If I knew or cared how to edit my photos I would discard the bottom of this photo. I placed these cards on the hot tub cover to take the photo. I should have zoomed in a bit.
These cards were made on my girls creative weekend that my friend Debbie and I took.
I made a suggestion that we should follow the same sketch and see what we come up with.
And if you know me, if its suggested, we're going to do it, lol. Just kidding....no really ;)
So here are our cards from the same sketch.
Mine is on the left and Debbies is on the right.
Funny thing about these cards is, I used one of her stamps and she used one of my stamps.
I know Debbie paper pieced the gorjuss girls dress and coloured the rest of the image with Copics.
I love her card. That velum paper on the bottom of her card is so pretty....I picked myself up some after that weekend ;)
Now a closer look at the one I made. I forgot to take a close up of her card :(
I don't know the stamp name as it wasn't mine, but it sure is cute isn't it.
I coloured this image up with my Copic markers.
I used some twine instead of ribbon for a couple of reasons:
1. I didn't have any ribbon with me ;)
2. I didn't want to take away from this pretty background paper.
I used a white gel pen to colour and give dimension to the pearls she is wearing around her neck.
Here is the inside of the card.
The image that I stamped is also from this same stamp set.
Onto My Day:
We are at the cottage :)
We left last night after supper. Yup I was home for less then 24 hours and was headed out the door again.
Last night I had to keep getting up and check on things. I think because I have been in 5 different beds in less then two weeks, I just needed to get my mind adjusted to my environment, lol.
It is a warm one here today. I am not complaining, believe me. I love the warmth. We will be getting the colder weather soon enough :(
Yesterday I phoned the siding guys about cleaning up the old siding out of our yard.
He came by because I also told him that they forgot to put the doorbell back on.
So he fixed that, but as of today they still have not cleaned up the siding :(
I hope you all had a creative Friday :)

My Very Merry Unbirthday to me from Pea :)
I received some happy mail from my friend Phillane.
We know her as Pea from Whimsical Endeavors.
She is such an amazing artist, but even more so a very caring and thoughtful person.
She made me this beautiful heart shaped hanger.
She also altered me this beautiful journal.
She even put a photo of our view of the lake from our cottage.
As well as this beautiful spool she altered.
Told you she is an artist.
I did a video of me opening up these beautiful birthday gifts she sent me :)
I am such a lucky girl :)

You Don't Need a Million Dollars to Create, but it sure would be nice ;)
Remember that card I had to make in the hotel room?
Well for the record, I didn't have any tape adhesive, no paper trimmer, no scissors, no Copics and no recipe cards.
I am a firm believer that anyone can create.
I have had so many people tell me that they don't have that much money or as many supplies as I do.
Here is proof that you can create where ever and when ever you want, and you don't need a lot of money or supplies.
This is what I did.
I folded my paper to make a heavy score than then ripped the paper instead of cutting it.
I did buy some foam tape from the dollar store to adhere all my papers.
This particular paper pad was from the Micheal's dollar bin, and I only used 2 and a half sheets, including the inside piece.
I also purchased the dimensional flowers from the same dollar bin, and there were 4 of these flowers in this pack.
I did happen to have one distress ink in my bag (I never leave home without one, lol), so I inked the edges to make the torn cuts look even more distressed.
Here is the inside of the card.
See no recipe cards, teehee.
I am happy with how this card turned out.
See not much money and not any tools.
Everyone can be creative.
Actually I think less supplies makes me more creative as it gives me an opportunity to think outside of the norm.
Mind you buying the supplies is just to fun for me, lol. As you can tell from my last few posts ;)
This is something you don't see everyday.
A train in the mall.
The little kids really enjoyed it. But I can see the shoppers getting annoyed having to move out of the way, especially if it was busy.
Heather wanted to go to Cold Stone, or Stone Cold as I call it, lol.
I found this to be ironic. Ice-cream shop in the same building as Weight Watchers, lol.
I hope the Weight Watcher participants have strong will power ;)
Onto My Day:
Lots of driving.
But we are home safe and sound.
I came home to new siding on our house and a mess in my yard.
They finished the job early this afternoon, I was told. But they haven't cleaned up the old siding. And am not to happy with them throwing it on all my lawn decor ;(
I hope you all have a creative Wednesday :)

Yes More paper ;)
Just a quick post as I am tired and I forgot I needed to make a card for someone that I was sending some mail to on this side of the border.
So before I attempt the card, with no Copics :(
Here are probably the last of my purchases for the girls shopping trip.
We went to an Archivers in Applevalley (I think that is where it was).
I have been looking for this Lost and Found paper pack in 6x6 the whole trip.
I was so happy to find it.

