If you know me, then you know I save most of my creative shopping when we go away and I can shop at the cool crafting stores.
Well today I was missing my friend.
I went to visit her at work, but she was off today.
So I went to a store that we usually go to and I did some shopping :)
I found these date stamps for under $4.00 each.
I haven't used brads in awhile, but these were honkin' big and thought they were fun.
The frixion pens I picked up at Lowery's, they were pricey. I really fought with the thought of paying this much for them...but finally decided what the heck.
They were over $17.00 with taxes for these!
Over the weekend Heather totally cleaned the house, dusted, swept, mopped the whole nine yards.
But in order to do that, she needed to put all my scrappy stuff on the couch. Believe me there was a lot of scrappy stuff around the house, teehee.
So now is the perfect time to try and organize them.
If you are a follower of my blog and know me, then you know that I enjoy creating while Wayne and I watch tv during the evenings.
I want to put together a tote with tools and such in it so I don't have to keep running up and down the stairs. Plus now that it is cottage season I could take it to the cottage and have everything with me :)
Now just to figure out everything I need, with out taking absolutely everything ;)
If you have a traveling tote, what do you pack in it?
After over 3 years of blogging, I have figured out that I could add tags or labels to my posts, lol. See you can teach old dogs new tricks, teehee.
I hope you all have had a creative Monday :)

Junes Day Planner pages
I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend :)
Today I thought I would share with you a few pages from my day planner.
I know that the 1st and 2nd of June was from last week, but because they were in the month of June, I put them after June's 2 page calendar.
Because I had a big space on this weeks page, I decided to colour in one of my Gorjuss girls images and adhere it to my page.
I used reds as my mom's birthday would have been on June 1st and she loved the colour red.
As you can see I coloured the sky and masked in some clouds.
I also drew in some grass :)
I even put aside the colours I have used :)
I am getting pretty good at remembering to do this ;)
Here are my pages from this past week.
I stayed with the red for this week as I really like the red washi tape at the top.
I am also trying something a bit different.
I am putting in my "To do" lists and appointments on the left of the thin washi tape going vertical, and writing in point form about the happenings of mine and my family's days on the right hand side of the vertical washi tape strip.
The arrow is a sticky note. I wrote on it (as I didn't have enough room on my page) I then folded it to fit in that area and stuck it down.
When we came home from camp, we checked out a house that Ashley is thinking of putting an offer on. There was an open house today.
Things sure have changed since Wayne and I bought our last house. Now you seem to have to ask more then the asking price. We always have asked under and still got the houses we wanted. But now, at least here you have to ask higher and hope no one has out bid you. Crazy I'll tell you.
After the open house, we took a trip to emergency to get Wayne's finger looked at.
The nurse wasn't happy that he hurt it on Friday and was just coming into the emergency today.
I think she may have been impressed with his MacGyver skills but said he taped it to tight.
Then she gave him a speech about how he could have got a bone infection and how serious that could be.
I found it a bit entertaining as she was about 1/2 his age ;)
I have to say I have to give a shout out to all us scrapbookers and anyone (who like me) takes photos of everything. As both the doctor and nurse were impressed that I had a photo of his finger all bent up on my phone ;)
Well as it turned out, Wayne's finger isn't broken. The doctor figured he must have dislocated the joint and then popped it back into place. Which Wayne did Friday night as he forced it straight to put it into his make shift splint.
I hope you are not to ill after reading about Waynes finger, teehee.
I hope you also had a creative Sunday :)

Excitement at the cottage
Kristy loves to ride, just like her mom:)
Yup we love to ride:)
On one of Kristy and my rides I saw a cougar walk across our trail. I couldn't believe it!
He had a bad sleep. But didn't want to go home.
So she wears her shades and a bandanas. I on the other hand have goggles and a full face protector. But am thinking of also using a bandana.
I noticed that the last weekend we were up, that a robin had built a nest under the propped up boat. So I snuck a peek;)
Whoever said all babies were cute didn't see a baby robin, lol
When Kristy caught up to me I told her we should take a look. So we drove to where I saw it go in the bush, and there was a lynx. I was shocked again.
It didn't move, just kept staring at us.
Of course neither of us had a camera.
I told Kristy we should get going just in case mama came by.
When we were getting ready to leave for camp Friday night, Wayne squished his finger in a ratchet thingy. It bled pretty bad, but he just wanted a bandaid and we were on our way.
Then we get to camp and he asked me if his finger looked crooked. What do you think?
So he MacGyver'd it :p
He used some paint sticks and medical tape.
Yes, we are leaving early tomorrow so he can get it looked at....crazy guy.

