I think this is one of my favourite cards that I have done in a while.
I love this image of this gorjuss girl. Maybe it is because of my love of reading.
I like these earth colours and the book background paper.
Even though this is a pretty simple card, not really any embellishments.
I added a sentiment "Oh the places you'll go"
I don't know about you, but I used to escape a lot in my books when I was growing up.
I also added a tiny book that I had stamped and coloured.
I coloured her up with my Copics.
I keep meaning to record my colours that I use on my images, but I keep forgetting.
I just start to colour and forget as I put the markers away. Sorry about that.
And lastly the inside of my card.
As always I used the leftover papers from the front my card. I also used my recipe/index card which I used a couple of stamps on.
Onto My Day:
We left the cottage early in the afternoon to come home so I could start on the company books. Month end time for me again. But I didn't receive all the weigh slips, so I guess it is going to have to wait until tomorrow :(
My daughter Ashley got Wayne and I hooked on the television show, Breaking Bad. I had no idea what this show was about, but it sure is addicting. So many great characters.
I hope you all had a creative Monday and enjoyed your long weekend, if you had one.
I will be sharing some more of my cards that I had created during my girls creative weekend.
Tracy :)

Such a super cute card Tracy! My reading has been taking over all other duties lately, well minus the house anyway :o) Hope you are all doing well! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI love her! We are also voracious readers in our house! Is the whole Gorjuss image with the books too? Love the book paper behind as well!

ReplyDeleteI love that card! That is one of my favorite Gorjuss stamps, well technically I pretty much love them all lol. Sorry it was a slow start to you month end work. Hopefully it will go by quickly. September is here and I need some crafty girls to chat with while my kids are not pestering me :D

ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute! Love that image with the books. The sentiment is perfect. I adore this! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute card! I love the image of the girl with all of the books. I was a huge reader when I was younger, although I regrettably don't read as much anymore. I just don't have the time with all of the other "stuff" I have to do - like work and cook dinner and all of that!
ReplyDeleteSummer goes sooooo quickly. :-(
ReplyDeleteWonderful card! Love your coloring and color choices. The paper is perfect. I totally get what you mean about escaping into a book when I was younger. I learned so much from reading and still do.
ReplyDeleteLovely card. Love her dress and hair. You are awesome at coloring!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! That paper is so perfect with that image!

ReplyDeleteSuch a great card. I love to read too when I get the chance.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous coloring Tracy. I have to agree with the reading and using books for an escape. I really wish now, looking back that I had kept track of all the books I've read, it would be interesting to see the total, the authors and genres!
ReplyDeleteWow her hair looks so good! Great job!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card, love the girl with the books :)
ReplyDeleteEach time I see the images you color makes me think about taking a stab at it myself. One day. Until then I will enjoy seeing the delightful cards you make.
ReplyDeleteBooks, they do take you around the world and get you in the middle of all kinds of stuff. Mystery, romance, galactic worlds, and so much more. All from the comfort of a good chair at home :D
Love you - Leslie
Oh that stamp is awesome! I love to read too, so it's perfect!! :) The paper is great too! I love the little pile of books :) I hope you got the rest of your slips and were able to get started on your bookeeping. I've heard of that show, but never seen it. We have so many shows we watch, sometimes I feel like we could never add another one, but we do it all the time. Lol! Survivor starts soon and did you see Blair from Facts of Life is going to be on it??
ReplyDeleteAdorable card and amazing job on the colouring.