Onto My Day:
We woke up checked out of our hotel, went to Burnsville mall, Archivers, Mall of America and then Pine City Scrapbooking and now we are in Duluth :)
Sharon and I just came from the hot tub, now I need to take a shower then try my hand at this card I have to make.
Heading home tomorrow after another trip to Miller Hill Mall.
Hope you all had a creative Tuesday :)

Yummy food and creative goodies :)
Started our shopping day with a healthy breakfast of fruit and dip.
Okay, honestly I also had one of those cream horns from last night as well ;)
First stop Archivers :)
I forgot to print up my coupon from home and at first she wasn't going to give it to me.
Like seriously Archivers couldn't afford my $5.00 off my pricey purchase. I understand rules are rules. And I didn't question her, I was just going to leave my purchase there to see if I could print one up at the hotel.
Then she said she will give me a generic code of my savings on one of my purchases.
I know more paper packs that I don't need, lol.
We followed the girls as they went to their stores then it was time for lunch.
My favourite place to stop for lunch is the Crepe Stand. YUMMY
Sharon had strawberry, I had banana caramel and the girls each had banana and chocolate.
YUMMY, oh did I say that already ;)
Isn't this so pretty. It is a dress made out of paper invitations.
Now that I think of it, I may have shared this before on an older post.
But its just so pretty.
Before leaving our all day adventure at Mall of America I had to hit up the Peeps Store.
Can you believe they didn't have any ducky peeps :(
But I did get a couple chocolate covered peep. Now don't go hatin' Dena ;)
Then off to Red Lobster for dinner :)
We wanted to get there early, so we gave ourselves plenty of time to get there.
But Lola (our GPS) and Sharon, my SIL, just couldn't get it right.
I had Kristy telling me directions via Lola and Sharon giving my different directions.
Finally I had to say (a little firmly I may add) okay only one person at a time.
I have to say, Sharon got us lost, so we put her in the back seat. Kristy came in the front with Lola and we found our destination, lol.
Last scrapbooking store was Scrapbookers Too.
I'm hoping I don't have that Magnolia magazine, lol.
Heather told me I should get the Tim Holtz die cuts. Good taste eh? :)
I think next time I may get the small dies like this. I am running short on American money, and I think the girls would rather eat a few meals while we are here, lol.
Here are the stamps I picked up at that same store.
That purple thing in the back is some honey comb paper. It will open like those 3D paper wedding bells. So when this paper is cut, you attach it to the inside of the card, so when the card is opened, the shape you cut spreads open in that 3D shape.
So that was my Day, no shooting, no quads falling off vehicles, just getting lost in heavy traffic.
As Sharon was heading out to have a cigarette, Kristy yells to her, "Don't get killed eh", lol.
Thats what I call smoking at your own risk, lol.
We are heading in the hot tub now as Sharon needs to ease her aching muscles. I have to admit I do to, lol.
Plus I am sitting here with my new track jacket on freezing, as these weirdos have the air conditioning on again. Seriously what is wrong with these people, lol. That hot tub sounds so warm and relaxing. We just need to clear the little kids out of there, lol.
Hope you all had a creative Monday :)
I so want to play with all my fun new goodies.

