Happy New Year!!!

This year sure zoomed along now didn't it.
I have so many plans for this year!!
I am pretty pleased with my goals for 2015…even though I didn't do as many as I wanted, I did do a variety of them :)
How about you?
Are you happy with the goals you achieved for 2015?
Did you make any new goals for 2016?

Either way, I hope you all have a wonderful year :)

Hard to believe tomorrow a new year begins.

So if you are like many, who make goals or New Years Resolutions to get fit, eat better or lose weight…then I would advise you to eat all of those boxes of chocolates you received for Christmas today before the clock strikes 12, lol.
Unless of course you are putting it off until Monday ;)

I hope you all ring in the New Year with family and friends….or just sit back and enjoy the evening with a warm drink and a movie…either way sounds perfect to me.

Tonight I will be celebrating at home, with my family and a few friends over.
But I will also be reflecting on this past year at all of the blessings we have had.
I have a family who is healthy, happy and so loving…as well as a new addition to our family…my son in law.
Yes, I am a lucky lady and am so blessed :)

I hope when you reflect on the past year, you feel just as lucky and blessed as I do.

Good-bye 2014…Hello 2015!!!!!

Wow, the last day of the year.
It seems to have gone by so fast.
But in a way that may be a good thing, as it means that it has been a good year…right?

I saw this on Facebook and thought it was a perfect wish to all of you :)

I hope you all have a wonderful New Year and get to spend it with family or friends.

Every year we have friends over to celebrate bringing in the New Year.
We also have an open door gathering….if someone wants to pop in before going to their party, or just wants to come for a few hour visit, but do not want to stay out late, then they are all welcome :)
Wayne and I spent this afternoon getting snacks and appetizers ready for tonight. Yum.

So here is to a brand spankin' New Year to you all….lets get the most out of it this year :)

Goodbye and Hello

I hope you are all celebrating the coming of the New Year with those you love and celebrate it safely.

I saw this on Facebook today and just love the sentiment.
Because how true is it.
No matter what you do, the year is going to pass us by.
You can just sit around and let life happen around you, or you can make them happen.
No matter what you choose, those 365 days are going to pass, so make the most of them.

With that being said, I feel like I haven't made the most out of my year.
I retired in January and had so many plans and thought I was going to do so much.
But just recently came to the realization, that I had a retired mindset. Meaning I kept thinking I had lots of time to do this or that, after all I'm retired. But I didn't do all that I had planned.
When I worked (even though I worked from home) I still had deadlines and would fit my projects in that time frame.

I know I still did a lot of things.
-Spent lots of time at our cottage, which I love to do.
-Helped my daughter with her new home.
-Did some creative projects.
-Made and spent time with my friends.
-Most importantly enjoyed as much time as I could with my family.
But I still had so much more I could have and still want to do.
So here is to 2014…the year of filling in the gaps ;)

I wish you all a Healthy and Happy New Year….its time to open the doors to say good bye to 2013, thank you for a wonderful time, and welcome 2014 in :)

Tracy :)
