On the drive up we saw 5 moose. First ones he have seen so far this year. Just shows the bugs are bad and may be driving them out of the bush.
My day started with Wayne making us breakfast of bacon and eggs.
Then we went for a short walk.
Then we had thunder, lightening and heavy rain.
So I decided to finish the book I started last night.
It was a good book. An easy fast read.
The rain stopped so I decided to go for a walk. Which was short lived as the dark clouds rolled in.

I must have brought in a few Mosquitos, so sat with the zapper to fry those suckers.
Wayne BBQ'd the best ribs I have ever tasted. Not sure if it was because they got rained on or because I dropped a rack on the deck before he put them on the grill, lol. . I am not a big meat eater, but I just kept eating, yummy. 
We got a lot of rain today with loud thunder and lightening, so I stayed in most of the day decorating my planner pages, filling in my walking journal and watching a Walking Dead marathon...when the power was on that is. 
One month and I have filled up my page. I didn't realize I had walked this much, considering I took some time off to nurse my knee.
I also started a new page in my journal for this months walks.

Sounds like a good day all in all. We had rain for a bout a hour...right when DH was Barbque-ing! He held an umbrella!
ReplyDeleteGood on the walking. I am struggling to walk right now so was proud that I managed half a mile to the Dollar store and then back again. Then I had to have a rest in the recliner...lol
We have the same bug zapper...bugs not bad but moths like crazy here.

ReplyDeleteI don't let them in but hubby does, they know I'm in the cottage then bite my hand in the night. I was never sure if those Zappers really worked. Great Job on the walking and the journal. Yummy looking ribs too.