Creative Shopping, Quad Fail and the Cops are Here.
Wow busy day today, good busy though :)
My SIL Sharon, Heather, Kristy and I are in Minneapolis. I LOVE my road trips :)
We haven't hit Mall of America yet or my other favourite store, Scrapbookers Too. We are doing that tomorrow :)
We are so tired, so this will be a short post but its full of happy pictures :)
First stop was Pine City Scrapbooks. I love this store. The cards the ladies make are stunning.
So I picked up these cute Pure Innocence stamps and these brads that are shaped like scissors, so cute. :)

Also from that same store I saw this gorgeous Winnie the Pooh paper pack. Phillane had sent me a few sheets, so when Kristy and I saw this paper pack we were pretty excited.
I also picked up a few 6x6 paper packs.
I am really enjoying the 6x6's. I used to think they were a waste of money..until I got into card making ;)

Then we went to Michaels and these gourds were on sale. Funny thing is they were $9.99 US, $16.99 Canadian regular price. Funny as our dollar is so close but they still jack up the prices for us Canadians.

Lastly we went to Joann fabric and crafts. I saw the one cloud punch at Pine City but wasn't sure if the size was to small. Then was so happy to see that they had two different sizes. Thought of you Mary Pat :)
I really liked this paper pack, but told myself I had to much paper and didn't need this. Heather came along so I told Sharon, if Heather likes it I'm getting it.
Sure enough she liked it, so I had to buy it, teehee.
She also really loved the Tattered Time paper pack, but I have that one already ;)
I also picked up some chipboard pieces. The one on the left is Winnie the Pooh, and the other one is Halloween pieces.

Another great find...which I search for where ever I go, are these Cream horns...when my brother Darrell and I were young we called these long johns.
Breakfast ;) We did pick up some fruit as well :)

When we went to Rydens to pick up my newest order of stamps...I haven't even posted those yet, Kristy found these glasses. She is such a character.
I don't think we have stopped laughing all day.
When we went to Pine City there is a playground across the street. The girls went to check it out while we were shopping.
I told them to bring my camera and have some fun :)
Okay this is not a happy photo.
On the way into Minneapolis on the highway we came upon this Quad (ATV as my nephew Tom calls them) in the middle of the highway.
It fell off some guys trailer. Luckily we weren't behind him when this happened.
I found it odd that the 2 girls were running to get the machine, while the man stayed with his truck which was over 1/4 mile from where it fell off.
No other vehicles were involved in this accident.
Another scary thing that happened was we were at the hotel getting into the vehicle and noticed 3 police cars by the road and one by the gas station. I was in the car, Sharon was standing by her open door. Two police officers were slowly walking beside Sharon, the one cop had her gun out, the other had his machine gun (not sure if that was what is was) out.
I say to Sharon "Get in the car, Get in the car". Mean while she is oblivious to what is happening.
The police didn't say anything to us, just kept on going.
When we left we counted 6 police cars.
I hope they got their bad guy.
We were going to go to Red Lobster for supper, but the parking lot was full and the sitting area outside was packed. So we went shopping for about an hour and a half and when we came back it was the same thing.
So we will probably go tomorrow.
So I am sitting here drinking a hot chocolate hoping to warm up, as these whachadoodles think it is hot in the hotel room and have the air conditioner on.
Majority sucks.
Hope you all had a creative Sunday :)

Beautiful Bride
Tonight we had the pleasure of sharing in the joy of my niece getting married to a wonderful man.
It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony, the sun was out and the weather was gorgeous.
Here is the card I made for them.
Isn't this image adorable.
I of course coloured it with my Copic markers.
The sentiment "Story of Life" was on the paper.
I was going to use two Magnolia images of a girl and a boy fishing and colour them in thier wedding colours and have them under a flowered arch. They love to fish, so I was excited to make a theme card for them.
But the boy looked a little bored, so I didn't think that was a good one for a wedding card, lol.
I think that may have been a blessing in disguise as I really love how this card turned out.
Here is the inside of the card.
I stamped the inside sentiment.
I forgot to take a photo, but on the other side of the inside cover I attached a small bank envelope, cut in half to put the cheque in.
My gorgeous niece. Isn't she the most beautiful bride.
This girl is beautiful inside and out.
I am so happy for her and her now husband :)
Here we are :)
My beautiful family :)
Remember I mentioned that my niece and her hubby love to fish.
Well here are their thank you gifts..fishing lures :)
They are packaged so pretty to.

Tomorrow I am off on another adventure :)
Heather, Kristy, my SIL Sharon and I are off to the States. Mall of America baby :)
Archivers here I come :) They will be so happy to see me, teehee.
Hope you all had a creative Saturday :)
