image?
I coloured this image up with my Copic markers.
I stamped the butterflies, coloured them up and then fussy cut them out. Lastly I folded up their wings and then adhered their bodies to the matching butterfly :)
Oh ya I also added a bit of glitter to the butterflies.
I was a bit disappointed that the glitter wasn't more transparent.
The glitter took away from the colours and shading of them.
Oh well, I inked up a newly bought stamp after only purchasing it 3 days ago ;)
That's a new one for me :)
Onto My Day:
Wayne wanted to watch "Band of Brothers". He watches it at least once a year while he is on his holidays. So he asked if we could watch it today....if you aren't familiar with this show, it is really good, but takes all day to watch it.
I told him I was planning on creating all day as we watched it.
Sometime in the later afternoon, Wayne had questioned me about my creating all day, as I did nothing, lol.
I always have grand plans, lol.
I hope you all had a creative Wednesday :)
Tracy :)

ReplyDeleteI like your card. I sure think you did an awesome job with your colouring and shading. I think you are too hard on yourself. Sorry you didn't do anything creative today. But spending time with your hubby is pretty important.

ReplyDeletePS
Love Band of Brothers too...it does take all day!
I love your card-I think you do non-cutesy very well!! We also love Band of Brothers. It's an amazing miniseries. Loved Damian Lewis in it and he's just as good in Homeland.

ReplyDeleteI think this is BEAUTIFUL! You are always too hard on yourself :) Just gorgeous Tracy. I love the flowers and the butterflies too. I think you are gray at coloring flowers :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm.. I don't think there's a day that goes by, that I don't do at least SOMETHING creative in some way. It may be as small or simple as a quick (art/scrap)journal entry, with so much as a STICKER to embellish the spot, just before bedtime; but even something as small as THAT is creative work in MY mind... But anyways, LOVE the card you made, Tracy, and the coloring looks great as far as I can see. I agree how the glitter can either work WITH you or AGAINST you, but all in all, your card came out beautiful!... Have a great day! ~tina
