I have finally got around to making Tim Holtz challenge tag for June.
I know it is now August, but I didn't want to miss a month, so I made June's tag.
In June Tim was showcasing his distress inks.
I have the distress inks, but have not really used them that much. So this was a great challenge for me.
Tim, of course, used his stamps. The butterfly one.
Not only don't have have his stamps, I think I have used a butterfly stamp in April and May.
So I wanted to use one of my cute girl stamps for this Summer tag.
I thought this Gorjuss girl stamp was perfect for a summer tag :)

I used the distress markers to colour her up. I didn't stress about it.
I just added some colour and then spread it out with my water pen.
For the background of the tag I used some distress ink.
I first put ink on a slick mat (which is only the backing of a xyron sheet), then I spritzed some water on the ink and dragged my tag through it.
For the background stamp. I used a bunch of words and put them on a large block and stamped them all together like a large background stamp.
Added my charm and inked around all of the edges :)
I am off at the cottage as I am having family coming down for this long weekend.
Kristy came out with me. Wayne will be coming up on Friday after work and bringing Heather.
Ashley and Tyler will be coming out as well.
It is going to be a full house here this weekend :)
I hope you all had a creative Thursday :)
