This one was an easy one to tackle :)
Mostly because I don't have a ton of scrapbooking page kits (I do have my fair share) but not a ton.
I don't belong to any type of scrapbooking kit club, I purchased most of these from when the Crop & Create event came to our city.
I think I bought every one they sold over the last 3 years, lol.
My kits were all in a few tote bags, so they were more or less all together.
And being as they are kits, they are all contained in bags already, so no tedious organizing :)
I put them in a bit of order, such as:
Paper kits I put together,
Christmas kits,
mini album kits,
Fall kits,
and lastly….Pocket Page kits.
which I found odd that I purchased these, and I don't even do pocket pages, lol.
My Tips on Defunkifying:
1. Remove or Gather- Collect all of your page kits and put them all in the same area.
2. Clean- wipe down the area where you plan to store your kits.
3. Sort- Put all like items together…in this case, they are already contained in their own bags…so easy :)
4. Purge- I know…bite my tongue. I didn't purge any of my kits as they are all projects I am planning on completing..one day ;)
5. Organize- Put away in a place that works for you :)
Now I better get to work putting these Kits together….Crop & Create will be here in October ;)
I put together a video in more detail on Defunkifying my Scrapbooking Kits
If you would rather watch it on my YouTube channel, click the link and maybe leave me a comment and a thumbs up :) "Tracy's Treasures24"
I hope you are all have a wonderful and creative weekend :)
We actually have beautiful weather here and I got to go out for a nice walk….the snow is almost gone…if this weather keeps up, it should be all gone in a couple of weeks :)

An Abundance of Kits
I have a lot of scrapbooking kits.
I had never used a kit in my scrapbooking, until a couple of years ago.
I was at the Crop & Create event and they not only gave out a great goody bag with a kit, but they also sold some there.
I purchased a few and completed one, lol.
I enjoyed the one I did, my friend Debbie and I did them together.
I went to the Crop & Create event again last year and purchased all the kits that I could get my hands on.
I really wasn't sure if I would like doing a kit, as I like to pick out papers and embellishments…..even if it took me forever, lol.
These kits give you all of the cutting measurements and I thought that it might take the fun out of scrapbooking….but I was wrong.
It is actually freeing.
If I wanted to, I could just use the papers and do what I want, or I can follow their instructions…I do both.
Here is a video I did before I went away for the May long weekend about my kits and how I use them.
I am planning on doing a more detailed video on how I use these kits to make them stretch for my benefit :)
If you would like to see the full video (as my blog seems to cut off the right hand side of them) click on my link "Tracy's Treasures24"
I hope you all had a very Creative Day :)

Zombie Love Layouts…take 1
I bet you are thinking, "Well its about time" ;)
I am finally ready and able to share my layouts with you…and what better time to share the Zombie layouts then just before Halloween :)
I seem to always make 2 page layouts and the Zombie pages are no exception :)
I had a bit of a challenge (well for me it was a bit of a challenge) as I usually use the same papers on both pages.
But I didn't want to do that on these pages and honestly, I'm trying to break out of my obsessiveness of being symmetrical and matchy matchy…but it will be a long road for me.
Here is a closer look at the first page.
Because these photos are so Awesome, I wanted them to be the main focus on these pages.
Plus these papers are so fun, I couldn't cover them up.
I added these corrugated black letter stickers…aren't' they fun :)
I added these to my zombie kit and was happy that I used them on this layout.
The second page to this layout.
I wanted to tie the two layouts together, even though the papers were totally different.
So I added the the "Beware" sticker and the red enamel dots to tie in with the deep reds on the previous page.
I also added the light brown journal spot and cut apart girl zombie to the 1st page to tie them together.
I don't think I have used enamel dots on a page before, I really like them.
My SIL told me they reminded her of drops of blood…Perfect ;)
I know the value of 3's in scrapbooking, but the enamel dots looked like Mickey Mouse ears when I did that…that is not a look I was going for.
Here are the 2 pages side by side.
I think they tie together pretty good.
I know those one page scrapbookers don't worry about the side by side pages being cohesive as they view each page as an individual.
I love that they are so freeing to be able to look at their pages that way…actually I can look at their albums that way….I'm only anal about my albums, lol.
I also did a video for each of my layouts for my YouTube friends.

Making my own Page Kits
I had mentioned in a previous post that I tried my hand at making my own page kits.
I wasn't sure what to expect from them.
I was hoping it would make the process of scrapbooking a bit quicker for me at a crop.
I was right!!!
I completed…COMPLETED 10 layouts in 2 days, with lots of visiting in between ;)
I am lucky if I complete 1 layout in 2 days, so this was a major accomplishment.
I grabbed some 12x12 bags for each kit.
Then what I first did, was pick out my photos and get them printed up.
I then picked out which pattern papers, I thought, would go good with my photos.
I needed some card stock, so matched that up with my pattern paper.
If I had matching chipboard pieces or stickers then I threw them in the bag as well.
If I had letter stickers that I wanted to use for a title, I added them.
That was it, that was the base of my kit.
Most of my embellishments and some journal tags are in portable container, so I brought those, but didn't put them in the kit. I am new at this kit making, so I wanted to keep it simple as possible for me.
I did a quick video to my kit making process.
I am sure I will get better at this as I make more of them.
Honestly though, even though I made 10 layouts, I only worked from 2 of my kits…I killed those kits
mind you….double happiness ;)

I was lucky enough to get a call from the dentist's receptionist today, and was able to get in so they could do part of my root canal. I am happy to say that my tooth has a temporary filling…so I don't have a hole in the centre of my tooth anymore….its the little things in life ;)
I hope you all had a Creative Tuesday :)

Packing for a Crop
I am early this year ;)
I usually don't pack for a crop until the night before.
But look at me!!!!!
Today is Thursday and the crop is Saturday morning.
Maybe I'm not a procrastinator after all….okay I am.
I made 7 page kits, double page layouts kits.
7 page kits, but I have way more paper in each kit that I could probably double, or triple this number.
Not all of them are complete…honestly, none of them are complete.
I know the photos I want to use (I have to get those developed tomorrow), so I picked the pattern papers and coordinating card stock.
If I had chipboard pieces or stickers that went with my papers or pages, I then added them in the bag with the papers.
As for letters or other embellishments, I haven't got to those yet.
Plus I keep most of my embellishments in some sort of portable containers, so I may just bring the whole container with me and decide on those when the time comes.
I am trying to be more organized on what I take to a crop.
I usually take so many supplies and I don't even use half of them, I am sure I am not alone ;)
I want to perfect my packing process and which supplies I need to take with me…..is that even possible?
I have made a list on what I, think, I will need. I will share that with you all tomorrow.
I hope you all had a Creative Thursday :)