DT Day, Miss Lilly Hawaiian
Happy Friday everyone :)
Well, today is my Design Team day to share my project for Little Blue Button Stamps design team.
I have picked this adorable new June release called Miss Lilly Hawaiian.
Doesn't she look like she is having a blast!
I coloured her up with my Copic markers and one Stampin' Up marker.
I used the SU marker for the fine details on the leaves of her skirt.
That is one thing I wish Copic would get a move on with. Supplying us with fine tips to replace the chisel. You know they are going to do it ;)
I used a bit darker skin tone on this image as I figured she was out in the sun and probably got a bit of a tan. But I see she is a bit pale still, so I guess she just started her vacation, teehee.
For this card I actually stuck to one paper collection.
I used Graphic 45's Tropical Travelogue. Funny thing is I don't really care for this paper line, but I think Miss Lilly really dresses it up nicely :)
Here is the inside of my card.
The reason I used this random tag of the hand with the ring on it is because I am going to give this card to my brother and SIL, for their 25th anniversary. They went away someplace nice to celebrate it.
Ohhh looky here, I remembered to share the colours I have used on this card :)
If you want to check out my blog post on LBBS blog then click their name and I will take you right there :)
I am so happy its Friday and that we are heading out to the cottage :)
Why does work at the cottage seem more enjoyable then work at home?
Hope you all had a creative Friday :)
What are your plans this weekend?

Proud Mommy Moment
Today was a proud day for my daughter Kristy and Wayne and I.
My baby graduated from grade 12 :)
We are so proud of her.
Not only for graduating but for who she is. She is a smart, loving and compassionate young lady.
Congratulations Kristy :)
Here is Kristy and her boyfriend with her friends.
Don't they look so happy to be celebrating their big day together.
They are just a wonderful group of people.
Congratulations you guys, wishing you nothing but the best for each of your futures.
Onto My Day:
I had to pick up Kristy to take her to her college course.
Her school got out at 2:30 in preparation for their grad. But because Kristy had to go to college, she didn't get out early.
Then Ashley asked if I wanted to check out a few houses with her and her real estate agent.
Well the first house was at 3:30. The time Kristy gets out of her college class.
So I went to the college early, and Kristy was finished her class a bit early.
I got to the house at the correct time, but they were done looking at the house. But the agent said lets take another look.
Heather jumped in Ashley's vehicle and they both headed to the next house.
I dropped Kristy off at home so she could get ready for her graduation ceremony.
Then went to the second house for 4:00.
Funny thing is, we all arrived at the same time, even though I had a detour to bring Kristy home..I guess I did rush.
Ashley is really liking the second house she looked at, but is still not sure.
I told her something will come her way, so take it slow. Its not like a dress and you can return it if you don't like it later on ;)
But she is a smart girl and I know she know this.
I hope you all had a creative Thursday :)

Washi Storage/Video
As most of you know, along with a lot of you, I love washi tape.
Funny thing is, I couldn't understand what all the fuss was about at first.
Until I got my Day Planner :)
Now I can't get enough of this stuff.
I used to store my washi tape in a little pull out drawer, until I ran out of room.

If you want to take a closer look at how I store my washi tape and the other options I had tried, you can check out my video :)
I hope I have inspired you to organize your washi tape and find a perfect way for you to store yours.
I also hope you have all had a creative Wednesday :)

I used to store my washi tape in a little pull out drawer, until I ran out of room.
I had a couple extra of these embroidery floss containers and thought I would give them a try.
I am really happy with how these are working for me.
I like them because:
1, They are inexpensive
2, They are portable. Perfect for taking to the cottage, a crop, or just to a different room.
3, They are in separated by colour, so don't have to cart the whole lot with me.
4, They are clear. Even though I have the labels on them, I can still see what is exactly inside of them from the top, bottom and sides.

Monthly pages all prettied up
I usually share my weekly pages, but today I am going to share with you my month of June pages.
I have the full month (on 2 pages) in my planner, then I put my weeks for that month (1 week on 2 pages) right after that month.
Like my weekly pages, I enjoy decorating my monthly pages as well.
I use my washi tape to block out the days that don't pertain to this month.
I also stamp cupcakes for birthdays and find other stamps that go with special days.
I write special occasions and celebrations in pretty coloured markers.
I write appointments, or other things that may change in the new frixion pens I had just bought on our trip. More on these pen in this post below.
I am planning on making some changes in my life this month and thought this washi tape with this phrase on it was perfect.
The pink pattern is also washi tape :)
Another inspirational quote.
I found this so neat that there is quotes like this on washi :)
Now about those Frixion pens I had mentioned above.
I have heard a lot about these pens lately.
At first I thought oh ya, I had erasable pens when I was younger and they wouldn't erase well, or they would smear.
Just because I wanted to be with the "in-crowd"....and honestly didn't believe they were as good as everyone said they were, I thought I would pick them up and try them myself.
Honestly they are really that great :)
They are bright and the ink is smooth when I write with them.
And they erase really well.
I will have to wait and see if they fade though...I will get back to you on that in a year or so ;)
If your wondering, I picked these up at Target.
Onto My Day:
My sister, Julia just moved into town this last weekend. So I went to see her new place and take her out groceries shopping.
Then picked up Heather and Kristy as they wanted to see her place as well.
After having a visit with my sister, Heather, Kristy and I went to check out a potential house with Ashley and her realtor.
I am not sure if this is the one for her....but you never know.
I hope you all have had a creative Tuesday :)
