Stamp and punch

Quick post as I am trying to upload a video on my art journal page. 

It has been uploading for over 4 hours and is only at 48%. 

I went out and when I came home it was at the same percentage.  I guess it froze :(

So sadly I can't share my art journal page with you. But here are a few goodies I picked up on my outing.

The beginning of the process

Worked on my art journal page today.

Pretty good as I'm a couple days early lol. 

I will tease you with my pages in progress ;)

I think I was in a fog all day. 

I did a process video on these pages, but I'm sure a lot if it will be on the cutting room floor. Lol.

I will post the finished pages and (hopefully) what is left of the video, tomorrow :)

The Faces in my Fauxbonichi

Today was a bit of a surprise…but before we get to that, I will share with you a page, or I guess a drawing, I did in my Fauxbonichi.
If you have checked out my Fauxbonichi then you know that I am leaving a block for stamping, colouring, drawing, photos or whatever I feel I want to add for that day :)

When I first started with this book, I was going to have this blocked out area, to house  something that happened in that day.
But why limit myself ;)
So I have been drawing my little characters in these blocks instead :)
I need to get a Memento pen (this is just drawn with pencil) so I can also use my Copic markers to colour with.
I like how she turned out….but need to finish her.

Now to the bit of a surprise to my day:
Wayne had a doctors appointment this morning. As he was getting ready to go, he asked me if I needed him to pick up something from the grocery store.
I was still in bed and a bit confused.
I told him that I have to drive Kristy to work in the afternoon, so if I need something I would pick it up then.
It was his turn to be surprised as he told me would both bring Kristy to work.
Then I realized and asked him "You took the whole day off of work"
Yes he did, lol.

So we ended up watching Wayne's favourite show which is "Band of Brothers" which takes all day.
I spent the whole day catching up on emails…wow, it took me all day to attend to them.

When Wayne takes a day off of work, I spend the whole day with him. So no house cleaning, no personal time (I guess replying to emails could be viewed as personal) and no creative time.
I was going to work on my Art Journal page today.
But I have to say, spending time with my Honey watching tv and enjoying some deep fried pickles was  a pretty great day :)

Smash book page. My Girls

Here is my one and only project that I had completed at my crop yesterday.
Yup, a 12 hour crop and only once full page completed.

I used my new stamp that I purchased at Unity by Angie Blom and Joslyn Nielson called Impossible to Forget.
As soon as I saw this image, I just had to get it.
Not only is it such a sweet image, every time I see an image (or almost anything for that matter) with 3 girls on it, it reminds me of my 3 daughters and it pulls at me ;)
The sentiment at the bottom of the image is from a Fiskars stamp set.

I was having fun with my "big boy" camera and was trying to get creative with my photography ;)

When we went away on our Family getaway last month, the girls got these photos taken at Forever 21 at Mall of America.
I thought they were so fun.
Thankfully they got 3 sets and gave me one of them:)
I just love that my girls enjoy being silly.

Sadly one of my friends didn't make it into the picture as she had to leave unexpectedly :(
I should have changed my lens for these photos.
Mind you with us laughing and talking during this photo, I'm lucky I got one this good, lol.

Winter Crop

I had such a great time at the Winter crop I hosted today!!!!

I hope everyone else did as well.

Not that I got a lot done, but I really enjoyed spending time with my friends….which is my whole purpose of hosting these

But if I get some creating done…bonus ;)

I didn't get around to putting together treat bags for my friends, so I made them all bone folders :)
I took a wood stick (about the size of a tongue depressor) and cut the end to the shape of a bone folder and then sanded it down.
I then punched a hole at the other end with my Crop A Dile and threaded some twine through it with a jewel on the end.

I was thinking of painting the wood, but then thought the paint would transfer on the paper when it was used.
I then thought I would stamp the recipients names or initials on the end, but the wood didn't take the stamp very well.
Lastly I thought of inking the jewel with alcohol ink to add some colour.
But then I though, just keep it simple…which is hard to do sometimes ;)

What else do we do at a crop besides creating and spending time with friends…eat of course, teehee.

I made some finger sandwiches and some veggies and dip. 

Myra brought some cupcakes, as I forgot ;)

For supper we all pitched in for some pizza and wings, as well as a yummy salad made by Verna :)

Thank you to all of my friends who were able to come to my crop today…because of you, you made my day a really good one….Thank you.

Getting ready for a crop.

I was wanting to put on another crop before Christmas.

But with everyone so busy before the holidays that didn't happen.  

So I figured I would put one on after the holidays were over. 

Tomorrow is the day!!!

I am hosting a 12 hour crop and can't wait to create with my friends. 

So I am off to the land of sleep as my friends are coming at 9:00am. And you all know I'm not an early riser....unless it's for a trip or a crop :)

I tried to post a video that I made from my phone of Luna eating from her new bag of cat food, that she tore open. But it won't let me post it. I just wanted to see if it would post...it didn't. 

Even though her dish was full. She likes to tear into a new bag lol.

My Colour Cart..Raskog Cart.

I have discovered a few new Facebook Pages…wow there is a page for everything :)
Two of the new ones were dedicated to our Raskog carts.
I was looking at photos the other members were sharing, I commented on a few.
I was then asked to share mine.
I thought ..oh what the heck, this one is still nicely organized ;)

I call this cart my colour cart.
I keep most of my colouring supplies in here.
In the first tray, I keep my Copic markers, coloured pencils with my Gamsol and blending stumps in the back.

In my second tray I keep my art journal colouring supplies.
I put an insert made for these carts in this tray.
You will see my Gelatos, Big Brush Pitt markers.
I also keep my embossing paste, glues and gesso in here.
In the back containers are my thinner tipped Pitt pens and my paint brushes and other tools.

On my bottom tray I have my Sharpie and Bic markers, my distress markers on the other side and in the very back, my sprays.
Oh yes and my foam brushes.

I keep my Stampin' Up markers in this pink tote. I added some "S" hooks to the cart and hooked them to the loops on the tote :)
I also have this wire tray that I hook on the bottom tray and store my tissue paper in it.

I just love these types of carts.
They are easy to move around and so easy to fill up ;)
That is my Colour Cart with my some of my creative supplies.
Doesn't it just make you want to play :)

I do have another cart dedicated to my journals and supplies….but that one isn't as organized, teehee.
Once I get to that one, I will share it.
I love to see how everyone is using these types of carts, so I thought I would share mine with you.

There are many brands of this type of cart, I just happen to have picked up a couple of these ones from Ikea on a couple of our trips.
Do you have one of these or any other brand of these types of carts.
If you do, what do you keep in yours?
