Day 4 of Fun Shopping...starting to slow down.

I was so looking forward to going to Mall of America today to get my crepes!!
I love the banana caramel crepe!!
Wayne and I walked around the mall and even checked out the mall's map...only to find out that the crepe place "Magic Pan" closed last December 😭
I was seriously so sad...nothing I ate today measured up.

But these came to a very close second, teehee.
We always get these twists with the icing, YUM.
But today they had something I had never had before...Churro Frosting Sandwiches.... its 2 churros with icing in the middle of them.
Wayne liked it, I haven't had mine yet.

To help me get over my loss of crepe, I went to Hobby Lobby and picked me up some Tim Holtz goodies as well as 3 quilt wall hanging panels....haven't sewed in awhile, but looking forward to putting these cuties together.
We did sneak off to Cabalas in Woodbury (nope, we didn't see the governor there).

I ran into Micheals to pick up some more distress ink round foams, then I noticed that they had their paper pads on sale....a real good sale.

Lastly I went to Dollar Tree to look for a large tote bag to cart my new goodies home.
Sadly they didn't have any totes, but I did find 2 cute infinity scarves for the cooler weather.

I always bring a plastic case with me on a trip, to bring any loose papers home without ruining them. I also usually bring 2 bigger totes for my purchases.
One tote I used for my knitting (as I am knitting a queen size afghan for my daughter) and the other one is full.
I will be doing plenty of knitting on our long drive home tomorrow.

I hope you all have a very creative day.

Home with some more goodies to Share

We took a couple of photos of the girls in front of one of the huge Christmas trees in Mall of America.
I wish I brought a better camera, as I only had my cell phone…but no matter, my girls still look great ;)
I have a good photo of Wayne and I in front of this tree, but he didn't want me to post it…big baby.

As I had mentioned in yesterday's post, we went to Ikea, and I found some crafty goodies.
Yes that is some decorative tape. I must have read the tag wrong, as it was twice as much as I thought it was. Didn't notice until later on.
A couple of these inserts for my roskog cart….still thinking about organizing…now to just get my butt in gear ;)

I also found these fun paper clips from there. They came in those round jars you see in the case.
Enough to share with a few friends :)

I went into Typo…that is such a fun/cute store.
Just a tip though….if you go in there, bring your cheater glasses to see the prices. They are so tiny and mistakes can be made, lol.
I thought these little sticker sheets were fun. They will be great for my planner.
I THOUGHT the price was $6.99 for each tin.
More then I would have liked to have paid, but they come in a cute tin and they were fun.
Plus when I am on a trip, I purchase things I normally wouldn't if I was at home.
When I went to pay, I thought, what the heck..this is so not correct.
Got my glasses out of my purse (after the fact) and saw that the price was actually $9.99 for each tin.
I would not have paid that at all, but since I had already, figured I might as well keep them ;)

I picked up this cute leather bound tiny note book at Marshals.
I needed a tiny note book to jot some ideas in while Wayne and I had a sit down at B&N.
I like that it is small enough for my purse and it has grid paper :)
It also has this elastic closure to keep it secure while it is in my purse.
I always need paper and a pen with me :)

On the way home this morning, we stopped at Pine City Scrapbooking.
I picked up a couple of creative goodies.
I like this film strip. I have some plan film strip, but this one has images in the film…though that would be fun to use on a project :)

That is it for me tonight.
Early to bed.
Not sure how early it will be for Heather and Kristy, Luna had missed us and won't leave them alone ;)

Hope you all had a Creative Sunday :)

Day 2 of the Shopping Adventure.

Did some shopping today…lots of shopping ;)
But these are still my purchases from yesterday.
I brought enough 50% off coupons for everyone, so they could help me with my purchases ;)
We went to JoAnns and I found some new colours of Gelatos.
I also found some new colours of Inka-Gold.
I just fell in love with this colour of metallic shimmer paint in blackberry.
Ohhhh how I want to play!!!!!

Look what I found Becky!!!!
I found the "love" punch. Oh so much fun :)
I also picked up this fun deer die for 40% off.

We also went to another Tuesday Morning and I picked up a stencil and some more pretty napkins…yup, I am planning to create withe these ;)

I ran into the Dollar store and found a few goodies.
I grabbed these plastic table cloths for a crop I plan on hosting in the New Year.
I am planning on using this coupon holder for memorabilia I collect throughout the months for my scrapbooks and smash books.
The hair bands are also for using in a craft ;)

Last but not least from yesterdays shopping craziness I picked up a pretty new Christmas table cloth and placemats for my dining room table.
Look at those cute tiny tree and stocking punch..so so cute.
Some fun decorative tape and a planner, like I need another planner, lol.

Onto My Day:
Woke up early so we could get to Mall of America when the stores opened….they opened at 8:00am.
Wayne figured the girls would have 13 hours at the mall, but they only needed 7 hours the first visit, then over 2 hours the second visit, lol.
Wayne and I walked the mall, enjoyed a crepe and some Cinnabon twists. We also brought a couple buns back to the hotel for breakfast in the morning..if they make it that far, lol.
I got over 18,000 steps in today, so I think I deserve it ;)
Wayne and I had a drink and took a breather at Barnes & Noble. He went on his phone and I wrote in a journal I purchased at Marshals ;)
The girls (Ashley)  wanted to go to Ikea….I didn't plan on getting anything, but $40.00 later, I left the store, lol.

I hope you all had a very creative day :)

Just when I thought I was done. More shopping

Today was a full day of shopping.
We were at Mall of America at 7:40am as it opened at 8:00am. The mall is so peaceful when no one but the mall walkers are there.
I was lucky to get a quick photo of my girls before they headed to one of their favourite stores, Forever 21.
When I took this photo Kristy said "your such a mom" lol.
After the girls left, Wayne and I snuck down for a yummy breakfast of crepes ;)
The crepe place is near a really neat card and paper store. I love their window display, I have shared it on my blog before.
But today they had 3 new displays.
I was so impressed with how creative they were I had to give a compliment to whomever designed them.
I asked the salesgirl. She informed me the Christopher Straub from season 6 of Project Runway designed and made them.
I have never watched that show, but anyone can see how creative he is.
He was going to be at the store for a signing and promoting his new cards.
As Wayne and I were walking around the mall I saw these huge onmaments hanging from the ceiling. I had an urge to swing on one and sing "I came in like a wrecking ball". My joke was lost on Wayne, lol.
I think my blood sugar was low, so we went for some cinnasticks.
We were at MOA for 7 hours.
Can you imagine 7 hours of shopping and no crafty stores!!!
Unless you count the dollar store for scissors and glue so I could play with my new punch board?   I don't, lol
Because of that, I ended up retracing my steps from yesterday.
Funny as I was just going to get a couple of pieces of paper so I could make a pillow box, lol
First Archivers
Then found a Tuesday Morning.
Lastly micheals, I had more 50% off coupons ;)
I am still keeping up with the photo a day challenges  I am doing.
Heidi Swapps prompt for today was "Crowds"
Perfect for today. Mind you we were surprised it wasn't busier.
Canadian Scrapbookers challenge for today is
"Shopping"
Another perfect prompt for today. Here are my daughters with their first haul of the day. Wayne and I usually bring their packages to the jeep so they don't have at carry them all day. Such sweet parents they have ;)
That is all from me for tonight. I am going to take a shower, try my hand at that pillow box board and then head to bed. Another early morning.
I hope you have all had a creative and warm saturday. It went down to -20C here. I hear it's a lot colder back home :(
